I gotta say, I applaud ***** for calling these coincidences....well, coincidences. So, so many people would instead claim "TOP TEN STRANGE PREDICTIONS THAT TURNED OUT TO BE TRUE" or some nonsense like that. Coincidences are bound to happen, and I like people who leave them as that without getting into pseudo science.

iTzYoMaster Such a thing coinciding with with another is not so amazing. The word 'coincidence' literally describes occurrences that coincide. Incidents of Synchronicity better describe these examples

I think his last name is spelled Hinkley. I've heard a similar story a few times, but what I heard was George H.W.Bush himself(who was President Reagan's v.p.-against Reagan's wishes I might add,&Bush had been in high levels of the cia for years at this point)who met with John Hinkley Sr. within a week to 10 days prior to the assassination attempt against President Reagan, at a restaurant where they had a long&serious discussion. John Hinkley Sr. is/was John Hinkley Jr.'s dad,&it is well known that the Bush family and Hinkley family were close family friends as well as both families being very wealthy.
Most believe the hit on President Reagan was sponsored by none other than George H.W.Bush himself. President Reagan was pushing to have some things done that Bush and his cronies did not want touched or even talked about,&Bush was heavily into the Deep State and the New World Order who wanted a puppet in the Oval Office to do things the way they wanted them done,&Bush was their man!
Ronald Reagan had refused to allow Bush on his ticket at first when he was running for President because he knew too much about Bush and knew what kind of guy Bush truly was,&Reagan wanted to have no part in any of Bush's dirty dealings. As I mentioned previously,Bush was deep into the cia for quite a long time before he was ever placed on Reagan's ticket as his running mate. The Republican Party told Reagan that they would only support him for President if Bush was his v.p.
If you have any interest, you can find all these details online without too much effort.

I am sick of the word sniper being used incorrectly. Lee Harvey Oswald was not a Marine sniper. He was a rifleman, who shooting skills earned him the badge of sharpshooter, which is second from the best which is expert. U.S. Marines no matter what their jobs are are taught from day one they are rifleman first and what ever M.O.S. skill set they are trained in second. As a U.S. Army sniper in the mid 1990s I was formally trained in stalking and bidding, and yes shooting. However my shooting skills were already present, as I had qualified as an expert in both pistol and rifle shooting for over 6 years before being accepted into sniper school. It seems now that any idiot who picks up a scoped rifle and kills someone at over 50 yards is labeled a Sniper. By that standard my son who shoots competition air rifle at 75 yards with a scope would be labeled a sniper, which is bull sheet. The art of a sniper is mainly one of being able to set up a good bidding place to shoot from then make the shot as undetectable as possible, then making a successful egress out of the danger zone. For every mission I shot on, I did 50 intel. Hides gathering information.

Lincoln's secretary, Kennedy, warned him not to go to Ford's Theatre.
Kennedy's secretary, Lincoln, warned him not to go to Dallas.
This is one of those coincidences that isn't a coincidence at all; it's simply wrong. John Kennedy did have a secretary named Evelyn Lincoln (who may or may not have warned him about going to Dallas), but one searches in vain to find a Lincoln secretary named Kennedy. (Lincoln's White House secretaries were John G. Nicolay and John Hay.)

The Adams / Jefferson story actually goes a little deeper. After the feuding between the two political rivals left them on non-speaking terms, mutual friend and signer of the DOI, Benjamin Rush had a dream that the two of them would begin to write letters back and forth and restore their relationship. Additionally he dreamed that they would die around the same time. He told his dream to Adams and urged him to write to Jefferson. Through a series of letters, they indeed eventually restored their relationship. On his death bed, Adams said, "at least Jefferson still lives," not knowing that he died just hours before.

Lee Harvey Oswald was NOT a sniper in the marines, but a radar operator who barely passed his general marksmanship requirements.
Oswald's job at the Texas Schoolbook Depository was procured for him by Bob and Ruth Paine less than 2 months before the assassination, and there's mounting evidence that the Paines were Oswald's CIA handlers. It was also in the home of the Paines that the police "found" the highly dubious photos of Oswald holding both murder weapons from his alleged crimes that day.
    Not much of a coincidence.

Well, having just caught this Top-Ten site of similarly-themed Top-Ten content for the first time you've got to ask why this site deserves to be singled out over the various, varied alternative Top Ten sites peddling six of one half a dozen of another? Listening to this Top-Tenz (that distinguishes itself from the other run-of-the-mill sites by ending with a "z")(and not because they put you to sleep) is the distinguishing, distinguished British accent that gives anything instant integrity and class as opposed to the other run of the mill sites that sound as pedestrian as their content. Another perspective is the manner in which the content is presented and expressed, more cerebral,. intellectual and profound than others I've sampled. So, I will be keeping up to date with Top-TenZ and their latest offerings by subscription.

#4 - what most people don't know, is that the Vice Presidency used to be given to the runner up of the Presidential election. This practice was stopped however as this meant the President's right hand was usually a bitter rival which doesn't bode well for an efficiently functioning government and as the Vice President is the 1st in the line of succession, having a rival in such a position is potentially quite hazardous to the President's health.

Robert Leather Yes and a lot of the things about the novels describing/"predicting the Titanic were (supposedly) edited after the event to be more similar. The editor obvious saw some minor similarities and decided to reprint it while making it more inline with the actual events. Since the first print of the novel did poorly, there are few surviving copies and the second revised print (which did very well) has significantly more copies floating around, and the legend was born.

Well here's the math put into simple words. You winning the lottery may be something special because of the tiny chance. But just anybody winning the lottery is less special because the chances are quite good that somebody is going to get the right numbers. It's the same with those events. The chance that it happens to you is tiny. But the chance that it happened to somebody at some point in history is relatively high.

Just one correction, it's GavriLO Princip and he was a Bosnian Serb. Generally the tinderbox of Europe is either people of Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian or Macedonian decent; Bosnians are mainly ethnically 3 groups Croatians and Serbians and what are called Bosniaks which tend to me a mix or singularly one of those 2 mixed with Ottoman blood lines and general being followers of Islam. • @ThomasTrue

Morgan Robertson's novel can be put down to educated guesswork. He was not an author before "Futility" but rather was a marine engineer. Indeed, Morgan Robertson invented the submarine periscope. He worked at a time when shipping lines were competing to build increasingly large and luxurious liners, which were given inspiring, heroic names. Robertson was also aware of the owners stocking insufficient lifeboats, partially through cost-cutting and partially because they spoiled the appearance of ships. And of course he was also aware of pack ice in the North Atlantic, and the propensity for shipping lines to dangerously disregard such in the race to have the fastest crossing.
All in all, a tragedy like the Titanic sinking was almost bound to happen. Morgan Robertson recognised that, and "Futility" - which only had the subtitle "The Wreck of the Titan" added in its 1912 reprint - can be seen as a warning, rather than a prediction.

Also Morgan Robinson the Author of Futility was writing Before Ships were 3 screw and before they were so large as Titanic. He also wrote a book about a World War before there had been a World War that started for the USA when they were attacked by the Empire of Japan which was when he was writing just recently opened up to the western world. The attack happened on a December Sunday. And there were these "Sun Bombs" that killed and burned people above decks on ships so that the Stokers the folk who fueled the engines by shoveling coal into the boilers, were the ones driving the ships since being below decks they had been spared damage from the Sun Bombs. Lastly in an age where the airplanes were made of wood, wire and canvas and were fairly slow the war planes in the novel were metal and fast, and armed with guns and bombs.

How are you able to a new one of these every single day? I would have thought that the research alone would take quite some time. Are you afraid that you may run out of subjects at some point? I highly respect people whom still go about their lives as independent scholars and who still care enough to research the facts in the capacity that you do. I know that you probably have a team of knowledge seekers that help you, how else could you produce these in such quantities while keeping up the quality. My only complaint would be that because I'm a glutton for knowledge that along with my own independent research of the random, I lose so much time binge watching your channel in a fevered thirst for all things knowledge and bizarre and some days get very little else done. I applaud you for your work ethic and passion in what you do.

The final draft of the text of the written document was approved by Congress on July 4th 1776, but it wasn't actually signed till August 2nd. (and I am a Canadian who knows a few world history facts - not an American - and yes I had to google the exact dates, but i knew that the declaration was NOT signed on July 4th - which in my opinion means the Americans should be celebrating their holiday in August)

The words in the crossword puzzles in number 3 were not randomly chosen. The school teacher had his pupils supply the words to generate the puzzles. The town the school was in was situated near several military bases, as they were in the south of England, near the channel. The kids picked up the words by soldiers talking amongst themselves around town and, though had no idea of their meaning, used them in the crosswords.

Not sure if it's true, but there was a play that showed how the secret words appeared in the crossword. The compiler was a teacher who would give the blank crosswords to his pupils to fill in as a detention punishment and then use them for the actual crossword. Apparently one of the pupils used to hang around a nearby American army base and, presumably as he was just a kid, the soldiers let slip the words in his hearing. He, being mystified and fascinated, then used them in the crossword.

Here's an intriguing coincidence that happened a few years ago in my hometown in north-east England, similar to the story of the Finnish twin brothers. A woman had her car stolen by a man who proceeded to drive recklessly to the other side of the town where he hit and killed another woman who was walking along the pavement. The woman he killed was the sister of the lady who's car he had stolen. My town has a population of about 100,000 people so we're not talking about a small village, the odds against something like this happening are pretty high I would say.
