Waiting for the roommate to move out feb. 1, then it's no holds barred
How’s it going now? Any update?
How did it go?
Andrew, thanks for breaking your ventilation system down from the Lab to the grow room. And explaining the advantages of positive pressure in the Lab and negative pressure for the grow room! 👍
You dont over explain. I love how informative your videos are. Ive learned so much from watching them. Thanks for being an inspiration and sharing what you've learned along the way.
This is such a neat, informative video. You guys are awesome!
A few nuggets of gold in that video, thanks for sharing
Great in detail and informative. Thanks for sharing!✌👍🤙🍄🙏
I have not looked at your videos since the beginning
Your progress, humbleness et practicality is awesome and refreshing
Proud of you et for you
Thanks this is great - thank you. We're just starting off our farm and there aren't enough videos like this to navigate the trouble spots!!!
The best video/explanation I've viewed. Thanks so much for your time and sharing your expertise.
Thank you andrew!!! Much love brother!
ok that time it worked ya made me subscribe . ive watched the knowledge you share and i find it awesome thanks man for documenting your progression i will be selecting the vids in gratitude that i need to watch . i am a beginner and i want to thank you , thank you .
Another great one! Thank you guys ♥️
Very informative! Nice one!
Awesome video thank you for the information!
so cool, thanks for the pro tips bro!
You can use a higher pressure blower to introduce a venturi effect in a duct using air outside to "push" inside air out.. You can keep your blower out of the path of the exhaust, we use bounce house blowers to create this effect in bag making to keep our fans out of the exhaust. Works great but is energy intensive
Great info…. Much thanks!
I friggin love your setup and def alot of good information. I'm starting to get into growing gourmets clearly theres money to be made so gonna try it's kinda cool that like you can make money off of mushroom letting mushrooms do what they do colonize and fruit.
Thanks for the video, very informative pal. God bless
ANDREW + SAMANTHA
THANKS SO MUCHO! LOVE YOUR INFORMATIVE VIDEOS! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME TO SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND OPERATION KNOW HOW! Also, thanks for putting your name up so that I can see it; sometimes you say it so fast and I am so s l o w that I couldn't quite catch it. Your mushroms are SO BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you my friend. Great video
This is my biggest hurdle right now is FAE
Perfect Andrew! Perfect information for the person trying to put the BEAST (aka all the diy engineering) into ACTION! Addressed every question I had in this regard. I'm sure you were helpful to others in this stage of planning and its very easy to follow your information. We look forward to the first multiple 12lb bag oyster flush! The Frankenstein I built indoors.
2'x2' ft hepa merv13 @290cfm....
Lab: 360cuft
Fruiting: 420cuft
Positive pressure lab and a negative fruiting room...the laminar flow blower is powering the fruiting room exaust at the moment @ a constant 290cfm. Also positive pressure from the lab is used for blowing the 12disk fogger @
290cfm.
With this rate of flow 290cfm:
HI RH% 82
Low RH% 70
It goes from 82% to 70% in about 11 and 11 minutes from 70% back 82%. Inkbird controler. Seems like plenty of airflow but I dont know until I get there. I could increase airflow if I wanted. This is what Im starting with. Thanks for the help!
Good stuff thanks
Great Information. Gives me a good place to start designing out my system. Thank you for all Y'all do!!!
I sent an Email with the Indigo Milk Caps pics as promised.
Have an Awesome Day!!!
Beautiful explanation
great video dude.
To help save on replacing fans, what about putting them on the outside of the grow room and creating a venturi with piping to suck the air out. No spores going into fan.
So useful
I have been reading up on ventilation in preparation of building my new grow room and i was surprised to learn that sharp turns in the ducting really affect the flow rate of fans so you might want to look into it and maybe trim a bit of the duct in 9:34 so there is more of a straight line, unless there is a reason for it.
Great video! how about temperature, is your incubation room warmer than your grow room? do you use an AC anywhere?
A sharp corner in a metal dryer vent almost burnt my house down! Lint built up in there, and someone put the lightning rod a bit too close to the duct...
Thank you!!!
thank you!
Thank you for this, I especially appreciated the idea of using your laminar flow to create positive pressure in your lab. May I ask what fan you are using to make this work?
Bro I love your HVAC strategy!
Thank you for this video, I’m guessing the same thing happens to cubensis when they’re too much CO2, heard the caps were more a little potent than the stem
High I love your videos and this one was very interesting as Im a newbie and live in New Zealand, my question for you is how many kgs or pounds are your fruiting blocks and if you had your fruiting room in a grow tunnel outside that has natural venting do you think they would go ok.. I can still install a fan if I notice elongated growth yes? Keep up the great videos.
I really appreciate all the rune symbols you have on all the doors/ around the mushrooms.
Thanks! We like to personalize our area! :)
thank you kindly dear sir
Really enjoying your show. I hope you splurge this Christmas and get yourself a proper lab table surface. Hoping you and your family have a great smaller holidays. Oh, you might want to do a white board drawing of the flow from room to room. It would save your voice for the important tips about how to read your mushrooms. T.Y. Looks like you will be renting warehouse space before you know it. Well done.
Yep, yep, and yep! Check out the latest videos! You were right!
Do more videos like this!
It would be great to see an update on your preconditioner and HVAC solution ?
Would you be inclined to place an air con unit in the preconditioner to control temp before :
1. Pipe some conditioned air to lab via flow hood and multiple filter setup
2. Send remainer conditioned air to incubation to create a positive pressure environment, @ 20 c approx
3. Create a negative pressure environment in Grow or Fruiting room to extract co2 and maintain fae.
4. How would you increase the temps slightly in the grow room to 24 c ? For optimal fruits?
Conversely, in the summer you may need to chill to 24 c? For optimal fruits? So would you consider replacing a heater, with an additional air con specifically for the grow rooms only ?
5 or is have two different room at two different temperatures to hard and wasteful to achieve? So, best only regulating temperature within the preconditioner at 20 c . So is best to place an air con and optional heater within the preconditioner?
6. Lastly, how do you recover any exhausted heat or cooling ? Probably with a radiator tied into the HVAC that works with the preconditioner?
A bit of a ramble, too many questions, i do hope to see an update from your new place/solution , will keep tuning in
That's a lot of necessary air exchanges. I'm curious how do you heat or cool your incoming air? Is it done inline in the duct? Hopefully for many months you don't need to heat or cool. But what about the cold winter and hot summer months?
With Titles! Get'in all fancy on us!
You look so mysterious in that mist. You should tell ghost stories.
Thanks. I am new to studying mushrooms and it was my first mossy ck clip. I notice your bags in the grow room are very close together. Do you only puncture holes in the outward facing direction? Curious to how you grow them so close and not damage the product when harvesting. Cheers.
Hello !
I have a question! :D (Very rewarding video, thank you)
If I understood your video correctly, in a monotube it would be better to put a fan that sucks the air out of the box to reject it outside in order to evacuate the Co2 and to incorporate oxygen? (through other holes + micropore)
If this is the case, the risk of introducing contaminants must be significantly reduced in these circumstances.
What do you think?
I think it's better to over-explain than it is to under explain. I think your video was fine
At 12:56 the bags all have an asterisk (*). That reminds me of Kurt Vonnegut.
Great video thanks for the info. However, does jet washing the fans not wet and break the motor ?
Nice shrooms look like loads of fun, I have 5 x5 and want to bring up the humidity, The house of hydro has 1 mist maker, would that work for me or should I get the 3 mist maker?
Thnx for this video...I figure that my incubation room really needs some sort of ventilation...currently it's almost sealed... also, does lack of ventilation during one phase, i.e. incubation, trigger deformed mushrooms in the grow-room? Also, is the a video where you show us an example of various oyester mushrooms it states of perfect, dry, to moist Nd lack of ventilation...that will really be helpful
blessings
Are those holes in your flow hood repaired with silicone caulk?
I only ask because thats what my flow hood looks like and I’m glad I’m not the only one!!
How you control temperature in grow room? How you heat and how you cool your grow room?
Can you advise what kind of respirator we should use inside the fruiting room?
Excellent video! Does it make more sense to have the exhaust fan down low to pull more CO2 out of the grow room?
Wondering the same.
My question is, do you ever clean the ducts? I would think the spores will clog those ducts.
Mossey how u maintain humidity in the incubation room? Don't see may foggers as such?
So if you're exhausting grow room air to the outside you must be pulling air from the rest of the house. Right? How does this affect your heating and cooling costs for the rest of the house where your living space is? Or are you pulling fresh air directly from outside, like through the rim joist somewhere?
How you managing humidity in the incubation room
Hi where can i see links for the fans and the humidifiers and hunidifiers sensors?
i think the sharp turn in the ducting is made to prevent any condensed water to reach back to the fan. i also want to know more about temperature (do you use an AC for that ? that's a crucial question for me and i thank CMZ neu for asking it) and the humidifier.
As for the video, it's great as usual, thanks a lot.
so for negative pressure, i need one inlet fan that is weaker and one stronger outlet fan?
Hey! great info! thenks. I have a question, what kind of light and how much do you need in the grow room?
The whiter light is better 7500k and for the brightness if you can read a magazine comfortably then it is OK
Would u say positive or negative its basically means what side of the wall the fan is on??
Might be a stupid question, what if you used an oxygen tank for the fruiting process? Can you have to much O2
So do you put a intake in and out take exhaust system
for button mushroom its appropriate to use wood ? its clean??
Hey sir
What co2level we need maintain for oyster
I have a question what if you change soy pellet for soy flour. What rule have a fat in growing mushrooms?
Link to your vortex fan?
At what point are you cutting the bags open? I have oysters that begin to pin in the bag before it is even fully colonized and they poke through wherever they want regardless of where I put the cuts.
😃
Hey what temp do you grow your king trumpets in?
great tips man! how long is the cycle time of black pearl?
10-20 day inoculation fruits from 7-14 days depends on environmental factors.
good day to ya,,, I was very sad to know that my computer can not forward to any of the url s being put up,, It says,"because this site doesn't have a secure connection,, I wanted to check some of your grain cultures to order..Maybe when you get the warehouse up and running there will be a better connection,,more secure,, just thought you might need to know this kink.. hagd..
humidifier always on 24/7 right?
Humid air is less dense than air. Humidity is 804g/m^3, air is 1220g/m^3. What you mean is the mist that is slowly falling down!
Hi, I stuffed up and mixed by accident two different oyster strains together (Sajor Caju + Italian) Do I get now 2 different oyster growing out the bag or do I just get rid of this mixed oyster mushroom strain.:( :( Please advice Thanks.
Curious why you said not to have a filter on your air fan? Would it clog up fast?
Appreciate all your videos!
most of the fresh air in the farm is put through 3 filters so internal air movers are moving filtered air... I guess!
The whole duct setup looked too long and restricted with bends. The filter probably added too much resistance.
Positive pressures pushes the door closed negative pressures swings it open?
... ARENT YOU LOSING A LOT OF EXTRACTION POWER AS AIR GOES ROUND THE u-BEND BY FAN?
What about the big spore holder you carry everywhere? The beard.
Hey is that a helm of Awe on that door?
Can someone help me out? I just bought a 40x40x80 inch grow tent. What size exhaust fan would I need? I was thinking a 4inch inline fan would work. I'm just starting and probably wouldn't have more than 4 lions mane fruiting blocks at a time. Also I'm going to try and use my room humidifier on the grow tent. Ok I'm going to sub and hit the 👍 button. Thanks
That's what I use but you'll need it running most of the time
Do any of you all deal with tons of condensation runoff in your exhaust ducting?
I'm sure that you've said it, but I am unable to locate the answer at the moment. What kind of fan is that?

Have u ever turn off the lights in growing room
Hi , my name Is Demian from argentina, i really love your job, and examples flor the mushrooms. I wanna show you some inconvenient that i have un muy grow room, maybe u can help me with your experience
Fly s attack on my oyester mashroom farm how solve please help
Hello there, how about blow the co2 air from the mushroom fruiting chamber into a cannabis grow tent? any thoughts? cheers!
From your incubation room sure, not from the fruiting chamber, otherwise you kill your plants with spores.
Hi,
Faitres vous des envois de seringues vers belgium
Vous etes fantastique,formidable.
Great video, but can you explain how to dip and clean the fans? I can't find info on this anywhere. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I don't want to ruin mine 🙆♀️
I think he said they just pressure wash it.
Idk if the condo association will let me pull of a system like this :/
Does a fan filter unit work as well as your style of flow hood?
All my research says doubt it.
@@keepthatlilsmug I'm referring to one that's used in medical/ laboratory settings. I found out after researching that the DIY ones are trying to do the same thing as the ones I was talking about
@@cody.blanco I probably spoke too soon. What type are u talking about ?
Wondering what your electricity bill is - makes me wonder how 'shrooms grow in the wild. Doesn't seem possible. Missing something.
