I support all daddy/daughter connections. I'm a newer father to a daughter and want to build all the connection I can with her in the future. So keep up the great job and being a leader to other fathers. Thank you
Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, what would be the point of having all this stuff if we could not share it. Just grateful that she has an interest. Congrats on being a new dad. It’s the best thing ever!!!
I have an 09’ h2 with the 6.2 and 6L80 that is supercharged. I started out with a 07’ h3 and loved it. I recently purchased two red 07’ h3’s for my two boys. They are both getting rebuilt and 5.3 LS swapped. I’ve always thought that a boosted v8 in a h3 would be the perfect platform
Y'know, I started watching for the 6.5 because my daily is a 96 cre cab dually with a bunch of work, but your videos gave me the bug bad man, I got my second project ever in my 72 dodge demon, it was my dad's first car and man is it keeping me busy
FYI... When you crank up the Torsion bars, you are going to have problems with the axle shaft boots, they will start ripping shortly after you raise the front end up. My advice to you is to not just replace it with another axle shaft, go with the RCV, it's a lot more expensive but worth it.
I had a 2005 H2 and drove it from 99,000K to 230K before I sold it and had ZERO problems that entire time (sold it to my friend and it now has 260K+ and he’s still loving it). I bought a 2006 H3 about 6 months ago, it’s at 115K miles now and I love it just as much as the H2! (I also got a GREAT deal on it, it was $8000 with 112K miles on it, insanely clean) I hope she enjoys the H3 for years to come!
Nice, I love the H2's. In fact that is what my daughter wanted but I made her settle for an H3 until she gets more driving experience. Maybe an h2 in a few years. Thanks for watching.
My 35's fit perfect without even raising the front. Although I did crank them up eventually about a inch. Had to buy a spacer for my spare to fit though.
My daughter actually was thinking about doing that. I think she decided to keep the green but we bed line the hood in black and then take all the chrome off and black that out also. Should look pretty good. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What center jack are you running for your lifts? I am considering getting one because tired of running bottle jacks on each side of my lift when I need the wheels off the tracks. Thanks!
Not sure. It came with the lift. I will check later today when I get into shop. Bought off a group out of Arkansas I think. Will find out. Thanks for watching.
I own Toyota fj cruiser 07 and o jeep unlimited 05 and jeep commander 06 now I'm hook on he hummer all my other are lifted but looking at hummer truck or suv what I have found was hardly no upgrades no good lifts but on my Toyota fj cruiser 6speed got it for 7500 have drop 20k in it i love Toyota but one I want the h3 hummer truck but what happens to upgrades its like vendor for after market was not many so up in air if it worth the headache worth buy g a vehicle that has very after market upgrades
There is starting to be a good source of upgrades and a following for the H3 so I would say go for it. I have been driving it a lot since getting the engine rebuilt and this thing is unstoppable. With the winter storm we just had, this has been the go to vehicle to drive. As good or better than my Ford Raptor. Thanks for watching.
So nice to see you doing this with your girl, my goal is to keep my 07 H3 adventure in good enough shape to be ready for my oldest daughter when she’s ready for her first car. I think it’d be a great safe option for her first car too. Good luck to you both getting yours in shape 🤙🏼
Thank you. Sorry just seeing this comment. Her and I have had a blast fixing this up. Good luck to you also on working with your daughter. It's worth it, no matter what car you get. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Besides being the cleanest one I've seen. Your a candidate for the torsion keys. They reindex the key on the bar. So you don't need so much crank to lift. More or less saying your bars are weak. 23 is good enough to run big tires. Would check your jounce bumpers on the lower arm that their not trashed
Thanks for watching and commenting. Just getting into the H3 scene so any info is appreciated. Will definitely look into your suggestions. Thanks again.
H3 which I'm sure you've seen by now don't need torsion keys. The stocks are all you'll ever need unless your trying to raise the front higher than the back like these goofy looking trucks people are doing now lmao.
Nope, just crank up the torsion bar bolts. They sell new "keys" you can install on the torsion bars but everyone says that they are really not needed if you don't go any higher than I did. Just make sure to lift the front tires off the ground/lift as it will make it go much easier. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I'm commenting now at the beginning of the video but you do not need a lift to fit 35-in tires on the Hummer h3 My stock Hummer h3 fits 35-in tires very nicely. 315 75 r16
Yes, 4 out of 5 crankshaft bearings were spun. No bueno. Had the entire engine rebuilt. Runs like a dream now but, I just bought her a H2 so will be selling soon. Will be doing a video shortly. stay tuned. Thanks for watching.
Yes, I was shocked at how much it was. But, it made for a dependable daily first driver for my daughter. We upgraded to an H2 with a 6.0 about a year ago. Thanks for watching and commenting.
My mom got one of these h3s pretty much brand new 82,000 km on it and 3 weeks in to owning it barely 200 km on it and it started knocking, sorry to say man the engine is probably toast because after the knocking started the engine just let go, those engines are super unreliable, your going to most likely have to swap it with something else if you want something reliable
Whatever. I've had Jeeps and Hummers. The H3 base stock will do things my 5.7 hemi jeep couldn't dream of. The H3 is cheaper to work on. My Jeeps are both at the junkyard. My 1st H3 is on it's 3rd driver and still going strong. The other is still out in my driveway.
Thing is the inline 5 does have problems with heads and when not noticed in time leads to engine failure. I went around all this and bought a H3 Alpha and I have zero regrets. Best truck I've ever owned and never gets stuck in snow. My big complaint is the damn sun roof always clogging up so until I can fix it right I flex sealed the whole damn thing.
So you never did tell us what was the issue that would be nice to know if you had a mechanic rebuild the motor I'm sure he told you what was wrong with it that made All That Knocking going on it was surely be nice if you could let us know
Yes, had the engine rebuilt. I think I went through on another video but 4 of the 5 rod bearings were trashed. I suppose the previous owner either ran it low on oil or did not change it very frequently. Had the entire engine gone through and ran perfectly when we sold it.
@@SimplybEpic not really any of my business but why on Earth did you go through all that to build your daughter a nice Hummer and then sell it did she not like it afterwards or you just wanted to recoup your money I've got mine and I love it it has zero problems knock on wood so yeah the last owner of yours must have run it low on oil or something because I don't understand all those rod bearings being bad after that little bit of miles either that or they just rode it hard it look like it had been through a rough life but it looks pretty good when you finished it I'm thinking about painting my rims black ever since I saw yours it looked nice I just bought brand new tires so I think I might paint the rims before I put the tires on

If you raise the front will be much easier to crank and less stress for torsion bars😄
Хорошая машина, если подходить с умом! 👍 удачной эксплуатации

Right on!
That was great to see, father/daughter project, well done, I did enjoyed and learned…
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching.
I have a 2006 , was thinking of doing the torsion bars . After all this time do you recommend to do it??
Excellent video 👍
Great video! Look forward to this series.
Thanks. And thank you watching and commenting. More coming soon.
Lift up the front and take the weight off the bars.

Why did you pick a h3 over a h2? Which is better ?
My 35's fit perfect without even raising the front. Although I did crank them up eventually about a inch. Had to buy a spacer for my spare to fit though.
Yes, we are getting ready to mount the 35 on the rear. Thanks for letting me know about spacer and thanks for watching.
Did you go with different upper control arms. Do you think cv shaft in front are under stress?
No, just stock. But I do agree with you, putting alot of stress on the shafts. We actually lowered back down a little to help. Thanks for watching.
Did you have to buy torsion key or did you do that with stock ones
Just used stock ones. Thanks for watching.
nice hummer h3, love this colour. you can cover it with the matte green military style

Yes, we found that out doing the lift. We wen ahead and did it to level the Hummer out a bit. Thanks for tuning in.
@@SimplybEpic thanks for making H3 content that is useful.
Q; Maybe I missed something, but did you ever find out what was wrong with the engine? Love the build btw!!

For that price I'd have definitely been putting a 5.3 in there.

Her voice sound more masculine lol
Yep, she has had a low voice since birth. People always tell her she sounds like Miley Cyrus, she likes that, I don't so much. Thanks for watching.
Her ?
You already know but that’s going to ride like crap after adjustment:):
Was surprised that ride did not get much worse. Thought it would be bad. Thanks for watching.
she really looks like she can handle a car like that. Adult women in europe can't handle even small cars
