Good video! What you're feeling is pretty much normal for most people with kids. When you're away from them, there's a sense of relaxation and guilt at the same time!
@@girland2vandogs Kinda, it's definitely a complicated set of emotions! I was in the military for a long time (retired now), and every time I would leave for deployment I would feel a sense of relief along with guilt. Unfortunately I let the guilt win and spoiled her when I was home because of it and was always a friend to her when I should have been a parent. Now that she's older our relationship is.....not bad but, definitely complicated! (if that makes any sense!) I say show me a parent that hasn't silently mouthed the words "F**k you" behind their kids back at least once while holding double middle fingers, and I'll show you a liar!
Beautiful scenery, I had no idea how awesome Montana is! Charlie is so freaking adorable 🥰 and I do miss Penny but I know she’s in a good place and soon y’all will be together! ❤
I hope all is going well..I took a break from the internet. But glad to see your still on. I lived in the Beartooth mountains for a summer. Best choice I made..p.s also Again love your music choices ✌️
@@girland2vandogs if I get mine I'll try for 2 weeks if can't then it will be weekly lol. I wouldn't have anything else to do 😂. Hershey might get bored he likes to ride
Thanks for the beautiful content as always! No doubt you love Penny, getting additional help with her reactivity is absolute confirmation of that! It's ok to enjoy the downtime. You'll be in a much better place to energy wise when she comes home, which is always a good thing for our fur babies, since they feed off our energy.
What a beautiful week you had! I'm really looking forward to seeing Montanna. Probably not till 2024, but just can't wait. No, your voice is anything but annoying. And that Charlie - what a hoot. How many slaps in the face did you get from his happy-tail while talking to all the cows from Penny's spot? Understandable the emotional roller coaster you're on over her being away for training. You're helping her to be her best dog, so that's a huge win for everyone, but I can certainly understand the yin-yang emotions you're having over it. I like you're weekend coffee shop idea.
Had fun traveling along with you and Charlie, having my coffee and getting ready to hike with friends. I’ve discovered in my retirement that you have to look for fun experiences and visiting coffee shops and bookstores, antique shops in different places are a couple of mine. My first dog was a black lab so I’m well acquainted with tail slaps! 😊 It’s good to see you excited. I’ve been to Yellowstone a few times but never did the Beartooth highway so I’m excited too!
I feel the same way about my reactive dog, Harvey. Sometimes I leave him in the van while I take my puppy, Penny, for a walk. Yes, I feel guilty too, but I have to remind myself that Penny deserves to do things too, even if Harvey can't. The truth be told, I think Harvey is happier staying inside the van! Right now, I'm parked on a mountain top outside of Albuquerque, with the door open - Harvey is happy to stay inside, while Penny enjoys exploring!
I think the way you felt is completely normal and understandable. In fact I felt it this past weekend when I took Thor to a get together at a friends new house where dogs were welcome and dropped Nyx ( my foster who will most likely be a foster-fail ) off with my mother. I felt guilty about leaving him but he cannot be trusted off leash and is still a bit leash reactive around other dogs. Plus there were cats there which he has a very high prey drive. Thor on the other hand is great and gets along with everyone. So it was a relief going and being able to hang around friends and not have to worry about what my dog was doing, etc. But at the same time I felt guilty because I want Nyx to be involved. He's just not there yet but we are working on it! Come to find out also he did not mind being left behind either lol. I think I felt worse about it than he did. So yeah I totally get what you're feeling but it is nice to be able to just relax and let your guard down every now and then.
Great vid this week - the beartooth highway looks amazing and I definitely need to add that to my list, though I'd be doing #rentalcarlife. Funny about Charlie and the rodents...squirrels were my old dog's arch nemesis (or arch nemesi?)
Who told you that you have an "annoying voice"?! Please do not let that take root in your soul. You have a very "normal" feminine voice. You are lovely just the way you are. ♥️
I hate to say this, but van lifers ruin it for real RVs. I've been an RVer for 20 years and I've never had a problem. I stopped at a Walmart on Phoenix a month a go. Then I had security tell I can't spend the night there. I asked, why would you say that? He couldn't answer. I knew where he was going. Too many people sleeping in their vans taking advantage of their generosity. I was angry and said fuck off. I have a real motorhome and a home. And reservations at an RV park.
Your channel is growing. Good job young lady
Thank you so much 🤗
The beauty … so incredible … brought a tear to my face 🌺🌺🌺
I just hope I can see some of these someday from my own car window 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Add it to your bucket list! ☺️

That makes sense. It’s mostly guilt that I shouldn’t be having so much fun without her. Same with kids?

Beautiful views again, love the lakes, little town didn't look bad. Grab enough food and stay a week or two in them spots be nice.
I usually stay in the same spot during the weekdays and move/explore on the weekends. Anything longer and I get bored haha

Lol he doesn’t discriminate, anything small and squeaky is his top priority in life!
@@girland2vandogs forgot to mention cats - and, strangely, vespa motor scooters, of all things. she was an odd duck
You might want to take a look at a map since over half of that drive through the Beartooths is in Wyoming.
I’m well aware, thank you. Never said the whole thing was in Montana. No need to leave rude comments when you can simply keep scrolling.
You travel to USA it fun and you have your dog it a lot of driving too
Beautiful views, thank you for sharing with us. I miss Penny, hope to see her soon, how long is her training again?
It will be a few more weeks until she’s back to her rolling in dirt, goofy girl antics.
