Obviously I am writing this, after finally recovering from all the immense cuteness I was a witness to. Thanks for the forewarning (I was able to keep the antidote to his cuteness nearby. My naughty dog barked at the doorbell and spilled his water. Phew. tragedy averted!) Charlie is really the Bestest Boy!
Dude is living his best life (he’ll have some excellent stories for penny)…cool you were able to train Charlie to balance on the board. And that last scene of driving away from the lake; it’s a view as if out of a dream, the way the sun hits. So cool!
Oh! And if you dig ghost towns, there’s an amazing one called bodie in California, about 2 hrs south of Tahoe and close to Yosemite, if you’re ever in that neck of the woods
@@girland2vandogs the plus about bodie is that leashed dogs are allowed. I’m an aspiring old west history nerd; so many interesting stories to dive into. And the towns that have gold mining backgrounds but have stuck around are cool to explore too

I know cooler weather is your happy place, so 'Indian Summer' notwithstanding, I guess that's where we're headed soon enough. As each week passes, your videos make me a little more jealous for exploration on the western side of the US. I'll get there, but for the immediate future, it's off to the Northeast for peak color in NH for me. Loved the ghost town! Thanks for showing us that the movies pretty much get it spot-on portraying the early settlers' lives. Like today, I suppose the 'oldest profession in the world' could be found in all the usual places. I think movies just end up in saloons and hotels for being where the action was. In more ways than one, if you catch my drift. ;) Have a wonderful week ahead.
