Interesting fact : Garuda Indonesia Flight 421 actually ditch in Bengawan Solo river on January 16 2002 after both engines flameout in bad weather in fact, that accident is very similar to TACA Flight 110 because both accident flights are the Boeing 737 300 . Play RFS, TFS or Xplane if you guys want to recreate Miracle on the Hudson

I recreated the trailer of the movie in 3 different simulators, geofs, RFS and infinite flight, geofs being the best because of the 3.0 water physics

@@lovelycall haven’t got them on yt and I only recorded the clips for infinite flight and RFS but I can’t already tell it’s not as good Geofs
one thing you did get wrong swiss is that they lost their engines at around 3000 feet, and not 5000 feet. This means also that they were way lower and losing altitude after reaching 3000 feet. So they really couldn't have made it back
They could have actually made it if they turned back immediately after striking the birds, but by the time it took Sully and Jeffery to comprehend what had happened and run through checklists it was too late to try to make it back
@@aviationdude1 they only could have made it after 17 practice attempts like the simulation pilot :)

The bird strike happened at around 2800 feet, to be specific 2818 feet then they leveled off at 3000…the bird strike didn’t happen at 4500

They didn't level off specifically at 3000, the aircraft continued to climb up to 3200 at 180 knots or so.

@@aviationgaming1564 There is a system on the airbus that automatically will push the nose down in a stall/near-stall.
@@gaztastic oh I know that but in an emergency it is procedure for the captain to take control of the plane or the first officer if the captain is incapacitated

Fact: A couple days ago we are all remembering Air Florida Flight 90. A 737-200 flying from Washington DCA to Fort Lauderdale that had ice on the wings and crashed in the Potomac River, killing almost everyone, and only 3 survived. People on the bridge actually jumped into the water to help save people, none of the people from the bridge died in the water.
So tragic. Could have been prevented - CRM!

As most other people are stating, the real flight lost the engines at around 3000 feet. (This simulator recreation was wrong because of the person who made it) Another issue with this is MSFS itself. In the sim, it is not only the wrong plane, A320 NEO instead of the older CEO... in the sim the A320 neo has always been somewhat overpowered, along with the fact that it is already slightly more powerful than the older CEO in the first place, MSFS in unrealistic in the speed of the a320. With that info, the entire "recreation" in MSFS is completely wrong; you can only get back to the airport because the bird strike happened way higher than it did in real life (1) and (2) the A320 neo in MSFS is more powerful than the real NEO irl, AND to add on to that; even the real life NEO is already more powerful than the A320 that actually landed in the hudson, making it so you had much more speed and height in the sim. This is why you were able to go back to the airport, instead of having to go into the hudson.

@@afffe4444 I mean it can, the ram air turbine is supposed to supply the hydraulic pump
@@roxout5743 the RAT supplies the blue hydraulic system and not the green and yellow ( blue is a sort of back up system in normal operation it is powered by an electric pump and in emergency by the RAT, the yellow system is powered by engine no 2 in the air or by the green system through the PTU. Same goes for the green system(only it is powered by engine no1)) so the thing is the green and yellow systems are connected by the PTU (no liquid transfer tho) but the blue is a completely independent system. And long story short the landing gear is supplied by the green system so even if the RAT came out they could not have lowered the landing gear hydraulically… but they could have used the gravity extender (red lever at the rear end of the center pedestal)
@@balintmatrai6702 thank you for the clarification, i'm no expert when it comes to Airbus planes so it's always nice to hear explanations. (also I meant "supply electric power" instead of "the hydraulic pump", not as nearly the same thing)

Same lol. Everyone knows that if an engine failure happens you just ditch the aircraft. It’s in the checklist of all flights with engine failures.
Like Air France 447 the pilots just jumped without jumping and just let the plane crash just like the checklist.

A reason that you made the landing was that you were taking off and climbing in to/ga but first of all it was a flex take off and in sop you use cl detent to climb and that gave uou some extra speed to come back to laguardia
