- In a twist on this traditional medium, artist Leslie Lambert Redhead walks us through how she creates large-scale watercolour pours.
Using Winsor & Newton's new Jewel Toned Professional Water Colours, Leslie masks out her white, light, and mid-tones in turn, pouring her watercolours to create a truly glowing effect.
Her step-by-step instructions will teach you what you need to know to get started on your very own watercolour pours!

Oh my gosh Leslie these colors worked so well together and the painting was really dynamic.
I never knew you could pour watercolors! Love this!
I absolutely love this! It is so satisfying I’m so many levels!
Love it- awesome colors; so refreshing to see watercolors used in this manner!
Thank you for this excellent video on watercolour pouring techniques. Your instructions are clear and you described the pitfalls at various stages.
This is gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing!
Very useful process. Pouring paint tends to turn out luscious graduation that you cannot obtain otherwise.
Thank you for a wonderful demonstration.
Magnifique
Great video! I've always wanted to try this technique and now I have a good idea of how to do it! Thank you!
What a great idea! Thanks! Great job! Very interesting results.
5his is amazing. A lot of work goes into it but the end result is worth it.
Such a cool technique..going to try this soon!
Fascinating process. Thank you !
Awesome! That was a lot of work!
Excuse me I dropped my jaw around here somewhere.
Goodness this is incredible!
Love your work❤
This is fascinating and I am so glad that I discovered Opus, and this video. I do not think that I would have ever thought of this technique and this technique has so many possibilities.
One thing about this video that I find so annoying is that you reduce the amount of time to view the end result. My Fire tablet will stop the progression of the film but it places a symbol in the middle of it.
I hope you can consider this when you post future videos. An additional 60 seconds at the end would permit viewers to examine your work more thoroughly.
Thank you for posting!
Loved it! Thank you
Amazing!
Super impressive!!
Stunning, you're agreat painter, creative
Wow!
clever technique.
Wow I don't think I would have the patience but nice result.
You make this look too easy!
How do you pick out your reference photo? How did you edit it to show all the values and details ?
How did you draw the reference photo on the paper? Could you free hand draw it or did you graphite transfer draw it onto paper? I love it your a great artist and teacher I have so many questions about the before pouring process
