    Ishod's setup:
    -Thunder 147
    -8.3 Real deck
-two top bushings on front truck
-3 washers on inside of each wheel
    -spitfire wheels between 51-53mm
    -bearings, bushings and griptape unknown
Nine club, please ask more detailed questions abt said skaters setup, like what truck model, high, low, hollow, standard, forged, polished, team, deck concave, default bushings and wheel shape?

I've been riding this exact setup by chance (even the bushings!) for over 7 years. Out of necessity and being a kid I couldn't afford to buy new trucks so i stuck with the smaller ones from my setup when my feet were smaller. As my feet grew, I gradually increased deck size until I hit 8.25. AND I've always used top bushings, makes so much sense to me. I’m 6’4 and switched up to the big egg boards(9.5/9.75 symetrical egg) and my skating jumped 10 levels in skill. I was under the impression it would be difficult to flip tricks or get that board onto things, but All my flip tricks are perfect now, I have more control over my board and I feel steezy carvin round on a sick heroine graphic. I used to skate ‘trucks shaking while board sliding’ loose and now it’s a more standard normal loose. For me it wasn’t a qualitative difference, and if I leaned heavy I’d get wheelbite. I think because he’s not using soft bushings or anything, he gets the benefit of being able to lean heavy while turning, but not get wheelbite. This way he wouldn’t have to focus on precise ankle movements like Muhammad mentioned. This is my guess on the difference between the usual front foot turn and ishod’s

148’s can actually be perfect on an 8” or 8.125”, wheels will be flush with deck (depending on wheel width). Axle will hang out only a 16th of an inch on each side on an 8.125 and an 8th of an inch (.125) on each side on an 8”. Which IMO doesn’t matter. This same template matches 149”s on a 8.375 or 8.25 deck. And then when you match axle width to deck width your wheels actually sit less than flush with the deck. Which is fine. I have gone with all of these options with no issues. But like 148”s on an 8.125.

Just did some quick maths, and you talking about a 0.6% increase in size (its only 0.05 of an inch) so it's all in your head bro haha. 8.25 on 147's do feel really good though, I recommend those who are interested in this idea to try it out. You have big names like Ishod, Andrew Reynolds, Erik Ellington, etc. riding these "magic carpet" setups

@Juice man Do you put more washer on axle or normal?
Is it hard to ride 147 on 8.25 ?
Im planning to change from 8.0 to 8.25 cuz 8.0 to small.

@@dtwoi5877 Naa it's fine just ride it as is, It's just a preference thing, I find it has a few benefits with the leverage of having wider board than trucks I turn and pivot off my grinds better on ramps, it flips easier with the trucks being more centre of gravity rather than even width of the board, It locks into coping better IMO when I skated wider trucks they would slip around on the coping more and sometimes when I turn back in it would slip on the coping and I would hang up all these things are very small but when you've been skating for years you find out benefits to having different setups and I just like the small ones I get from a setup like that

@@juiceman7649 Thanks you man I gonna get the 147 on 8.25. I used to write 8.25 Truck on 8.1 deck, truck wider than the deck made me hard to scoop and do some tricks but, yeah Im gonna change to smaller truck with bigger board like Ishod mention that it eazy to scoop.
