Releases something to extinguish a fire in certain rooms like server rooms, usually waits for a couple seconds then releases it unless released manually with a pull station. I hope I got this right.
Does the bell signal pre-discharge shd the Sherlock 7002t mean discharge? What were the green buttons for that kept hitting when you walked by the shelves or whatever they are?
No delay between 2nd smoke detector activation and discharge, and no delay for manual discharge? That's dangerous... Seems like there's no pneumatic delay on the gas bottle
I am now looking back at your comment. There actually is a delay after the pre discharge starts. It’s 30 seconds. This specific system does not do any alternate coding to distinguish pre discharge from discharge. The thought was, if you hear either alarm get out immediately.
Do you ever get nervous whenever you do these tests the suppression will just activate? I’m assuming you’ve bypassed it and everything but I’d still be scared.
Honestly the thought is always in the back of my head. That’s why I triple check everything prior to testing anything. Some of these systems can mean life or death. Laziness isn’t worth my life.
@@a.r.aproductions1569 yeah I can imagine that thought is always in the back of your head, I’ve always found halon systems honestly kinda terrifying lol, whenever I do fire drills at my school the thought is always in the back of my head “we’re on test right? What if the station didn’t put us on test for the right time?” So I can’t imagine what it’s like with these systems
Nice, btw I like your field testing videos.
4:46 thats a rare pull station.
What’s a fire suppression?

@@soda_coir7595 sometimes the manual release pull stations are delayed but i don't recommend you pull them or any other alarm in a public building

It’s a really old system. It also may be what the local fire marshal wants.

Why aren’t the classics going off
They were apart of the main fire alarm system. They were disabled for the testing.
a.r.aproductions1569 will you be testing them too eventually?
@@Firealert101I will not be. It is don’t by a different company.
@@a.r.aproductions1569 interesting, are you like a private company?

Halon very good
well not for the environment it was globally outlawed because it damages the ozone layer which we all know
@@mircomamsecosirensnalarms well yes thats true, I was mainly saying that halon systems are cool because it’s mainly old alarms and pulls
