The Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip everywhere in the world while the S24+ (and the S24) comes with the Exynos 2400 in most markets and only gets the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the US, China, and Canada.
Thanks again Super Saf for the information on all three 3 versions of Samsung flagship phones. I'm definitely upgrading from the S21 Ultra to the S24 Ultra... can't wait for it.💯🙂
I was gonna pre order the ultra but you made a good point on 24 plus being more comfortable. I'm not sure how comfortable the boxed design of ultra will feel when put in my pocket.
The S24u is too big, too hard even for my large hands, I've been around the oversized 23u and I wouldn't own one. I traded my son's S9 for $200 , he gets my s20 FE
I used to have an ultra then went to a plus.. I really enjoyed the plus. Only reason I'm going with the ultra this time around is to be extra. I don't really need the ultra n the plus are good phones
When you buy an ultra your basically buying a bleeding edge phone hence it cost more. I think most people are gonna see the s24+ as the best value phone and I agree. I think the + Is and will always be thier best line up. The s24+ is good if you want new stuff but your okay with not having bleeding edge stuff. I noticed alot of yotubers are making a big deal of the sharp corners but I think there making more of a big deal then they should most people buy cases anyway so if yiu can afford an ultra and your worry is the sharp edges all you have to do is buy w case that rounds the edges.
Do keep in mind that since the screen is now flat on the S24U that people will use a glass screen protector but the only problem is that these tends not to do well with the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The only way around this was to use a UV glass screen protector which was the best way to put a glass screen protector on all the prior curved screens. You will probably now end up using a hybrid screen protector that isn't fully glass anymore to get around using the USFPS correctly. Also the edges of this S24U is so close to the borders that finding one that will not cut into the screen will be hard. If you get a full screen size projector then cases might not work well with it too. To me I do like the curved edges as it makes it nicer to use gestures on the sides. It's nice that it's flat now but that will bring it's only issues as well as I mentioned. To me I don't mind putting on a UV screen protector as long as I know my USFPS will work way better. I can't go back to using a plastic screen protector but that's just me I guess.
Thank You Samsung.❤❤❤ Finally, I can upgrade from my Note 8 (Which is still great even after 7 years) to the S24 Ultra, and this is going to be a gigantic upgrade. I've been waiting for Samsung to get rid of the curved display on the Ultra, because I use the S-pen a lot, and it's practically not great to use it on the edges. S-pen is something I can't imagine my life without. Anyone who uses it frequently, would know how difficult it is to not have it on their phone once they've used it even for a day. I've waited for almost 6 years for this day. Thank You @samsung🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I use the S-pen majorly for 2 things. firstly, I am into women's clothing business, and I use it for some quick basic design illustration/drawing for my clients, and I can access the feature right from the lock screen. Secondly, my most major use of the S-pen is for precise picture editing. The S-pen comes in very handy for a very tiny area selection, colour correction or spot healing. The S-pen has become an integral part of my daily phone usage. @@abhrajitnandy
Thanks for the review. The main reason I decided to go with the S24+ rather than the S24U is just the ergonomics. I had the S21U and the sharp corners are just so uncomfortable to hold, especially when watching a landscape video.
I ordered the S24 Ultra at first. I then realized i really do hate the sharp edges of my s23 Ultra and i love the feel in hand of the rounded edges and squares off sides. So I also ordered the S24 Plus. Ill just return the one i don't like
Good point tiny symmetric bezels really nice if you use your phone like a laptop. I need to see if the S24+ can fit in my pocket with a very small case .
If you're from S22 series or older then it's a good upgrade. It's really not a huge change from the S23 series other than the newly added Galaxy AI (which might not be free after 2025).
@@christianmbabazi9722absolutely right. The things what I have been doing with Google lens is what Samsung is saying AI. There are videos where translator is not working correctly. Why I'm trading in my s23 Ultra for the s24+(U.S.) - Form factor/lighter, leaner - 4,900mA battery(200mA increase from s23+) - 12 gb ram(same as s24 Ultra) - Free upgrade to 500 gb storage - s24+ display now 6.7" w/HDR 10+ - Awesome bezels on s24+ - Ultra model no longer has curved screen In the past, I've always purchased the Ultra, because of the Plus model's inferior hardware. This year, the only significant difference between them is the zoom camera and stylus. I can live with that. Sucks for global Exynos users, though.
s24 plus is where it's at this year IMO. Might have to give up my trusty Note 9 finally (work phone) definitely not getting rid of my Fold 4. But 1000$ for a Note 9 is a pretty smashing deal.
Again brilliant review Saf on all Samsung Galaxy S Series, shame they still look the same as S23 and S22 (Altra version) Again why couldn't Samsung make the Plus and Ultra have the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and be rival for iPhone Pros editions And the S24 and S24FE have Exynos and challenged iPhone 15 and Plus. And they should have improved charging and self Charging speed. It would be nice if SD Slot could come back please please Samsung. Saf 10 out of 10
Man Samsung really dropped the ball on the S24/S24+ this year. We esentially have what will probably be a worse Exynos chipset than than the SD Gen 2 on the european models, then we see absolutely 0 camera upgrades, exactly the same camera sensor array as on the S23/S23+ with 0 hardware changes at all. Apart from 100 mah more battery and a brighter display on the S24 and longer software support i'm struggling to find any difference at all to last years s23.
In the US, the S24 all use the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. All models also now have a peak brightness of 2600 nits and use the latest LTPO screen tech. The S24+ in specific has been upgraded to a QHD+ display and 12GBs of RAM. Out of the 3, the S24+ appears to have received the most meaningful upgrades.
Yeah I mean at least the US got SDGen 3 but otherwise all pretty minimal stuff upgrade wise which will be barely noticable in day to day real world use. No camera upgrades is pretty shocking.@@Link23809
@Link23809 exactly the s24+ has some solid improvements over the s23+ and im coming from the s22+ so a big jump for me. The s24 ultra is honestly the samsung phone lacking in upgrades compared to the s23 ultra.
There are no upgrades apart from the display and cpu and ram on S24+ over s23+, cameras are identical, literally the same. You wont even notice 2600 nits unless in very bright sunlight. 12Gb ram again unessesary and unoticable in day to day use. Even the cpu jump from sd gen 2 to sd gen 3 will not be noticable day to day. @@ranran2218

Yo Saf, I just wanted to say, you've nailed it with your video! I loved how you covered all the fantastic features of the Samsung S24 series - it was super informative and engaging. Keep up the great work bro!
Those of you staying away from the Exynos because of previous experience, remember Samsung skipped a year just to improve it. So why not give ot a try when you can?
I want the ultra but just can not decide about the ergonomics of it being square and now with a flat screeen! Wished I could decide and hope I don't regret if I get the plus. Kinda leaning toward it, I had a note one time and it was too boxy for me.
If you can afford the ultra go for the ultra. The best idea is to trade your phone yearly so you can get a discount. And this will be good because let's say you want to upgrade to the s25 ultra for the trade in you can get a s25 ultra foe the price of a 25. If your the person who does not care to trade it like most do then the + might be good. If your worri3d about the sharp edges all uou have to do is buy a case for it.
Yes. The 24+ might lure me into a larger phone from S21 for the battery/ extra RAM - wider screen rather than tall like a Snickers Bar ( lol ) .And 4900 MAH battery ! I hope the OS does not eat too much RAM and Battery !
Thanks Thomas - I am supposed to be a Pro and not care about looks but these are beautiful phones with the symmetric bezels ! Ultra has a really strong speaker hopefully 24+ does also. Just a review I heard but pretty reliable source. With AB tests on Audio

Nothing much here to make a change worthwhile from an older phone. S24 prices are ridiculously high as well. An Android user can save money without giving up much and go with a recent pixel. Save loads of cash and go with a refurbished S21 Utra 75% less expensive than the latest Samsung s 24 ultra or a 2022 Apple 14 Pro which is selling renewed at half the price of the S24 Ultra. In essence the S 24 line up looks good but the features are not ground breaking and the prices are crazy expensive.
i'm still struggling to see the point in upgrading from the S21 honestly, the only reason may be that it will be losing android upgrades after this year.
I'm on the 21. Thinking ultra or plus, likely going with the 24+. Bigger screen, brighter screen and higher resolution. Not sure if camera and battery will be a significant upgrade, but its all about the screen for me!
Okay just a weird question, how your affiliate link can save 610 dollars? The phone is 200 dollars due to that, it seems sketchy and can I convert that link to use in UK as well?
I ordered an s24Ultra in Violet but Idk how I feel about the Switch to the flat display. I had to upgrade out of my s22Ultra bc it has genuinely been a mess, have had it since a week before launch & it has had issue after issue. My s10+ was way more reliable but ik alot of the issues I have were fixed in the s23Ultra but my favorite feature of these phones are the curved display. Yea it makes screen protectors kinda annoying but it's such a nice unique premium feature & I feel like it is a huge L that the s24Ultra is gonna be losing it smh. It also helped to significantly reduce the side bezels but oh well had to do what I had to do unfortunately. I feel like everytime I upgrade I'm downgrading anymore
Flat displays are much more durable because the edge frames wrap completely around the edge . To have the glass stick above the plane of the edge is inviting cracks from minor drops.😢
I've always been Android. I do not like Apple for many of the reasons explained here and then some. I also have never been a fan of Apple initially. I've used several iPhones out of curiosity and I just never really enjoyed it. I will never own an iPhone. I love the freedom that Android allows.
Thanks for filling me in on the differences! I currently have the S21 FE 5G & I'm prety irritated with it for so many reasons. Question: Would purchasing from your below links save me $$$ than purchasing from the major cell phone companies?
I have the same phone. I have probably same concerns. I plan to not buy through t-mobile and instead buy through Samsung directly. I feel thats most cost effective. Also, the ultra has everything I like except the boxy shape, [I could slowly let it grow on me] but I'll likely get the s24+ because qhd is way nicer than 1080p
You don’t need S24+ when you have S23+ which is an EXCELLENT phone. I can never understand how some people change their phones each year. What’s the point? Differences aren’t so huge from one year to next. What I do understand is changing your phone after a few years. At that point, you will actually see bigger differences. Take myself for example: I still have a 7-year old iPhone X 🤣 It STILL works fine and does its job. My initial thoughts was the S24+ was a sure buy for me as im not a S Pen user and I dont really take photos. However, I checked the price and its not that much cheaper than the Ultra when you take into account of the discounts and trade in amount Samsung is offering right now. Hence.. I have decided to go for the Ultra for the first time.
The S24 and S24+'s flash have been moved down, near the second lens. By any chance, if you get one of these models, from far away, you will be mistaken for using the lower end budget A series phones. Keep this in mind if you're someone who wants people to know you are using a flagship phone
Samsung really used titanium but wasn’t able to even make the phone lighter! 😂 Props to Apple. Also Exynos again? The base S24 will surely flop in EU. S23 wins overall.
The previous iPhones were stainless steel, which is heavier than titanium. The previous samsungs had aluminium frames, which are lighter than titanium frames. It's actually impressive if you ask me that Samsung kept the weight pretty much the same as when they had an aluminium frame.

Alright sell me your s21 ultra 🙏
I was gonna pre order the ultra but you made a good point on 24 plus being more comfortable. I'm not sure how comfortable the boxed design of ultra will feel when put in my pocket.
The S24u is too big, too hard even for my large hands, I've been around the oversized 23u and I wouldn't own one. I traded my son's S9 for $200 , he gets my s20 FE
I used to have an ultra then went to a plus.. I really enjoyed the plus. Only reason I'm going with the ultra this time around is to be extra. I don't really need the ultra n the plus are good phones
Well if you put a case on it like most will, especially a rugged case you won't feel the sharp edges
What are your use cases with SPen? Some examples pl.
A flat screen will reduce the chance of the screen cracking when dropped. It will also enable the ability to apply a fully glass screen protector.
They all have flat screens and flat edges. The s24 and s24+ just have rounded corners.
the ultra has a flat display now, but the glass is still slightly curved where it meets the sides. and the 24/24+ corners are rounded; not the edges.
"finding one that will not cut into the screen will be hard. If you get a full screen size projector then cases might not work well with it too. "
I have many curved dispaly phones with glass protectors, it's all fine for years
Thanks for the review. The main reason I decided to go with the S24+ rather than the S24U is just the ergonomics. I had the S21U and the sharp corners are just so uncomfortable to hold, especially when watching a landscape video.
Brainwashed indeed
7 YRS OS update 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 insane ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I ordered the S24 Ultra at first. I then realized i really do hate the sharp edges of my s23 Ultra and i love the feel in hand of the rounded edges and squares off sides. So I also ordered the S24 Plus. Ill just return the one i don't like
I think the sharp edges on the s24 ultra is an easy fix. All you have to do is buy a case that rounds the edges.
Symmetrical bezels are huge for me, surprised no one is talking about that.
I have s10 Plus xD Preordered mine 24 Ultra 512gb
I hope that's not true because if that's the case then what's the point of buying a phone when it's main selling point might be a subscription fee
Na not worth the upgrade yet honestly the s22 ultra is still good maybe just wait for the most late this one just like maybe s26 ultra or 27 ultra

Exynos for S24(+) in Europe just sucks. Dealbreaker for me
you test it?
I'm in the U.S. we get the snapdragon, think I might be getting the S24+
I can see why thats an issue. Im not into social media stuff. I want storage and a great camera.
My dad has ordered the ultra whereas I've gone for the plus I like that it's almost an ultra . Thanks for the video.
I saved 200+ on top of my trade in value, and got😮 Samsung credit $100 which I used on a 2 year protection plan, altogether 1,200 including the production plan for the Ultra, using your link. Thanks bro.
Great vid. I was trying to decide between the 24+ and the ultra and this helped me choose the 24+ based on my use and the phone specs. Thanks!
In terms of explaining product differences, this is the best that I have seen on RUclips.

I either would try to save some money with the s24 or go all out on the s24 ultra but there’s very little chance I’d go for the plus
You may wait a few months till the price drops if savings is your priority 👍🏼
Actually thats the best one best price with the quad display . While the 23 22 and 21 all have 1080p screen after having quad hd screens since the galaxy 6 edge
Yeah plus is the best deal altogether. Ur missing out on the anti glare glass and a few things. That's it.
Samsung will start charging money for the AI feature after 2025, but no one seems to talk about this problem because Samsung told them not to. I see Apple following the same route as other Android phone makers later.
Plenty of people talk about it, plus your phone works perfectly fine without those gimmicks.
No one said they are gonna be charging for it either...

@Genesis12nivana lol thank you. Doesn't say it will be a limited trial. They are just working on how to make it work locally without having to use their servers for the work load
This video is the same video as yesterday. I was saying to myself, but I already heard all this yesterday in your first video about your hands on. Hope comparisons coming up tomorrow or so😊
Why I'm trading in my s23 Ultra for the s24+(U.S.)
- Form factor/lighter, leaner
- 4,900mA battery(200mA increase from s23+)
- 12 gb ram(same as s24 Ultra)
- Free upgrade to 500 gb storage
- s24+ display now 6.7" w/HDR 10+
- Awesome bezels on s24+
- Ultra model no longer has curved screen
In the past, I've always purchased the Ultra, because of the Plus model's inferior hardware. This year, the only significant difference between them is the zoom camera and stylus. I can live with that. Sucks for global Exynos users, though.
You don't what to use your money to do anymore fr
Thought the same thing, except gorilla glass is only on the ultra. It is said the speakers are better on the ultra.
i purchased the s24 ultra the other day in the titanium blue and im so excited for it to arrive tomarow.
How is the phone currently?

s24 plus is where it's at this year IMO. Might have to give up my trusty Note 9 finally (work phone) definitely not getting rid of my Fold 4. But 1000$ for a Note 9 is a pretty smashing deal.
Pls highlight performance and efficiency on the exynos ans Snapdragon variants soon!
I think that will decide the clear choices for the masses.
Again brilliant review Saf on all Samsung Galaxy S Series, shame they still look the same as S23 and S22 (Altra version)
Again why couldn't Samsung make the Plus and Ultra have the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and be rival for iPhone Pros editions
And the S24 and S24FE have Exynos and challenged iPhone 15 and Plus.
And they should have improved charging and self Charging speed.
It would be nice if SD Slot could come back please please Samsung.

Replace the battery 😑
I'm surprised it is still running.
@@dnegel9546 you can’t Samsung doesn’t allow it anymore stop being rude and let people get a new phone instead of a crappy old phone
I’ll be happy when they finally get rid of the square corners on the ultra. For this reason alone I’ll get the s24 plus.

They should have given the s24+ same camera set-up as the Ultra version. I only used the S-pen twice on my s21 Ultra. I'll stick to my S21 ultra again 🤦♂️
What would be the need for the Ultra then? Just the SPen and design? No one would buy it
Good review, I'm contemplating getting one, its been a while since I upgraded, the last phone I got was the S20. There's not really been anything worth upgrading too since.

S24 plus looks like a great option. A full compact package . Huge shame about exynos 2400.
Not that I mind cause I'm still using S21Ultra with exynos 2100
But if I am to upgrade and spend a 1K I'd rather have the full package with 8 gen 3.

2️⃣ Enhance pixel image
3️⃣ Object remover

Performance update, mainly. Your new phone should feel faster.
S24+ got the best upgrade from the pathetic releases before it.
Yes. The 24+ might lure me into a larger phone from S21 for the battery/ extra RAM - wider screen rather than tall like a Snickers Bar ( lol ) .And 4900 MAH battery ! I hope the OS does not eat too much RAM and Battery !

S24 prices are ridiculously high as well.
An Android user can save money without giving up much and go with a recent pixel.

Thanks for covering and mentioning UWB. It is really handy nowadays (i.e. digital key). I was searching for that distinction.
You get the majority of the new AI features when the new UI 6.1 drops, so there's no real need to upgrade.
I think on their site, it's just a handful of RECENT phones that'll get it
only the cloud based AI which lasts only till 2025
Flat displays are much more durable because the edge frames wrap completely around the edge . To have the glass stick above the plane of the edge is inviting cracks from minor drops.😢
