... you're the most ethical of all the Kiwi hunting channels I watch. Never boasting about how you 'bowled' a 'bastard' and always using the meat in a fine way to make great food or take as much home to freeze up. I really like to see you removing the carcasses of you kills from water sources, in this case a dead stage you did'nt shoot. What other Kiwi does that? I've never seen that. I'm confident before opening that I'm always going to see a video with good camera work, good cooking, and great outdoorsmanship that I can recommend to non hunters. You're an inspiration to all ethically minded outdoorsman out there. Thanks for another great watch!
Thanks so much Stu! Respectfully using as much meat as possible is what I'm all about, glad that comes across :). I think since I or anyone else is going to be drinking from these lovely mountain rivers I'd much prefer them to not have some manky rotting carcass in them 😆. Glad you're enjoying the vids, really appreciate your comment 😁
The mincer is hard core from before. The wooden chopping board is just practical and says “I know what I need, and it’s this” The colander however, is just class ! I applaud your unashamed individuality and humour. Thoroughly entertained. Thanks.
@@mattharris2018 I'm waiting to see you do the dishes in a stainless sink. Lol jokes, it makes me gasp when I see you bring the kitchen with you. I'd be like, weighing my spoons to find the lightest one.
Tasman you produce the best adventure, hunting, cooking content on RUclips imo. You're a great role model for young hunters, being so humble and level headed. Keep up the good work.
mate I was watching this last night thinking dude you need a sponsor to come on board with you ,your content is second to none...good honest no bs kiwi hunting, it awesome, but I was thinking who would mostly align with your style as a sponsor... after seeing the colander I seriously think its gotta be Mi Goreng noodles and BRISCOES doesn't it????😀😀😀😀😀 keep the amazing vids coming mate.. you bring a lot of joy and your hunting is ethical as..
Thanks mate! 🤣 Briscoes could set me up with so many ridiculous yet useful small cooking accessories, that's a great idea 😂. And I do love the indo mie noodles! So glad to hear you're enjoying the vids, and plenty more to come! Cheers 🤙

Well done for pulling the rotting stag out of the water, x2 for the Aussie guys comments, love ya view on the world, you appreciate the little things, bouncing stone lol!
More than happy to write a comment if it helps. What a fabulous fellow you are, Tasman. You take me places I will likely never see for myself with unmatched toughness, competence and above all joy and wonderment. Best wishes from Newcastle, Australia x

Love this episode you went ice skating got to see lot of animals fun in hunting your original one of a kind my favourite hunter out of all the channels I watch
You are a legend, the rawness of your videos is a refreshing view, none of this sponsorship bullshit. Just getting out there and doing it like the rest of us with out 20k worth of kit. Keep up the vids bro. Look forward to seeing the Fiordland trip.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate your comment 😁. I'm sure we'll take a sponsor or two some day, but absolute bare basics is all that's necessary for a good time in the hills 😁. Cheers mate, hopefully get the first part up in a few weeks 🤞
Awesome work bro! Loved the, get close up shots no matter the weather conditions.Heaaaaarty!!! You're a true adventurer bro who loves a bit of fine dining hahaha much respect bro!
the "I'm a fan of superlight packing" then immediately cutting to the wooden chopping board+ mincer you brought up the hill with you cracked me right up.
Hi there, as a hunter myself and also a Kiwi I do watch quite a few NZ hunting blogs. I've seen other posts of your but I have to admit that is the first I have watched all the way through. reason being I found it very interesting in many ways, probably because I liked your ethos. I will make an added effort to watch more of your posts! So, thank you for sharing.
As always, I had a grin from ear to ear the whole way through that video. From yanking that stag out of the river to dragging half your kitchen into those hills with ease, you never cease to amaze! Your an absolute machine! Also that footage you snuck in to get of the tahr was some of the best raw footage Ive seen yet. Thanks again for another beautiful adventure mate, I cant wait for the Fiordland trip to come out. All the best Tasman.
comment 2: that was brilliant fun. I'm glad you show the wee outtakes at the end, sure does add to the story. Once again, dont worry about not shooting an animal, the adventure is the thing, shooting some meat is a perk and we are happy to just follow the adventure. Gotta say tho, wild meat beats the store stuff every time!!
Glad you enjoy the bloopers 😂 that's awesome glad to hear it! Absolutely wild meat tastes the best, particularly after a bit of a mahi! Was a nice light backpack out this time tho 😆
I'm a big fan of your outdoor adventures tasman. They are a great watch. It's inspired me to get back into hunting and being out in the wilderness. So I thank you for that.
Thanks so much! That's awesome to hear 😁 it's my pleasure, a big part of my drive to make these videos is to hopefully inspire some to make the most of our incredible backyard, so I really appreciate your comment 😁. Take care!
Very humble with the way you hunt as always. I really enjoy your creativity with your meals, and food always tastes so much better when your out walking the hills all day. Epic! Such inspiring footage and ethics for young and old.
Thanks for watching! Glad you like the vids 😁. Yes after a hard days plod there's nothing that beats a good warm hearty meal, not sure if they'd taste any good at home aye 😂 cheers!
Hi Tasman, enjoyed watching this video and the others for that matter. Your photography and dialogue is improving all the time. It’s so good it’s like being there, so thanks for doing it so I can watch your adventures warm and cozy in bed. Keep it up !!! Scott
Hi Scott! Thanks very much 😁 I'm glad the quality is noticably improving :). Hahaha it's my pleasure, thanks for watching em! Hope you enjoy Antarctica 😁
As usual Tasman you embrace the total adventure and enjoyment you get from just being there. So entertaining, and I could almost feel the cold in some of those scenes. Just a thought, maybe a closed cell foam sleeping mat could be considered a worthwhile addition to your kit, bugger the wet sleeping bag caper!! But excellent again, and keep them coming.
Thanks Bill! Glad the enjoyment I get from just being in the great outdoors comes across 😁. That's a suggestion, in fiordland I did take a short piece for the torso section, but I couldn't find it for this trip 😂. I think the bag got fairly wet from condensation as well 🤔. Thanks for watching!
