Thank you for sharing this. This will give you a laugh, I'm just getting into screen printing. I have been doing decorating / signage for years. Yesterday i was trying to cure a white plastisol print with my heat gun in one hand and my temp gun in the other while standing next to my 16 x 20 heat press !!! It never crossed my mind you could use a heat press to cure the ink.
Your welcome! That is too funny 🤣. I can literally picture you doing that🤣. But it's okay, that's why we are here to learn from each other. Now you know for next time.
Hey man love the content. Can you do a video about the line you have to line up your logos etc on your board and what you use to keep the tee down. Thank you
Thanks for sharing your journey . I’ll be starting up my journey soon as well and this was one of the biggest questions I had and you helped me answer the question keep up the good work wish you the best your journey and thank you for your videos
That is awesome to hear! Just remember there's going to be bumps on the road but don't give up you will overcome them. I appreciate you for watching my video!
With the heat press it does not matter what mesh count you use because it will always flatten the ink and it will give you a softer feel. Now to answer your question? on the mesh count, The higher the mesh count it is the less ink will be deposited So yes you will get a softer feel. If you haven't seen part one here's the link And here you will see me cure plastisol ink using the flash, And I'm using a 156 mesh On this video. Also you can follow me on Instagram: @ateeprint and there you can go ahead and direct message me if you have any other questions? Thank you for watching!! ruclips.net/video/d3c2sMfcQLo/видео.html
As long as no ink contamination on the paper, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to do so. I’ve used one before so much that it literally gotten brittle and broken up. LOL That was a bit excessive on my part. But, I may have gotten over 100 pressings out of that one tired paper.. and to be honest, it was a Holliday and I had to get my order out the next day with not much store open, plus I didn’t want to go looking.
@@anthonygreaves4998 I have not used silicone paper before. Parchment, paper, leave a smooth finish. But I also have used Teflon paper, That one leaves like a waffle look.
Good morning m America. Hope am not disturbing....I rely wont to have a glucy look. With the parchment paper a did get indid a flat nice print look. If a get teflon sheet well it look more glucy. Does any teflon is good. Or there is a specific one.thanks.......Mike from Belgium
As long you don't see cracking on the ink you are good. But if you are going to be curing with the heat press, all you have to do is hit it a couple seconds with the heat gun and then do 10 to15 seconds on the heat press you should be good 👍
I have the Ricoma 16x20. It is a great heat press. This he pressed Auto opens, it has a digital pad, You can set up your own presets and have them ready for different jobs, And the plate slides out. I have a link to that heat press here it is 👇 shop.ricoma.com/?referral=angel-santos
Medium pressure, And with the heat gun you want to do it for a couple of seconds until the ink is dry a little bit, And then you cure it with the heat pressed.
Thank you for the link. It brought me straight to it for another video as usual amazing content
Thank you so much I'm glad it help you!!

Can you get a better results if you were to use a higher mesh count and also doing more than one pass?

We love curing with the heat press! Dope video fam
Thank you like always! 🙌
do you have to use a different piece of parchment pater for every shirt?
As long as no ink contamination on the paper, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to do so.

Do you use plastisol or water based ink? And if I use heat press to cure water based should I do 320 20 seconds or longer? Thanks!
Have you tried using silicone paper instead of the parchment paper and if so what was your results
@@anthonygreaves4998 I have not used silicone paper before. Parchment, paper, leave a smooth finish. But I also have used Teflon paper, That one leaves like a waffle look.
@ thank you for your response.
My apologies, silicone paper is also referred to as Teflon paper.
Amen brother
Can you heat press straight from a print with wet ink?

Yes I believe with the Teflon sheet you will get a more glossy look.
So which way do you prefer to cure? And why?
I prefer to cure it with the flash
I’m using Fn ink plastisol ink I’m drying it with heat Gun for 2 min 4-5 Inches away and ironing it 260 5 secs are they cured the way I’m doing them
As long you don't see cracking on the ink you are good.

Thank you so much 😊
Inbetween prints you used the heatgun. After second pass of ink did you heat it up before pressing it? OR you pressed it wet?
Again I appreciate you watching my videos! 🙌
Normally I used the flash, And what I do is a print flash and then cure. Not wet on wet.
What kind of heat press are you using?

What pressure are you using for the press? And how long are you pre cutting with the heat gun before pressing?
Medium pressure, And with the heat gun you want to do it for a couple of seconds until the ink is dry a little bit, And then you cure it with the heat pressed.
