    Outside of DTG, no other method can really compare to the classic screen print imo. I spent 3 grand getting set up with a heat press and supplies, with plans to start a high quality brand, only to find out the hard way that even the best transfers still feel and look cheap when compared to a screen print or DTG. Heat pressing is great for commercial use, when doing low quantity prints for businesses, local sports teams, etc. But if you want to start a brand and sell your clothes at a premium, do not rely on heat pressing alone. No one is trying to spend $40+ for a tshirt that looks like it was made by a crafty Etsy mom.

    Great video! I love both methods personally. Screen printing is way cheaper but more time consuming. Heat transfers from Supacolor are a great alternative for shorter runs and full color. One or two colors are the best for screen printing. That’s just from experience. Thanks for sharing!

      It is easy and nice but when it comes to doing a large order you can’t beat a screen print especially when it comes to low color jobs. If your weeding vinyl for each shirt then that’s just wasting up your time. If your doing dtf prints then yeah it’s easy but it doesn’t have the same feel as a screen print would cause a heat press will always just feel like a sticker on the shirt rather then a screen print which is actual ink. They both are great and heat press is a tool in the tool belt at the end of the day

    I have RVCA Shirts that are screen printed that are going on 15 years now and still holding strong. A screen printed transfer is 10 times better than a regular screen print. It’s super soft, and it doesn’t feel very rough and grainy like traditional screen print. So I would recommend screen printed transfers any day.

    • @baavproductions
      @baavproductions  Год назад +1

      We’ll screen prints aren’t as rough as you say they are. Screen printing is by far the best way to get garments printed. At the end of the day a screen print transfer is no different than a dtf or any other transfer. It’s not directly being printed on the shirt whereas, screen printing is directing printing on the fabric. Transfers are all held up with adhesives but again it all depends on your needs
