I sure am ,I am 64 and this music so up lifting ,fantastic, off to the liberal club to play snooker with my friends from school, sadly they will not be playing this wonder for music lol
To understand how big this show was in 1994 I have some little information for you; the crowd was filled by 56 000 people, it was broadcasted over 100 countries with over a BILLION veiwers and in the audience we had celebrities like George H.W Bush and his wife, Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger, David Hasslehoff, Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra
Why your comment has no replies is beyond me. This concert signified a somewhat sane world before the forces of communism, liberalism joined together in their anti-European hatred aimed at destruction.
Yup! I have seen this countless times. I still get goosebumps, and that’s a good thing! Just like the first time on that 1994 World Cup in the USA! Bravo Carreras, Domingo and Pavarotti! Thank you for the Joy!
2:14 when Pavarotti is singing, the other tenors are like, "He sounds really good." So they were like, "Lets sing together to see how strong we are." and then when they did Pavarotti started smiling. But they all are really good! I love when Pavarotti smiles! Rest in peace Pavarotti. Thank you for giving me so many likes! (please don't take this in an offensive way, I respect the 3 tenors)
Don't agree. Domingo to me, has by far the most powerfull voice of the 3. Being a Baritone Tenor, he has the widest voice range of the three and hits those high C5s like it's nothing- Pavarotti was nicknamed the "King of Cs" so it's no easy feat hitting those notes easily in front of the King himself and bring important Bass and depth into the piece, something the other two basic Tenors don't since Tenors, by nature, don't bring bass into the piece. That being said, I doubt anyone of these feels superior to the others.. this kind of talent makes anyone humble in the presence of it- even if that person too has that talent....my opinion, of course.
This is the first thing I heard waking up today at the hospital here in Italy and the day the doctor said that i'm *_COVID-19 free now._* I survived my 3 week battle against this virus. I immediately search for this song because I feel like it was my victory song.
@@crissipooh He chewed gum because his jaw started to lock up later in his life. This kind of gum-chewing during performances were probably done by Pavarotti not only because he was talented enough to sing with the gum, but also because orchestras were dying to perform with him and he was talented enough to have gum on stage.
Everyone’s talking about The Great Three’s. But just have a look on their backround and all the happy faces the musicians. Noone know their names but they are happy and appreciate to hear and be part of this masterpiece. The highest level of joy
The way they talk amongst themselves while waiting for their parts and the way they look at each other as they perform makes me smile for some reason 🥹
2:15 the other guy looked at his partner. “This is impossible we can’t beat alone.” “You’re right. We can’t beat him alone” 2:46 they 2v1 Pavarotti and he loves it.
No, Carreras is mugging "what a ham!" to Domingo about Pavarotti and they decide to outdo him with five instead of four. It looks spontaneous but is part of a smart, fantastic performance.
My grandfather is going to hospice and I’m listening to this song. He is Italian through and through, when I was little he would play opera music. I will miss him so very much, I am blessed to have had him so long. He was like a second dad to me, I got see him this past Thursday and talk to him( it was the last time he was awake, he has since been sleeping since then. On Thursday he asked me “ If I was okay and happy” I said “yes and told him thank you for being a wonderful nonno and a second dad to me I love you”. This song is giving me great comfort 😢 He passed away last night 3/24/23 I will miss him so very much. He truly was wonderful.
They had not planned this last song of the concert. They suddenly realised they needed an encore and the director decided this song that everybody knows.
2:08 - the look on the face of the other two when Pavarotti hits the long, high note....and the 'look' Pavarotti gives at 2:54 when they try to, almost, hit the same height is why I adore this performance
@@Lokisdottir1964, yes! I also realized about that male with a mustache violinist. He is enjoying the duel amongst these three guys. He is more than happy and living the moment.

Once over several decades ago I saw all 3 singing spontaneously outside in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. It was so magical; the whole park, everyone, ppl on foot, roller blade, even in the cars, all just stopped whatever they were doing & listened in complete rapture. So beautiful! There's no effort showing on his face, he looks away from the mic and audience, and I think he's chewing gum. It just looks so easy for him! The guys making fun of how he upstages them, is great, too!😂

People like this are only born once, a blessing to those who listened to them live...and to us who can still enjoy this musical bliss today. The greatest of all time!
I still get goosebumps from Pavarotti's voice (he was always my favourite) but the friendly competition and evident camaraderie between the 3 tenors are also a big plus for this performance :)
This is absolutely the most brilliant, amazing, and talented singers ever existed! Each one of them are spectacular on their own but...When they sing together, it's the most phenomenal thing to ever endure! Just who would not love to listen to the greatest, pleasant sounds, like this? Thanks a million for making this video possible! Peter.
BUT.... They are STILL "making them" ..... Have you not listened to IL Volo sing??? And many others.... The Three Tenors we're stupendous to get her.... But there Will be more, thankfully....
Me too. I just must smile no matter the shit I´m in. They are so awesome. I love them separately but together that´s a next level. The chemistry makes it an absolute joy.
Growing up Pavarotti was someone who my granny listened to I kind of assumed he was like a boring old fart, I couldn't be more wrong....after watching a good few videos of him there's a real kind of boyish charm to him like a happy mischief.... Its great
Simplesmente perfeito.
I may be of the younger generation who's born in 1989 but that isn't going to stop me from appreciating good ol' classic art. If my late paternal Eurasian grandfather who was into classical music, Beijing and western opera took me to watch these 3 perform... I'd be very much obliged.❤

Jose: acting and emotion
Domingo: strength and emotion
he needs his strength these days
Itachi music Official Jose and Domingo are my favourite 🙏🏾✌🏾🙌🏾❤️
They mostly are about emotion, this is what matters
And nice teeth too.
Who are Jose and Domingo. Can you please tell me?
The violinists in the orchestra is absolutely loving it
Once over several decades ago I saw all 3 singing spontaneously outside in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. It was so magical; the whole park, everyone, ppl on foot, roller blade, even in the cars, all just stopped whatever they were doing & listened in complete rapture. So beautiful! Bravo for posting this video.
Wow! Wish I was there 🙄 That will be one of the most amazing memories in my life.
Lyrics/letra⭐
Che bella cosa na jurnata 'e Sole
N'aria serena doppo na tempesta
Pe' ll'aria fresca pare gia' na festa
Che bella cosa na jurnata 'e Sole
Ma n'atu Sole cchiu' bello, oje ne'
'O Sole mio sta 'nfronte a te
O Sole, 'o Sole mio
Me vene quase 'na malincunia
Sotto 'a finestra toia restarria
O Sole, 'o Sole mio
Sta 'nfronte a te, sta 'nfronte a te
Domingo and Carreras are awesome, but Pavarotti was just... beyond
They are perfect
He sings so effortlessly. It's really impressive.
Pavarotti doesn't sing. He opens his mouth and lets the music escape from his soul
Amen.
Gracias a Dios!
👍👍👍👍
Of course, Domingo and Carreras are beyond spectacular. But Pavarotti was not an opera singer -- he was an antennae for us to hear the sound of God's voice.
❤❤❤❤❤
Well said.
Amén 🙏
Thinking of my dad who passed today, he loved these 3 and their fabulous voices

I'm very sorry for your loss
2023, legend will never fade. I will listen again everytime someone like my comment
I remember watching this at home. Mom was overwhelmed with tears. Now that I am older I understand. Music with so many emotions
Awesome song!!! Still listening to it in 2021, I can't understand as well why some people find boring the classical music. Greetings from Greece to Italy!!! 🇬🇷❤️🇮🇹
italy and spain, jose and placido are spanish
Everyone likes different things
Listen to what you want instead of trying to covert others
Una Faccia, una Razza! :)
I could not stop smiling through the entire performance. Even my chihuahua was happy. This is MUSIC. And it was fun. thanks for sharing this.
Chihuahua?
@@tonyxu3287 YEP my chihuahua loves Pavarotti
God bless these 3 men who came together and gave to all the mankind this timeless masterpiece!
My wife says, you can't beat these three tenors. World class ! Sleep well, that wonderful man, who is no longer with us !
2:56 i love the joy expression of the violinist on the back
Well it's the gig of a lifetime and they're all killing it. Great fun.
Bloody loving it isn't he!
Good spot, pleased you pointed him out. Has added yet another reason to love this video.
This guy life was made
Awesome !!
I’m a BIG Domingo fan but I’ve gotta admit this song belongs to Pavarotti
There's no effort showing on his face, he looks away from the mic and audience, and I think he's chewing gum. It just looks so easy for him! The guys making fun of how he upstages them, is great, too!😂
@@timothygraham4304 it's actually dried apples not gum.
Pavarotti is probably the only Opera singer I like
Oh I love all three so so much...I could die happily listening to them
@@juanhoffmann4096 me too! His smile melts my heart.
Miss Pavarotti being on this planet.
We were blessed to have had the option to hear these 3 artists together -
Fabulous - every time I listen.

They had such chemistry. Wonderful performers.
Thank god for the internet. This will survive eternity

2022, otra vez, XD.

Peter.
i think enrico caruso its the greatest but this 3 tenors, are legend
Ultimate opera singers.
Pete Totaro The Rat Pack of opera, am I right?
Doesn't endure mean like suffer or suffer through ?
Maybe the wrong word
Pete Totaro what are their names
30 years later, I am still smiling and crying.
A gift from heaven...
Effortless, pure class, sheer talent. These 3 legends made magic that night. They don’t make them like that anymore. What a time to be alive. Brava.
BUT.... They are STILL "making them" ..... Have you not listened to IL Volo sing??? And many others.... The Three Tenors we're stupendous to get her.... But there Will be more, thankfully....

2:08 Luciano's face was like "watch how THE master does it" 👏👏👏👏
Hahaha 100% true
They’re both great but he’s just the best
And Placido and Jose are like "oh, God. Here he goes again. LMAO.
I watch this whenever I need something to lift my spirits. It's magical.
Its great
mike devaney áázñáv9urlab9eme
You should hear him speak. His speaking voice has such a humble and calm Italian tone from which you would NEVER expect such a legendary voice
Simplesmente perfeito.
They look like they're just having so much fun! This is spectacular.
I may be of the younger generation who's born in 1989 but that isn't going to stop me from appreciating good ol' classic art.
If my late paternal Eurasian grandfather who was into classical music, Beijing and western opera took me to watch these 3 perform... I'd be very much obliged.❤
Dios mio!
