Thank you! I watched another video first, but it didn't really help me. Yours was definitely more helpful and I have now installed the new battery and tested it. Thank you, again. My husband is out of town and the chirps were driving me crazy! Luckily he had 2 batteries in the designated battery drawer. Whew!!!
Thank you for explaining all the parts of my hard wired smoke detector, their purpose and exactly how to switch out the battery. I couldn’t get the battery out and thought there was a trick, but I was the problem!! Much better than other RUclips demos.
Seriously these things should have a disable buttton for when they start beeping in the middle of the night 😩😩😩 no one has any business being on a ladder half asleep that time of night
It worked perfectly for me. I had to go out at 2 am to get a replacement battery. I didn't realize until I got home that the terminals looked different. But the ones in the demo were different too. So I didn't have the problem I thought I had...How to get it to fit etc. Simple.Thanks
What if I took out the old battery just to check the type and then put it back in and it chirped once. Now I got a new battery and replaced the old one however I did not get the same one chirp noise to say it registered the new battery. Is this normal?
Could you tell me if this kind of alarm does not have wire connection and it just uses the back up 9 volt battery, then how long will the 9 volt back up battery last for this kind of alarm still working? Thanks for your help.
These things are hell and should be banned. It’s sufficient to beep ONCE at regular hours ahead of telling me that battery needs to he replaced and not at 3am in the morning with the most annoying chirp ever. China trash.

power off the supply of current to the device . i found out that in my home and that way this goddam device stopped beeping
Amazing how these these are programmed to only start chirping in the middle of the night...ha ha ha
