    Mine looks exactly the same as yours! It had a bit dry ones when i brought it home i thought nothing i cant handle but after pruning it, it keeps getting them. The soil it comes with kind of looks weird. Is it best to just still keep it in that soil or give it new soil? It raises dry on the sides around the pot... Last time i did repot though i almost killed one and i actually did kill the other lol. This my 3rd i dnt want it to die lol

      If you think the soil is bad then only repot. It's better to repot in the spring. Also make sure you are giving enough water. This is an 8 inch pot. I give 1 1/2 cups water weekly. :)

    I have a curly spiderplant that started as a tiny pup.. It was very happy and grew like crazy. Now in a 6 inch pot. For these 3 years it was about 8 feet from a huge southern window. I tried it out in an eastern window hanging planter. All the leaves lost their curl and plant seemed to splay outward. I put it back in the original spot 8 feet from southern window. It's clearly happier, more upright again but leaves never regained their curl. Any way to get that cool curl back?

      Literally neglect. Skip a week watering and don't water as much. It is just in a bit of shock. It should snap back. When people talk about neglecting their plants 🪴 sometimes there is truth in it. I do occasionally and not on purpose and my snake plant bloomed. Plants have a way of surviving.

    Hello! I have a quick question (first time plant mom) I just recently got a curly spider and it came in a plastic nursery type “pot”. My curly is super small… I repotted it in a 4in pot and have it hanging in a window… do you think 4in pot is too small? Should of of gone up a little bigger?

      Spider plants like to be root bound. It should be fine unless it's root bound too much. :)

    I’ve got one of these but I think I’ve been watering it too much. It’s living but not thriving . I’ve had it outside but in the shade. Should I put it in sunlight?

    • @DonnaJoshi

      Be careful it may get scortched in direct sunlight. A short time is ok but not long. Maybe to allow it to dry a bit if it's soggy. Just keep your plant moist not soggy. Try watering in the future by using apprx 1 cup water for 6-8 inch pot. Check after a couple days to see if it needs water. This will help you figure out how much you will need. I think apprx 1 1/2 cups may be what you need for the week. Hope this helps. :)

      I keep it in a South window and give 2 cups of water a week. Liquid Plant food every other week. It has babies, also! :)

    Is that brown spot in the middle of the leaf from too much sun? I have a couple of spots on my plant that look similar.

    • @DonnaJoshi
      @DonnaJoshi  4 года назад +1

      My plant had these when I bought it. It can be from over watering and not enough drainage. :)

      Donna Joshi I have a moisture meter and the Plants app now, so with all this help, I hope I can save it. I did use tap water a couple of times before I knew better.

      @@UnderNaps I'm guessing it depends where one lives. 6 mths ago I was lured to buy a cute pair Bonnie curly spiders and they have done very well. I only use tap water, sure I do have the odd tip that browns but like Donna I constantly trim my plants of dead debris and browning. Spider plants are so good in cleansing your house air.

    I wanted a plant to purify my place so I looked up and I saw curly Bonnie well my name is Bonnie I have very curly hair so I thought well this one literally has my name on it I looked it they were very pricey to have them mail to you I'm curious how much you paid for yours but I think I paid like $17 and what I got was just a small 4-in pot I realized it was in the mailbox I don't know why I thought it was going to be mailed to my door but we got it out she already looks nice but really small and so yeah I don't like the idea of having to repot That's always makes me scared to repot it I have it's in a 4-in maybe you say I have to go up just to 6-in I wonder if it's eventually going to have to be in a hanging plant So I'm always scared about repotting but so far so good I gave her some water she's just so small. I think I only saw one or two that were 6 in maybe I should have got a 6 in cuz then I'd wouldn't have to replant so soon I'm assuming within a month I may have to replant.

    • @DonnaJoshi

      I wouldn't repot until necessary. They like to be slightly rootbound. This helps them reproduce. Only repot once every year or 2.

      I didn't know what to think because it's already in a small part and if I could see the little roots coming down the bottom?
