    I rescued a Curly Spider Plant from the clearance at Lowe's and I am having a hard time keeping her alive. I've had her about 6 months and I haven't seen any growth from her. I am hoping Spring will turn her around...🤗🤗🤗🌹🏵💮🌺🦋🦋🦋 LUV SPIDER PLANTS...💖💝💞💘❣

      Oh no... They like bright light. I grow mine in a west window and I don't water her until she is completely dry. Did you repot her after you got her?✌💖

    • @charlenekalectaca218
      @charlenekalectaca218 3 года назад

      @@tropicalplantmomma Yes, I repotted her. I am thinking I may need to place her in water to re-establish her roots. I have her in a 4 inch clay pot. I let her dry out in between waterings. She is still slowly loosing one leaf after another. She was already on pretty bad shape when I got her. I won't give up, tho...🤗🤗🤗😍😎

      @@charlenekalectaca218 that may be a good idea to try it. I'm wondering tonif she could have some of that mesh on her roots restricting her growth. Well I hope she pulls through.✌💖

    I just bought 2 of these yesterday at Lowe’s. My new plants were purchased in terrible condition (lots of brown tips, broken leaves, tangled & so very dry!) I bought my 2 small “Bonnie’s’” for $12. Normally, I would make a YT video for my page and share; however I was in rescue plant mode and immediately went to helping them when I got em home; which didn’t allow time for me to make a short video.
    Your care video was very helpful and your background bird sounds are lovely.
    Thank you. 🙂

      They should bounce back nicely. Spider plants are pretty tough. They may die back a little but as long as you get them in the correct light and water them properly They will take back off. It's always a shame to see plants like that in the stores!

      @@tropicalplantmomma Well mine is also in a west window and grow light. I will cut back more on her watering, She is slightly more curled than my other straight spiders. Some of her leaves do have bit of a twist to them but only very slight.

    I have 4 curly spiders with a bunch of babies but the babies are taking a long time to grow a lot longer than the regular spider babies do

    • @tropicalplantmomma
      @tropicalplantmomma  Год назад +1

      I have noticed the same with mine. Maybe this is just normal for this plant 🌿 because the babies are still healthy and propagate easily like the reg ones do.

    She looks very happy. Is there any difference in care between the variagated and non variagated spider plants? The variagated ones I had always dried up. 😬There's a happy green one here getting light from my bright fish bowl light. 🌴

    I got a spider plant from someone who had over watered it severely. The leaves all got the dark streaks and after about 2 months- there is not a single leaf...the roots are looking good though- I repotted it last week, but I still do not see any new growth at this point. 🤞🤷🏻‍♀️

    Hello I’ve got the same one as you have now by the plant but it wasn’t doing good in a small pot I change it I took it out but there is root coming and there is in above of the roots there’s like it like it balloons all over like it thick roots what is if you don’t have it in your plant tell me about it I Kat some roads and I took the soil off and I put a new song tell me if I did something wrong thank you

    • @tropicalplantmomma
      @tropicalplantmomma  2 года назад +2

      Those large thick roots are normal. All spider plants have them. Those are the bigger roots that store water for the plant. Thats why it can go so long without water

    I was looking for one first time I think ordering a plant and it came in a box in the mail! I wanted one to purify the air. This one had my name on it as my name is Bonnie and I have curly hair. But the one I got in the box just now is a little 4-in pot already looking nice I feel bad she was out there all dry so I watered her top and bottom but I'm very nervous about replanting her as I realized I'm going to have to do maybe not right away maybe I have a couple weeks I always check the bottom of a little plant like that if you start seeing the roots coming out a lot then that's when it's time? I don't have a lot of plants.
