If they do, I'd like to see Rick do a video on he reassessment of food sources. especially of the ones he has otherwise completely ignored. because even if cactus is the "best," I never see a comparison to the "most efficient" layup of a food source. as though he barely investigates a thing before holding it's values against it. in some cases I've actually improved my gameplay by spiting his advice even. like a marble suit being better in fringe cases than a football helmet (where kiting is actually worse than tanking) and ignoring how easy dropping backpacks is.

Rick what is your opinion on DST roasted potato as wolfgang?It gives 40 hunger and 20 health.I know that farms are pretty hard to manage but if u just plant them with tomatoes you only need to tend and water them pretty much.Its very easy to mass farms,the only problem is that they spoils kinda fast but you can just kill beequeen for bundles or in winters feast there is the gift wrap.I started using potatoes instead of pierogi since I can just mass farm them in an autumn,bundle them then I have food/healing for probably next autumn or a different season in witch they both grow
first off the 2.6% of getting each seed to be a potato seed is pretty low and can lead to wasting time trying to get the seed, second perogi heal 40 health so if you needed a heal it would take half the time to get back into combat plus the resources to get the perogi are very easy to get costing 2 monster meat(one turned into an egg) one cactus and one of whatever you can throw in there, just in the end you should be able to farm a bunch of perogi reliably before you would even get 1 potato
@@flaming3624 First off, the percentage chance of getting a potato seed doesn't mean anything, the general and most effective way of starting up farms in to slowly grab seeds while going about you business, and then making a small farm plot, filling it with seeds and leaving them grow. You get at least 10 potatoes from a single round of random planting, so 'wasting time hoping to get a potato seed' isn't gonna happen. That's just a problem from the old system. Second, while pierogi is a good healing source early game, you can amass hundreds of potatoes in a few days, whereas getting that much meat and vegetables takes the same amount of time and is more dangerous, time consuming (you spend less than 10 seconds of time tending to crops each growth stage, so you can easy farm pierogi in your spare time if you want), and generally just more annoying. And that's not even talking about the stacks of Dragonfruit you can _passively_ accumulate in a single Spring.

Bunnymen are overkill in solo and duo even wigfrid doesn't need it I prefer pig farms renewable pigskin. I just slap 2 on sinkholes to farm batwings, and 8 in a pen with a spider nest for a automatic silk farm.
So klei's plan to fix something that made farms obsolete is to make it worthless Wow 10/10 game design nothing dumb about that Let not even to the part where it's insanely unrealistic I mean if I killed a bunny in real life, it's meat would always be there on its dead carcass Well in dst it just vanishes 63.5% of the time coz we need farms to be viable so who cares about realism

i still dont see the problem they are worse than before, but they are still better than pigs for example you had the shitty farm sistem replaced with a simple(and great if you just plant the things in the correct combos) new one that makes them just as viable as something like say a berry farm when it comes to food, and it can even be a nice addition for healing if you make the giant dragonfruit combos you keep being butthurt about a single nerf, when you could be glad that we have been getting some actual use for the sea content, a new caves biome, a partial rework for wicker and wormwood, the oh so needed removal of disease, and many more quality of life changes if they really wanted to make all other foods useless, they could have made bunnymen spawn every 3 days just like pigs made cactus no longer grow on winter increased the penalty for eating lichen, or decrease the ammounts of it in the caves made berries take longer to grow made rock fruit take longer to grow now all of that would have been bad game desing even rick, who has a custom of shitting on the game, farms, and everything else is like "eh, this update was fine" that says a lot about you shitting on the game because of a nerf to one food source

When I saw your 100 days video, i thought "How am i gonna beat Dragonfly in 20 days and Beequeen in 35 or even rushing the ruins. tomatoes although they rot SUPER fast also give 20 hp when cooked.
