Long shot - although monster souls are typically weaker than human souls, that doesnt mean humans are stronger by default, this is clear during Spamton Neo in the Snowgrave route. Spamton Neo can survive snowgrave [Assuming 1hp of human soul = 1hp of monster soul]3 times, and since snowgrave deals about 1.8k dmg, it would be more than enough to kill Kris. Perhaps if awoken, Spamton Neo would be able to reactivate the fountain since he would be theoretically powerful enough.
