Wood dolls were common back in the day. Wax them with gas welding Flux wax, it helps them last a lot longer.

This is really using your kidney! I have almost all I need here to make that thingy without spending a bunch. I was going to make one out of a handheld pneumatic hammer, but your idea is better! Thank You! JD

I had the same idea with the hammer but didn't see how a dolly would fit into the nail head and was reluctant to tear apart a new tool only to make more doodads for the junk drawer 😅

That's a great idea. A friend of mine back in the early ninety's had one using a valve from a trucks engine for the hammer. He used it to hydro form two stroke exhausts.

This is exactly how I made my plenishing hammer except mine is mounted in a frame like a traditional hammer. After seeing this I’m going to take it out of the frame and try it out.

It works pretty well. I mean honestly they both have great uses. It’s just a matter of accessibility. I bought the material to make a frame for mine. I just haven’t got around to it yet.

You've probably invented the best use for that tool, I've never wanted one before but now that I know it will come apart like that it'll be a great investment

HI. YOU CAN GET AN AIR SCRAPER KIT FOR ABOUT $39 BUCKS THAT HAS THE BLADES BOLT IN AND MOUNTED ON ABOUT WHAT LOOKS LIKE ABOUT A 3/16ths FLAT PLATE. YOU COULD WELD YOUR FLAT PAD ONTO ONE OF THOSE AND IT COULDN'T FALL OFF WHEN YOU LIFT IT UP. THE TOP PART LOOKS THE SAME. JUST A SUGGESTION.
