Needle scaler is for rust removal. Great reperpousing, cool idea.
Yer,the clues in the name,or let's Google it🙄
Wood dolls were common back in the day. Wax them with gas welding Flux wax, it helps them last a lot longer.
Good idea
Ah --- You got a couple of good ideas there ----- Those planishing hammers aren't cheap --- Thanks for Sharing --- Rodney
Ingenuity, out of desperation, I guess
In the Navy we called them needle guns. For chipping paint
Yes.
This is really using your kidney! I have almost all I need here to make that thingy without spending a bunch. I was going to make one out of a handheld pneumatic hammer, but your idea is better! Thank You! JD
Sometimes the voices talk to me
I had the same idea with the hammer but didn't see how a dolly would fit into the nail head and was reluctant to tear apart a new tool only to make more doodads for the junk drawer 😅
That's a great idea. A friend of mine back in the early ninety's had one using a valve from a trucks engine for the hammer. He used it to hydro form two stroke exhausts.
That’s pretty a pretty smart idea
This is exactly how I made my plenishing hammer except mine is mounted in a frame like a traditional hammer. After seeing this I’m going to take it out of the frame and try it out.
It works pretty well. I mean honestly they both have great uses. It’s just a matter of accessibility. I bought the material to make a frame for mine. I just haven’t got around to it yet.
Guess who would have thought that would have come apart like that and be able to make that handy tool thanks for the idea Great job
Thank you
You've probably invented the best use for that tool, I've never wanted one before but now that I know it will come apart like that it'll be a great investment
Thanks 👍
FN A ... on my list for this weekend !!
Awesome tips.... I'll try building one myself now.
So did you build one?
@@Theoldironworkshop yep , sure did, up and running. Now on to making other dies.
That is an awesome idea. I have some roof damage and this could work. Keep up on getting that project done
That's the plan!
Getting ready to cut up a 40 LaSalle radical custom.
cool idea!!!thanks for sharing i have just a spare needler scaler to convert!!!
Go for it!
We used needle guns in the navy for stripping paint…
Would you mind sharing what brand your scaler is? They are not all the same, so I want one that I know will work. Much thanks.
It’s just a no name mini descaler.
HI. YOU CAN GET AN AIR SCRAPER KIT FOR ABOUT $39 BUCKS THAT HAS THE BLADES BOLT IN AND MOUNTED ON ABOUT WHAT LOOKS LIKE ABOUT A 3/16ths FLAT PLATE. YOU COULD WELD YOUR FLAT PAD ONTO ONE OF THOSE AND IT COULDN'T FALL OFF WHEN YOU LIFT IT UP. THE TOP PART LOOKS THE SAME. JUST A SUGGESTION.
Hmm I’m going to look for one
Thanks, I’ve been needing this tool. I’m going to make one today!
You know it is so simple I don’t know why this hasn’t been around much much longer.
Great content on your videos. How big of a compressor do you need to run your shop?
A 30 year old 6hp 50 gal. Need to upgrade
If I had only known and no injury to my rotator cuff TY 4sharing
Yeah, I feel ya both of mine are torn
Why did you repeat yourself??
Crappy editing I’m guessing
What brand name needle scraper did you use?
8MILELAKE Compact Air Needle... www.amazon.com/dp/B07KRRZZHY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Also its for removing weld scale form stick welding
I haven’t done stick welding in probably 30 years
That is cool. I’ll be making one
