ruclips.net/video/t2YO58r2t5g/видео.html Lots of people have asked about my shipping supplies, i created a whole video on it including the links and dimensions of every item i buy!
I started a little reselling in 2016 when Evolutions came out as a side hobby. Really enjoyed it, obviously made quite a bit selling most of my Evolutions, Hidden Fates, Shining Legends, and various graded Promos, Tag Team cards etc during the pandemic during 2020-2021 and as good as the money was during those 2 years, I miss the consistency we saw from 2016-2019 and have been effectively out of the market from 2022 until today. Prices crashing wildly hard on most items is a great sign to me because I believe we're on our way back to 2019ish price levels. Just ready to feel like cards and sealed items are priced correctly again so we have predictable, low but healthy prices again.
this is great. well done with the editing and voiceovers. very funny that you posted this a day after saying its not your style and in this video you're watching jluv lol. you're the man
We are alike. I'm kinda addicted to getting that Your Item Sold notif even if the card is cheap. Also the post office is only 15 wall from my house and I always walk
I really admire your work. Unfortunately, I never got cards as a child and had to wait until I got my first salary and I really jumped on it. I've even made my first sales now and really enjoyed the whole process. Let's see how far I can make it
Hey Steve, absolutely loved this vlog style day in the life of Steve. Love love love all of your cats. That Jam donut looks amazing. Keep up the great work and content!
I love that you ship as soon as possible! I ordered from 3 different sellers on cardmarket and 2 from ebay 8 days ago and only today i got the email that it was shipped like wow seriously they took that long to ship 2 freaking blisters?!
Glad you're happy selling on ebay mate, I was a seller of general items for over 7 years and hated it for about 5 of them but I was trapped until I got myself sorted 🤣
Wow I’ve watched two videos and you got a new subscriber! Love your attitude and approach to the hobby and your business! Looking forward to binging the rest of your content!
Steve, been watching you for a while now. This video hands down has to be one of your best. Not only did you come into this space with all the knowledge and enthusiasm to help others, but you're getting better everyday! Good stuff!
i love these kind of videos! I also love the variety in your channel, very informative, when you have the chance make more of these! they're just a great, easy watch!
wow this video popped up on my feed as I am considering the start of my own little pop up shop. Def liked the video and will appreciate it as a stepping stone!
As a new seller on eBay I enjoy this content more than most probably.margins are awful right now but so is everything in the economy.i guess thats why you gotta love what you do & are passionate about. I have been selling sealed pokemon product & individual cards & Funko pops for about a month.and the whole seller buyer system on eBay isn't what I would call fair or forgiving....
Great video! It's awesome to see a hopeful glimpse into my future. I love selling cards and continuing to grow and organize my setup for maximum efficiency. I'm only at about a $1200 90 day average, so nowhere close to you, but this was very helpful to see how to stay organized and sane when you're doing the numbers you are.
Amazing amazing video, the last message hit hard as I dedicate all my freetime to searching for pokemon and seem to sacrifice time with my partner and others as a result.
Set is great, but when you have potentially 200 sets worth of cards it's slightly easier to find stuff just alphabetically, but for mass modern and mtg ect, Set is perfect
As a seller of 10 years, I think another incredibly important thing is having the ability and willingness to adapt, because eBay is constantly changing things.
Want to see Kimmy's version of this, perhaps a parody, of where she complains about everything you do and how she has to carry out and correct everything. Funny skit perhaps?
I really thought this was gonna be a meme video when I saw the video at first 🤣🤣. Only thing I would suggest is maybe getting some more space efficient boxes that you were folding. But that’s just a nit pick thing lol it don’t actually matter! Great video man!
haha, well i ran out of small boxes for my plush so had to use the big one for the video :(, i have some that are half the size that fit the plushes perfectly :P glad you enjoyed the video
Hey I know this is an older video and I'm hoping this comment gets a good reply, but I love the organization and boxes for grades cards.. where did you get those and what size are they? I'm wanting to do something similar for my card saver 1 cards but alphabetically.
hey buddy, im sorry i thought i replied to this already, next week i will be coming out with a full store setup with everything i use, so stay tuned for that
Great video! I'm kind of interested in all the supplies you use to sell your cards. Like I was interested in those smaller insert boxes next to the bigger boxes you were building and then put on the shelf. Also the supplies used in your sorting.
This! I was thinking the same thing. Those boxes and the bubble wrap, I was also curious about those supplies. Hopefully he answers and gives a little more insight.
How do you go about getting an initial stock of products in order to create a store that gives you the profit needed to replenish your supply (and increase future profits)? It seems like margins are so slim that you'd need tons and tons of valuable cards already to start with in order to get anywhere in terms of cash flow. ie you need money to get cards to resell, and you need to resell cards in order to get money. This catch 22 (without a business loan) has been what's kept me away from trying to get into this industry, because I don't really understand the logistics of starting off :0 Did you just have a standard collection that one day you were like, "I think I'll sell all this" and then with the profits, bought new cards with some dd research to figure out your margins to keep selling upwards?
You nailed it on the head, i think you should always start as a collector, and sell items you are interested in, nothing i sell is something i dont like, it all means something to me, and you're always going to be well versed in markets that you are interested in too! Just start with liking something, then understanding the prices, trying to buy some of it locally or buying peoples collections, piece it out to sell individually and do it over and over. Good luck =]
This was good! I'd love to know how you take your single card photos. As I take some for my store but they always seem to be a little bit blurry. PSA slabs I'm usually okay with as I take the scans from PSA directly. Maybe its my scanner the CanoScan LiDE 300 just doesn't product good enough scans of raw cards But any advice there would be amazing!
I use a fujitsu 8170, i will make a guide eventually. but its a pretty expensive scanner so im reluctant to try to show people a $1000+ item they should use, and i have no experience with cheaper ones so i dont know what to recommend.
Hey mate, thanks for the video. I'm just setting myself up to sell cases / booster boxes of pokemon cards and one piece cards from Hong Kong as well as other gaming collectibles. Its a bit nerve racking and have a wife and baby to take care of too but seeing you in this video has given me confidence that it's a viable option to do and looks quite fun! I don't think I have the time or patience to do single cards 😂 but your calm demeanour on your video has shown me I might be heading in the right direction 😊 One question, how do you deal with scammers? I've had a lot come at me and had to refund X2 cases of 151 because they got me 😢 Ebay always side with the buyer
I'm pretty cautious who i send too, so i dont get scammers that often, im sorry that happened to you. The best thing you can always do is double check addresses, payment methods and always use signature on delivery. Take photos of the packages ect. But usually, there is not much you can do since ebay is very buyer focused :(
Hey! New viewer who just found your content. Love the packaging for the slabs, what is the box you use to put the slab in? Thanks in advance and subbed to follow along the journey :)
haha yeah theyre both adjustable, i move it around depending on what im doing, so its not really a fixed position. I have an adjustable desk to the right, so if i have monitors side by side they hit the adjustable desk if i raise it (which i did right before this video)
Hey Steve, great video, just found your page yesterday. Can you tell me what brand card dividers you use for the card sorting trays? I see you have big and small dividers, love that idea. would love a response :D
Amazing, thank you for the insight. Do you ever ship untracked for low cost single cards? I ask because I find the tracking expensive but also don't want to get scammed out of it
i stopped doing untracked in 2019, but it can be good to build feedback, you just have to understand that you will have to refund ~15% of orders from non delivery/people lying

it's really good at the moment, i hope prices keep coming down just so volume becomes king, way too many stonkers and investors lol
The editing and videography is absolutely exceptional!!! You should be very proud mate, such a good video!
haha my first time doing something like this, appreciate the nice comment :)
Loved this video! Very relatable with the jam donuts 😅
Coupled with a sausage roll there's nothing better
I play yugioh but yeah guys like this really make everyones life easier when playing tcg. I always appreciate good packaging from the bigger sellers.
I'm a collector first so I ship packages the way I'd like to receive them
A day in the life of steve.... narrated by Morgan Freeman

eBay is great!! Lots of buyer protection so never feel worried
Good luck to you and your girl, and cat. Keep grinding. At least you'll land somewhere.
That's the plan!
I love that you ship as soon as possible!
I ordered from 3 different sellers on cardmarket and 2 from ebay 8 days ago and only today i got the email that it was shipped like wow seriously they took that long to ship 2 freaking blisters?!
its really important to me that i get it done straight away, otherwise i have so much stress throughout the day lol

This is a very entertaining video. Seeing how you work around packing and selling multiple packages a day on eBay, really impressive 👍
Glad you liked it
Great video!
1200 is very impressive, my first year selling cards was 8k aud and i sold 1500 cards.. it's a slow burn, just keep at it :)
Amazing amazing video, the last message hit hard as I dedicate all my freetime to searching for pokemon and seem to sacrifice time with my partner and others as a result.

really cool stuff as someone that buys cards off ebay a lot, thanks for the vid
no problem :) thanks for supporting ebay sellers
Organizing things alphabetically is interesting, I personally do it by set
Set is great, but when you have potentially 200 sets worth of cards it's slightly easier to find stuff just alphabetically, but for mass modern and mtg ect, Set is perfect
@PokemonSteven ah that's true. I see your point. I don't have that kind of inventory so I'm not struggling like that yet.

Great video, loved this format 🎉. Probably took quite some time to shooot
only took like 5 hours overall, i was surprised. but video length isnt that long :)

at 0:53.... do you have one monitor slightly behind the other? or are they both touching side to side?
haha yeah theyre both adjustable, i move it around depending on what im doing, so its not really a fixed position. I have an adjustable desk to the right, so if i have monitors side by side they hit the adjustable desk if i raise it (which i did right before this video)

where apart from Japanese if the best place to buy Japanese you card do you think ? ebay ?
my ebay stores :P

awesome, thanks for the feedback
Amazing, thank you for the insight. Do you ever ship untracked for low cost single cards? I ask because I find the tracking expensive but also don't want to get scammed out of it
i stopped doing untracked in 2019, but it can be good to build feedback, you just have to understand that you will have to refund ~15% of orders from non delivery/people lying
Appreciate you dude@@PokemonSteven
@PokemonSteven by lying do you mean sometimes people receive the cards but say they didn't so they get their money back??
