      I think it was a good pick to.He was the last of the first round off tackles.He is an elite talent when healthy.

      I think he was the best tackle. Going to be a stalwart.

    I was hoping for Bryon Murphey, but Mims was my second choice. Bow we need to trade up and go get Johnny Newton.

      I agree with this.They have plenty of picks to use to trade up.Go get Newton.Then they will have filled their 2 biggest needs.

      I’m sure it won’t happen but would love to see the Bengals pick up Zach Frazier out of WVU …
      Strong hands and vision. Over 170 knockdown blocks in 3 years. Great IQ for the game. Two time all American. Three time team captain. 4 time state wrestling champion. Dude is an absolute monster.
      Give him the starting C spot and let T. Karras scoot over to play his natural position OG - our offensive line would have an immediate boost and Joe would stay on his feet more often!

    Jay "the wet towel" Morrison... You guys are really overly concerned about him. He's not just a home run his floor is really high. You guys keep assuming his inexperience equals a lack of polish, it doesn't! It generally means that but in this kids case you gotta remember he sat & practiced against elite competition for 2 years. He is high upside & high floor.
    And he'll be the starter soon enough. Probably mid season.

    Did ya ever think he took himself out of that game because his injury was more hindering than helping his team? A 40 % Mims or healthy 5 ⭐ backup? Let the healthy man step up ..

    We wanted a Offensive/Defensive Rookie of the year future all pro. Not some one our o line coach who I love. But he hasn’t coached anyone into being great. With the Bengals at least. The finish product has never been satisfying

    I originally was fearful of Mims. I did watch the tape highlights. Mims did not look off balance or confused. Pass off stunts well. If Murphy was there I would have been upset but he was the best true tackle left.

    Jay Morrison, with the words to kill my enthusiasm. Jay Morrison, the pursed lips to destroy my thrill. Jay Morrison, bringing full on curmudgeon, speaking into existence a bust, from what was to be a sure thing Pro Bowler, when the top cornerback was right there. Jay, you look like a person who just lost his home to BETMGM! Jay, you’re my favorite because you’re always right on, but this time, you will be wrong. It was always going to be the trenches and Murphy was gone, and the run of Tackles had done its damage even with 6 QB’s going. 100 mock drafts before tonight and it was always Mims for me. #payHendrickson

      They just took a de last year in the first round! He spent the vast majority of his first year on the bench.They don't need to do that a gain.Mims is a very talented player.He just lacks experiience.

  • @Axxis270
    @Axxis270 Месяц назад +1

    It's a terrible 1st round pick for this team. This team has proven they have no ideal what an NFL linemen looks like and have also proven they have no clue on how to develop one they have drafted. The proof is in their line right now. All but 1 was drafted somewhere else and the 1 they drafted in the worst of the 5 starters. I imagine if he was drafted anywhere but here he would become a superstar but he will end up another dud here that we will be complaining about for the next 5 years like Jonah Williams and a list of countless others.

  • @stevemiller1345

    8 games against very very weak competition. Georgias schedule was laughable last year.

    • @chrisw647
      @chrisw647 Месяц назад +2

      These guys don't know what the difference is between an injury risk & a "project." "Projects" put lots of bad plays on tape that people can pick apart. The only knock on Mims is his availability. His tape, especially in pass pro, is pretty much flawless, & mostly vs top competition, whether only 8 games or not. To question whether he was "really hurt or not" during the conference championship is really poor form too, especially after he gave them an interview lol. Real classy.
