Rewatch Reaction with Charlie Goldsmith
If you're lucky enough to get your hands on 4 players who singlehandedly keep you in every game, you pay them and figure out the rest. If the front office had merely bothered to take IOL, DT, or S more seriously over the past couple of years they'd still be playing and nobody would want to run up against them. Sign the dudes, draft some guards, sign a couple of significant defensive FAs and we're in business. Anybody trying to tell you the Bengals can't afford it either doesn't know what they're talking about or is trying to sell you something
I would like a breakdown of the impact of a big Tee contract on the next few years. No one talks about what we would sacrifice to give him the big contract. Please advise.
Strong hands...LATE hands.
Yo-see-vash, not Yo-she-vash. He's been here 2 years, be better. Completely unprofessional.
You can’t play a guy $26M if the guy misses 5-6 games AND he can’t practice most days because he can’t practice because you are afraid of him hurting himself.
He's not getting $26 million a year.. that's the tag number. 22-23 is more like it.
@ That’s what he might cost next year and the question is, do you pay it. I say no, because he misses too many games.
I would like to see the bengals being Active this off season. Not a jack-butt head coach attending bb games without hiring DC! They need to be Ahead of the curve instead of waiting. You don't fire personal without knowing who you're replacing them with. If it's "Zimmer", another retread. Then should be seen as an overvalued and lazy front office.
I love Tee. Love what he does for the team. It will near impossible for the Bengals to replicate the connection Burrow and Tee have now. That said; if we lock in to Tee with Joe and Jamarr this franchise will look much like it did this year until that trifecta of contracts is gone. Can they pay everyone.... yes!! Will it diminish the remainder of the team, ....yes.
If the bengals don't Do what the qb want in having tee😢
Joe BORROW LOVE TEE SO Grant HIM HIS wished PERIOD
Despite EVERYONE else's keep the offensive RUNNING PERIOD❤
IF it's insane TO KEEPS HIM THAN IT'S ALL ABOUT THE 💰 PERIOD
Great show. I don’t see the Bengals matching these other teams offers. Tee will have to decide to stay and take less. I could be wrong, but 40+ years of watching this team operate suggests otherwise.
I think if they tag and trade for draft picks this year. You can replace him with a really good WR. Take that money and spend it on two best guards in free agency. You give burrow time he can make any WR look like a pro bowler. You just can’t spend 120plus million on three players on offense and neglect the rest of the team where burrow has to play hero ball every game. Protect burrow and get another high end passer opposite Trey and watch this team roll!
Pay JaMarr. Pay Trey. PAY TEE. Figure the rest out. It isn't very difficult to improve on the guard play based on any metric. Draft linemen, linemen, linemen.
Pretty much my sentiment. Them keeping those guys and adding key pieces is very doable. The cap can be manipulated.. they just have to commit and go all in.
100% neighborly. No need for chit chat in freezing weather. Take the assist.
the right take
I like the orange pants lol
So essentially Zac gets a walmart budget to pick a non threatening defensive coordinator 🤮 this franchise is maddening
The word is cheap.
So fitting we didn’t make the playoffs because the 15-1 Chiefs fucking loose on purpose 🤮 that pass interference felt gross then but even worse now
Enough dicking around at guard, gimme Tyler Booker in the first
"...respect the flag?" I am out. Thanks intro song.
The Bengals will hire a no name DC. We'll just have to hope he does a good job. Ownership doesn't want to spend tons of money and Zac doesn't want a big name ex HC that can challenge his power
Zac won't hire a coach who is a threat to take over his job however if he picks a nobody and they start slow he's on the not seat so he needs to select someone who knows defense
I call BS. Not many lethal choices want this job. Just washed retreads or guys who were never good enough. Graham and Coving both fit that mold. Whoever we get likely will be les than Lou.
Are YOU GUYS GOING TOO REALLY PLAY DOWN THE WAY THE CHIEFS PLAYED THE BRONCOS.....THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY....THERE TEAMS WAS LAUGHING ON THE FIELD WHAT A JOKE....A BAD JOKE
Tell it the way it really is. They are looking for CHEAP coaches. They go into coaching searches the way the go into FA. They start at the bottom of the list and work up. Good teams go top down.
Yep
513cinti❤
Marcus Freeman BENGALS New DEFENSE COACH😅
Getting RID OF Mike Hilton is moving backwards once again like JESSE BATES WAS !
Skip the first 7:50.It's a waste of time.
This season proves why winning at the beginning of the season is just as important as winning at the end of the season.
Being sharp at end of season is most important. Being healthy and not hurt for playoffs. This team was not going to be in playoffs two (maybe one)weeks after free agency started. Too much youth starting mixed with sub average vets new to system=early losses.
The DC wasn't the problem, the problem is get Trey Hendrickson some help, he is the only defense Cincinnati has.
Patrick Graham is fine. Just get er done go to next issue
No he isn't. He is a step down from Lou.
After your done recording go do a wellness check on your comrade JR. Hes lost his mind recommending the Oregon Dc. Wed be better off with Dan Wilkenson or Robert Geathers than that oregon dude. Good sark guys
Travis kelce needs worry more about ending up a taylor swift breakup song on her next album. Shut the hhh up about our team
We need a season next year like 81 and 88 bengals where the games were never in doubt all under control start to finish. Not the game ending misery weve had to endure last few years on brink of a cluster
Well, considering there were 14 games combined from 81 and 88 that were decided by 7 points or less, that's probably just how games in the NFL are!! No team, no matter how good they are, are gonna dominate every game! These are the best football players in the world, so a majority of the time, games are gonna be close!
@@retrosmodernlife8705But in 81 and 88 there were also games where they won comfortably. Zac's teams goes to the wire too often and can rarely close since they don't commit to running it. The guy above had good points about every game being too close.
Great points. Neither the denver or pitt wins were joyous. They were both painful. Heck maybe its best for our heart health to just let 2024 fade away with the kc backups
& the oline wasn't healthy(Mims & objr was beat up.). Kinda good joe doesn't have to get hit anymore . Fix the guard position & this oline will be one of the best with health
Taylor britt should be moved to safety. Hes better suited for that roll
The biggest bungalitis curse in 2024 was inability to get one more first down offensively or one more stop on defense to close out games at the end. MUST be major point of emphasis moving forward or we're doomed again. Gotta simply turn 9-8s into 11-6s here out
Yeah,it's a relief, I don't have to worry about a game...can relax...🎉🎉🎉
What's the point of being a fan if you don't want to "worry" about them playing? Might I suggest investing that energy in yourself rather than letting the efforts of a bunch of millionaires supplant your agency?
Love you guys, but couldn’t watch this past 9:00. Too many tears. 😭
A thought thats been overlooked. For a team that MUST get off to a fast start...its very worrisome that it will take a while to install learn perfect a brand new defense. Thats a huge problem first 4 weeks ...again
I miss when they mispronounced Mark’s last name in the intro song…
We had lots of boner clusters this year Heck the dallas block punt and york boinked fg almost lost us those games. However the WORST was the group decision to go for 2 at Baltimore. In primetime with 38 seconds left against lamar with 2 timeouts against mark andrews and justin tucker. The combo of those factors far trumps any samF analytic websites. We had to defend up one or tied regardless. Getting to ot tied was way better than losing by one which was the result by the way. Many folks missed fact that losing by 2 at the gun is no different than losing by 3 at gun cause we had to play defense again regardless. Wrong decision then wrong decision now. As a hint when u get 5 chances or variables to win at something its better than narrowing it down to one. Thats why the casinos in vegas are so glitzy cause folks wrongly rely on ALL OR NOTHING variables
THE TEAM WAS NOT PLAYING WELL AT ALL THIS YEAR!!!ITS TAKE TEAM WORK TO COMPEATING IN THE NFLS😢
They were not prepared to play PERIOD😮
Hey guys i think y'all are really wrong about getting rid of Jarmaine Pratt because of his experiences PLAYING HERE'S😢
After ONE BAD SEASON YOU CAN'T GET RIDS OF OUR veterans on DEFENSE PERIOD!!!THAT'S THE HOLD REASON WHY THE DEFENSE FAILURE THIS YEAR'S FOR DURING JUST THAT BEFORE!!!
They better bring back MIKE'S Hilton BECAUSE OF HIS leadership ON THE DEFENSE PERIOD!
Another negative show. What is the point?
BLACK HELMETS ORANGE STRIPES FIRST GAME 2025
They can extend trey....and sign TEE
Happy Friday, I usually dont get mad about the if's, and's, or but's once the season is over........this season is different for some reason. You have 3 players that were the best at their positions and sitting home for the playoffs.....UNACCEPTABLE.....Not being ready for game 1, only rushing 3 at the end of the KC game, bad coaching decisions at critical game times, not getting help at the trade deadline, game oon the line and your best receiver is off the field, running the ball 3 straight times against a great run defense when you'vebeen mocing the ball all game with the game on the line.....These are all bad coaching issues that didn't NEED to be.....you win one of those games and your IN.....now we have an extra month and a half of moch crap....GET IT TOGETHER.
The team is dysfunctional on the field. Thats on the Flatlander.
Tobin has some good hits in drafts. Man, when he misses it’s really bad. Probably the biggest reason for the lost season. Quit reaching for needs and take the best player on the board.
Guys we didn't have a good pass blocking line and a bad run blocking line. We had a bad oline. They couldn't get short yardage and they couldn't protect Burrow. The guards were the two worst in the NFL
Lots to think about!
I want to understand what ownership’s vision for this franchise is and how they plan to achieve it. It always vague platitudes like “We want to win.” What does that mean? A winning season? Winning the division? Winning the Super Bowl? They certainly don’t operate like a team trying everything they can to win a SB. I’d like to know why.
Am I a masochist for watching this? Yep..
Paul and Mo, if I could, I would like to paraphrase the HOF QB Troy AIKMAN 3 x SB Champ etc. who spoke during the last regular season game. He talked about how people do not understand how difficult it is to operate as Oline in a primary Shotgun formation offense where lineman rarely get to attack in other formations more suited to run, and have play action passing etc. mixed in with shotgun spread. I will paraphrase every former offensive lineman : They appreciate it when they get to have plays where they can go downhill. I will paraphrase Bengal legend. David Fulcher again and again he has said defenses have it easy when stopping the run against a shotgun formation and he wishes the Bengals would switch it up more. During the starts with Jake browning the Bengals ran more pro and 2 tight end sets under center and play action, wow suddenly the interior of the offensive line was suddenly much better. Look, I enjoy Joe and Jamar and Tee and the razzle dazzle fireworks, but we have to be honest with ourselves. The offensive limited scheme is difficult for any lineman to perform at a high level. If Zac and Joe want to stick with the same 12 shotgun plays every week then prepare to complain about the Oline and gong 9-8 and having our own Dan Marino style and Andrew Luck results. I hope they diversify the offense besides joe cannot keep taking 12 hits per game or whatever it is. I would rather they win Super Bowls then have empty calorie offensive numbers at the end of the year. The Detroit Lions have a superior offense compared to the Bengals.
