Kabutoyama is an instructor in the "sumo school", where all the new recruits go for 6 months - 1 year. Sazanami is from Isenoumi stable. The filming I think is done in the sumo school, which is located in the Kokugikan
is there a reason why they don't talk about using their legs to trip/lift the opponent's leg? From seeing Chiyonofuji, Hakuho among many others, tripping the opponent with the planted leg before throwing is almost as important.
@@matejdostal9992 At the opening 4 sec into the vid, the third opponent thrown by chiyonifuji was tripped by chiyonifuji while being thrown. Hakuho, hoshoryu and many others used that to initiate the throw, by getting their opponents off balance. I suppose it is just extra gravy on top and the basic of the move doesn't require it to work.
