- This is the Friday update for the last week of March. It’s also good Friday and maybe one of the beast bass fishing week in all of the South! Last week I worked the Bassmaster Classic and my friend Justin Hammer won it! Then Jimmy Houston and I went to his ranch in Southern Oklahoma and fished bass and crappie in a couple of nearby lakes and did extremely well ! For me to compete with Jimmy when he’s running the trolling motor, I had to be a super duper caster and out cast him which I managed to do so I’ll tell you how! After our fishing and filming , Jimmy and I flew to Irvine, California to help open a brand new Bass Pro Shop. Wow,what a store and what a week!
My Daughter loves watching your videos! Shes only 1 1/2 but she always points to the tv till I put you on. She does her happy dance and smiles ear to ear when you catch a fish.

I remember shopping in that same store maybe 8 years or so ago and running into you Roland in the hunting area upstairs I think you were getting ready for a muzzleloader hunt. We talked for awhile and I wish I would have gotten a photo and an autograph with you. Really made my trip to Bass Pro Ft. Myers that year. Take care and it was great to meet you! 🇺🇸

Thanks for bringing up clear lake,very historical,it's a natural undamed lake fed from underground fichers,i had my best tournament ever there,dock fishing heaven,I met Dee Thomas there,along with my bass fishing icons,You Houston,Parker and Dance.

When I think of pro fishing, this the guy I think of. Thank you for reminding me about live bait fishing for bass. I have a lake with golden shiners in it. Very soon here I will be cast netting for bait, catching bass, laughing like an idiot and thinking of Roland Martin .
