- The Plum returns in Rayman 4! Though it seems to be more...sentient.
The model for the plum in the prototype was originally a simple white sphere, so i decided to replace it with the Rayman 3 plum, and it looks pretty good!

When you used plums against rabbids, that legit felt satisfying.
I feel this AI it has was meant for wildlife after saving them from a group of Rabbids, at least to a certain extent where they’d stop following
this plums ai is used in the final game, as the pig in "Bunnies don't like bats"
Damn my ears hurt because with those rabbids doing the same sound at the same time X_x
glad to know this tradition would've lived on with this game

This plum feels more like the Rayman 2 version of it, with how much it bounces and can be used as a weapon. Kinda weird it follows you around, but that could've been an AI behaviour placeholder at the time.
Wow, I didn't know it has a Day and Night system.
(And I still found funny the little lady who appears near the X in the F-P mode)
That's Monik, André's girlfriend who would've accompanied you throughout the game. Her model was in the files but not actually implemented into the prototype yet, so the patch restores it.

@@sansclasico9741 Nah, that was just its own thing. Monik was created specifically for Rayman 4.

The Rayman 3 plum has finally redeem itself after its lackluster showing in their debut game! Rayman riding on it like a bouncy ball is brilliant, it's a clever of way of having Rayman control it without relying on his magic fist like in Rayman 2.

@@Moonlow. well, there is nothing wrong with it being a 'fan game', but in this case, it is not a fan game, and more so a fan reimagination, still the official thing, but with stuff done by fans to make it a better and proper experience
@@MaeDaGoof I know. just promise that nothing gets replaced and that fully custom stuff can be replaced. I have 2 ideas to fix the game though. First fix the entrance to the underground base that is in exterior cines. Also I think that there can be the restoration rayman 4 and the fan game version with those custom stuff.
@@Moonlow. there's placeholder assets from king kong inside this game by the devs. It already feels like a fangame thanks to that lol

Were you really meant to be able to swing the plum as a weapon or is that something you coded yourself ? I remember that data for the plum was found in the final RRR but iirc it simply bounced like in R2 and you could ride it, not use it with the hook
Still, if they were going to bring it back, they could've at LEAST made something badass with it instead of a stale reash of Rayman 2's plum... I dunno, make it so the plum Can be used as ammo for a one-use plum bazooka or something...
all of the plums functions in the video are from the prototype, i only replaced the placeholder plum model that was a basic white sphere
