It's Twitter/X so people there have too much time and think everything is creepy. EDIT: Also there's nothing wrong with being attracted to someone.
I know a lot of issues with FDM printers can be fixed by tuning the printer for the filment your using. I have the Prusa Mini, which used to have a lot of issues and prints would come out all wonky, but now that we've tuned it, all the prints come out fantastic.
Love the process of how you split your character for printing and really love your character style and development. Instead of blocks for printing, try using tree supports and different angles as you have less touch points which means easier clean up. Also I find a dremel is usually to fast and melts the pla due to the speed and heat. You can create a cool tool using an old electric toothbrush and cut off its bristles and stick different grit sand paper 😊
Great video! For something like this tree supports work a lot better than the tradition supports. Much easier to remove and only support what is necessary. Also, you can model in tree supports and then print them separately. I've got a tutorial on that. You might also want to check out Prusa Slicer. Its the best slicer for FMD IMO.
Uhhh, do not use a Dremel for PLA, it will melt. Maybe try the Orca Slicer. Well the thing is. Those FDM Printers are not that good at printing small things. There are nozzels for, but i would rather use the resin printer for small detailed figures. With FDM you wanna go Big.
@Danny Mac 3D - you commented that SLA prints are brittle. You are misinformed. There are a multitude of resins engineered to be as tough as anything printed using an FDM printer. Form Lab's Form 3 Tough 2000 Resin, after washed in alcohol and cured with a quality heat/UV curing box, is amazingly rugged. It is not as cheap as the printer you used but it can be done and the results are significantly better than FDM. I do these processes daily at scales similar to what you did in this video. More work is required to section the model to reassemble into a bigger result. My minor heartburn is that you dismissed a whole other 3D printing technology sucessfully used daily so many other creators. I still love your other excellent & informative content. Keep up the inspiration. A fellow ZBrusher.

SLA can be messier and take longer to post-process but, as you mentioned, will produce a higher quality result. You get what you pay (or not pay) for - go cheap in FDM or SLA and you will will get a cheaper lower quality result. I love your ZBrush work, been following you for years from ZBC and here on RUclips. Was hoping to see a 3D print process that did justice to your outstanding art and tutorials. You inspired me to keep at ZB. I have been doing 3D production in a one-person shop for 7 years...kinda sensitive about seeing misinfo about a process I have invested so much time and effort into learning/using. Well he isn't wrong, SLA is _generally_ more brittle - it's not an issue really for models like this that are just meant to be displayed, but FDM is just superior when you need strong parts that need to hold things, noone in their right mind would print load bearing stuff with resin

prusa slicer uses hollow tree supports which are better than the ones in lychee but i hate removing any supports haha
