    Which lighting setup was your favorite for each shot? :) And what did you think of this type of 'thought process tutorial' as opposed to something more step-by-step?

    oh my goodness thank you because I stopped progressing in 3D modelling and animation because I hit a plateau with lighting and I dropped it completely after being on a roll, so again thank you so much for sharing this knowledge for free and making it accessible for people

    I've actually been helping animators this past month, lighting there shots to help them cause I know they aren't focused on texturing and lighting. but using this to help both our portfolios

    I really liked this video, checking your thought process and use of reference was interesting, also it was easy to follow, specially separating the video into the 3 programs was a good touch.

    Sir, I actually like this approach of tutorial from anylizing, along with your usual step by step tutorials. I would love it if you can combine something in between and do both. Also for a fun idea for a future video you can do, how about one on how about a followup on how to become a animator in 2024 edition? Especially with all the fun new tools that has come out within the past year? Also I hope to attend to your workshop next year again down the road. :) Whenever you do launch your unreal engine 5 or blender workshops pleas let me know.

    From real world lighting I think bounce light is very important to think about as well, and to use surface to help tell the story. Perfect example is the table in the burger place, real world that table surface will bounce light back on to the face. So your surface/texture work on the table should take that into account.

      Absolutely! You’re so right, bounce lighting is probably the most important thing to make the scene NOT feel like a 3D software render

    It was an amazing video, for the Unreal lighting: the characters have 0% phong tag value, that is why the looked weird low poly,
    Otherwise, Lighting plays a significant role in conveying the narrative aspects and mood of a shot.

    I usually love love love your videos- but found some parts of this hard to watch due to the sequences that were in fast motion.

    • @SirWade
      @SirWade  6 месяцев назад

      That's good feedback! Is it that you're trying to follow the steps and it's too fast, or is it that, visually, things onscreen are just too overwhelming?

    • @zoesunnysandell8346
      @zoesunnysandell8346 6 месяцев назад

      Sir Wade! A bit of both- mostly, the motion itself is so fast- I had to cover the screen during those portions- so I have no idea what the steps would have been.
