However, my copy's instruction manual has a different typo: in the Cyan Laser section, where it shows the picture of the prisms and optical cables, the following is stated: "When Sonic is transforms into the Cyan Laser, be sure to look for prisms (left) and optical cables (right). Shoot at them and see what happens!" Strangely the previous occurrence of these two sentences doesn't have this typo

Same developer as the disastrous Switch port of one of the WWE 2Ks, though I will give them a bit of slack seeing that sometimes the publisher calls the shots and sometimes don't even care they are putting out a buggy product until it's too late and the damage has been done (one example being Grove Street being at the mercy of Take Two/Rockstar for the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition)

You are one of my favorite video creators in the platform so it’s always nice when you do upload, knowing how much time and effort you put in, it really shows. And having both you and Mawde Wile post videos back to back is one hell of a nice surprise gift. If you haven’t checked out his channel yet, I highly recommend it, he puts a lot of work into his videos but doesn’t get anywhere near enough views. His videos on the neat things in Sonic and the Black Knight is one of my favorites, he’s also one of only a select handful of people who does challenge videos on the modern titles. Speaking of Black Knight, I hope one day you’ll cover both of the Storybook Games. Looking through what’s left in the files, and what was reused in other games, it’s honestly rather surprising but cool none the less. And a Lost World video would be nice too, that game is a treasure trove of unused content. Especially the Steam re-release, speaking of which can anyone tell me why they didn’t just port it to all modern systems at the time? The work was already done seeing as they ported it to PC. My dream would be a version of colors that had the OG structure/level design before it got unnecessarily chopped up but ig that's not happenin anytime soon. Ultimate hurts me on a core level. Tho I will say the WILDEST thing were those unused audio files for me. I like the Wisps more than most but HOLY HELL ABOVE CHAOS EMERALD LEVEL IS BEYOND SOMETHIN! A lot of it explains the differences in the DS version & how there R minor callbacks to things that only exist in that version in later stuff (like TSR I think but I haven't played it). I tend to not view them as "lesser, greater" like most others(games) wit more than 1 version released but rather 2 sides of the same coin & that makes it more fullfilin to me & like I said jus explains stuff later. another great 1, excited for wut's next. thx

How the success of Mario and Sonic at the Olympics games 2008 and the opinions of Classic Sonic fans and the gaming press from the mid 2000's of the "dark era" influenced the direction of Sonic Colors as a whole, story tone, level design similar to Super Mario, the setting of Egg Planet Park being created due to Sonic Unleashed already having Sonic travel to the world and Sonic Team wanting to go back to create more surrealist levels like in Classic Sonic and the Advance games.

Hey wait, something I just noticed I don’t know if you picked up or not… The Wisp’s prototype name was “Pixy?” Like a fairy? Doesn’t that mean they were radically different in development? I mean for instance the Yellow Drill Wisp’s name in the beta was “Spin Pixy” so had things gone a bit differently we would have Pixys instead of Wisps. I can’t decide which name is better, Pixy sounds more magical, while Wisp just makes me think of ghosts, nothing to do with space aliens. Forgive my tangent, but there is also the possibility that at one point in development, the Wisps/Pixys were more ghostly considering the way the White Wisps look. I can’t help but wonder if it was something they carried over after the change was decided on. Keep in mind Colors was being worked on around the same time as Unleashed’s DLC and it’s OVA “Night of the Werehog” were finishing up production. Ghosts were definitely something that the art team were thinking about. It could have been a slight nod, or it may have been entirely unintentional. It’s just so oddly specific, and I’ve never seen anyone bring it up before. Now I’m curious, I might just have to do a bit of digging to see if there is anything in an art book or interview that mentions the Wisps development and the reasoning behind their final designs and name.

For the Starlight Carnival thing, this was the case in the Wii version, but version 3.0 of Ultimate fixed this by having Act 4 use Act 3's music when the toggle is set to just the remixes

Not all of them, only some of them. If I had to guess out of the blue, they probably only put some internal values back to 30 in the internal data and missed others, meaning the port runs at a hybrid-framerate. That is at least the only way I can imagine that happening.
