Tokyo Revengers by Ken Wakui
Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he’s a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang!!

Me while reading about 5 pages: why the chapter so short??
After watching this I feel horrible for complaining. The amount of work he need to do with one page is amazing. I never complaining after this. Thank you for your hard work.
yes that's why weekly mangas are only 15-16 pages short, if you want longer chapters read mangas that are releases monthly they usually have 20-30 pages. Have a nice day

Fr ppl need to realize what it’s like in the artists shoes! It’s a lot of hard work for people just to read in 2 seconds. I like to take my time reading manga and appreciate each pages art :)

I'm so impressed by the amount of effort that goes into each page, and especially the backgrounds of the buildings and rooms are so painstakingly done! Now i understand why we get short chapters

One page takes around 8 hours if you got assistants, and They have to produce 15 a week.
That's why most Artists doesn't sleep more than 4 hours.

This is why I never complain about a manga chapter not coming out that week or a manga artist being on a hiatus, I don't think people understand that a lot of manga is done by hand before it becomes digital.

Imagine spending this much time on a single page for people to just flip by it after they’re finished reading the text. Mangaka really do have it rough.

While that is true, there are some panels in this series where you can feel the heart and soul put into it.

Tokyo Revengers gave me more depression than my whole 19 yrs of life already had. Also, It's really amazing how so much of work is needed in a single page of a manga, loved the detailing. It kinda worries me how I know from which arc, chapter and scene this page is from 😅😅

@@vasilikirigney537 and the way Takemichi's character developped , instead of a usless crying baby that can't do anything he starts to get used to gangs after leaving them for 12 years , he regained his confidence and became very powerful.

よく見ると、キャラを描いている手と背景描いている手が、爪の形や腕のほくろなどが違うので、アシスタントなど別の人が描いているっぽいですよ。

you cant just compare them to book series authors cus they're this talented! they've been multitasking great power. they're so powerful im scared. ❤️
It is important to note that this panel was just a regular conversation. Fight panels are probably much harder and more time consuming.

this. this is what im trying to tell people. other than saying the animation “sucks” its really disrespectful to the author,, just because the animation isn’t the best doesn’t mean you can make fun of the art/storyline.. every author of manga works hard on their art! knowing they spend about hours on a single page just for it to be read as fast as sonic..
The hardest part for me while making a manga is the background with small details

I won't complain for short chapter since so much time and effort goes into it plus Wake-san has a son and family to care for as well.

Manga artists are legends.
They put an effort for every single page + imagination for each movements of characters + thinking for every plot twist at story + designed characters
The fact that some mangaka have to all this in a week is scary and impressive
we should appreciate all effort does mangakas put on how they creata manga & also the drawing
Even manga artists look at references love to see it
of course they do they are not aliens or god something 😂
Drawing took almost 5 hours to finish while the reader only took 2-3 seconds to look at it and proceed to the next panel.
