Matt was given a nice farewell and a greeting from the two fan bases when the trade happened, but Goff was PUSHED out of LA and CRITICIZED by Detroit when he first got here, this man does nothing but prove his worth and lots of people still dont give him his flowers. This game is where Goff gets his revenge on McVey and LA and opens the eyes of those select few haters in the Lions fandom!
I think there was plenty of reason to question the trade. We all felt we were getting screwed by it, especially after the first season Goff was here. But, he proved that he just needed the right team and coaching staff to succeed. I'm seriously cheering for Goff to dominate out there on Sunday. Not just for revenge, but to silence the remaining critics!

Historical run defense, suspect pass defense...similar to this year. Just this defense is a step back from 2014. Stafford didnt have the running game this team has. Remember when it was a HUGE deal to get a RB over 1000 yds? Well we almost had 2 1000yd backs this year. This team imo is much better than that 2014 Lions team that backed into the playoffs. @@anandnathan6851

Everybody talking about Stafford - to me its way more about Goff. Stafford didn't want to go through another rebuild so he asked out. Lions did him a solid sending him to LA. Goff is a different story. They went Kentucky Fried Movie on him and said 'Send him to DETROIT!". He went 3-13-1 his first year while Stafford wins a SB. Then goes 1-6 to start the second year. Then it clicked. 20-7 since and he wins the North - something Stafford could never get to. That's one banner. Two more to go! Goff and Josh can shove it in McVay's face. Stafford has no malice towards Detroit. Goff has a ton toward McVay.
Yup, they sent him to the worst franchise too, not just a below average franchise and he has turned the Lions reputation around.
Goff should be thanking whatever God he believes in for McVay coaching him because he was on his way to bust status as a rookie.

Really wish Jamo gave Goff his flowers like St Brown, LaPorta and Reynolds does. I've heard every one of them call Goff out specifically and put flowers on his name especially St Brown. Jamo is yet to do that from what I've heard and seen. He gave Teddy his flowers... actually called Hendo "great" but has never gave that respect to Goff.
