Good playthrough and good first-attempt scoring too!
Just one rule clarification: actually you can use the “Imitate” space to use an occupied action space again, even in solo! :)

Hi Edward I really like your videos, always a positive attitude and it's as if we're playing/discussing together. I found this gem on the 2nd hand market yesterday (and In my language !), your video definitely helped. Thank you !

Really enjoyed this. Just got my copy this week and played twice, 92 and 80. I adore Odin and all the expansions/promos, and have played 10+ times in the past few months, and I can already see Fields of Arle becoming a new favorite. The relationship between the two is very clear to me, where the vehicles and trading actions in Arle mirror the islands/explore in Odin, but on vastly different scales. I've only played Le Havre and Patchwork in addition to these two, so I know I'm missing the super tense Use experience of Agricola, but I'm so glad to have found these ones and love watching other gamers work through them so elegantly.

Really enjoyed the playthrough. I have picked up most of Uwe's games (not the more polyamino one's except AFFO). Really love playing them. Favorite for now is probably Le Havre. Thanks!

    Very nice!
This is my 2nd favourite Uwe game after A Feast for Odin.
With Hallerau as my #3, you really need to try that!

Great play through, Edward. Sadly, the game is out of print for now.

in agricola its all about the endless amount of cards, that make each game different, what about arle makes each game different,is it the building variety

I find FoA a more "difficult" game than AFFO in the sense of creating the right engine to score big. With effectively only 36 actions and more limited choices and no real variability in solo (except for some of the starting buildings), there seems to less paths to big scores than AFFO which offers different occupation cards, the islands, variability on die rolls, more spaces, and the ability to really maximize a prime path.
Obviously the big VP buildings are essential in FoA, but beyond that I have not cracked the code. However, once the code is cracked, given the "no variability" throughout the game play, you can effectively follow the same path game after game if your sole goal is a big score (but what fun is that?). Have not played T&T expansion yet.
So yeah, the 94 is a really good score esp first time through.

I feel like if Agricola was mean because of its straight-laced, tight approach, Fields of Arle on the other hand is low-key mean because of the tons of things you could do outright causing you to become decision-fatigued. It's like a passive-aggresive sand-boxy, revision of Agricola 😂.
Still though, love this game, kind of neck to neck for me with Agricola.
