This ev swap is a true game changer in the off road community I bet you could put two larger batteries in the back where the old seats were but keep it a 3 seats now cause of the tunnel wall I’d like to get one of these with full second or third battery’s on deck on standbys with a generator and some gas and some extra steering arms ball joints and common fluids water we take these things pretty far out places

Nicely done but the sound will eventually disturb on long trips, I guess

Outstanding work! Using the Tesla motor itself as a transfer case is very interesting. How did you attach the prop shafts to the motor outputs? Were the spline clips enough to keep it secure?

Would be interested in seeing it is in steep, slippery and slow terrain. How it copes relying on throttle control and torque alone without a low range transmission 4wd either way I would love it.

Entire length solar rooftop array on roof rack that trickle charges the battery all day long would be exciting.

Love your work team!! Can you install an EV set up on a Land Rover Discovery 4 2010 by chance?

If Landrover Aus was to provide me with one of these to test I would give it a good run, even on a Simpson desert crossing with solar panels or a backup AC generator to charge it that is. If it takes a day to charge with solar power, one would just plan for that and stay a day in a great location.

It looks good on the blacktop, but how will it perform off road? I have concerns for the positioning of the switches just above the knee, as a tall person like me could hit the Brake while bouncing around off road. Also 200miles range isn't much, would solar panels on a roof rack extend that or would it be insufficient amperage for charging? 200 miles is a short drive for us in Australia. I guess in time this is what we will all have to drive.

This wasn't built for serious off-roaders, it was built for wealthy people who want to look like they have the off-road lifestyle but never leave pavement. There are no car manufacturers that have off-road capable EVs with the range that you are looking for. Even with solar panels you will be waiting for hours just to get enough charge for a few km. The tech is just not there yet. But tech always progresses.
