    "First" V6 Camry? There was a V6 model in 1990, then the 1997-2012 models had V6 options too- all under the Camry name as well as the Vienta, Avalon and Aurion

      @kidfreejones 6 лет назад

      Yep it's a silly play on words right? Aurion no longer but it was always just a V6 Camry with different features but body the same. Probably helped it's rubbish result in sales with the silly name, V6 Camry would have been smarter, lets see if that helps sales now...well probably will do OK with Commodore and Falcon gone (for 6cyl options).

      Morrie Mindel And the V6 has over 220kw. Why would anyone buy an ES Lexus.

    What sucks is that there isn't a two tone paint option like America

    • @gjmob
      @gjmob 6 лет назад +2

      Didn't two tone paint go out of fashion in the 1950s. I guess that america gets the chrome bumpers and whitewall tyre options also.

    The first v6 in the Camry line up for 30 years.....? This is not accurate is it? Please mate know your stuff, read, absorb. There was a Camry v6 in Both the MCV20 and MCV36 series’s. A simple look on Carsales can glean this in minutes? Some reporte4 is not doing is homework nor know his stuff?

    • @steve8567
      @steve8567 6 лет назад

      Yes. I had a 1991 V6 Camry (2.5 litre) and they were made in Japan. The 4 cylinder versions were made in Melbourne. So probably 26 or 27 years since Camrys came from Japan, not 30.

      Yep I owned two new V6 Camrys from Sep 2005, replaced by the 'new' Aurion.

    There was a V6 Camry Ateva in 2006 before it was replaced by the Aurion.

    Wait, so the US base model gets an updated, more powerful 2.5L engine and a brand new 8-speed auto, but our model still uses the previous powertrain? Well done Toyota

    • @gde1989
      @gde1989 6 лет назад

      When the US model sells between 3 to 400,000 a year in the US market alone, offering the best powertrains is vital for sales success. This Japanese sourced model supplies multiple markets that would sell nothing close to that amount so investment in the newest and best is not as crucial

      Are typical Camry buyers and fleet buyers likely to care? Doubtful.... If you want economy, buy the hybrid (which gets the Dynamic Force donk)!

    Bit pissed of that no more aussie made cars at all. BUT the new camry is well sexy :O I really like them.

  • @kerryhawkins556
    @kerryhawkins556 5 лет назад +1

    I didn’t notice you mention the economy of the hybrid. This is important for consumers like me as running costs are important so too would be some tangible idea of price.

  • @ozibala
    @ozibala 6 лет назад +3

    So it is cheaper to make cars in Japan and ship them all the way down to Australia than making them in Australia?

      doesnt surprise me, greedy workers forced toyota via belligerent unions to pay forklift drivers 120 grand a year, what a joke

    Have they put in a proper park brake, or at least an electronic one, instead of that crap pedal down in the foot well?

    • @TimRobson
      @TimRobson 6 лет назад

      Yep - an electronic handbrake across the line. I forgot about that footbrake! :)

      are you being serious or are you just trolling? the main rival to the camry are mazda 6, honda accord and nissan maxima.

  • @snozzybosch7503
    @snozzybosch7503 6 лет назад

    I know that two because I have bough5 both vehicles from new. What ever your getting paid, are you doing credit to the fake news emblem....? Overall this is pretty poor. Even for Australia.

      Agree! Put me right off buying a Camry. Now looking to purchase a Bugatti, which I hope is a bit less mediocre and a touch more exciting.

    Toyota, a hard name to stomach with styling that's all kinds of wrong. At least they're reliable.

  • @endzmeetmusic9053
    @endzmeetmusic9053 6 лет назад

    This car is desingned for the bloke doing this review. For sure they're targeted for the baby booners and pensioners.
    Overpriced and boring that has technology that dates back to 2010. Why would you want to own this.
    What car did you buy" i bought a Camry" it doesnt sound classy.
    The technology you get in base model European car is what you get in the top of the range Toyota's. Just so far behind. Toyota arent innovators just imitators

    • @swissnotcheddar3132
      @swissnotcheddar3132 6 лет назад

      What kind of technologies would you advise comparing european based vehicles to the toyota range?

    OMG. So ugly. The camry is looking worse with every new model. The awful Lexus theme is carried on in this car and it aint pretty.
