In this fast modern throwaway society, it,s great to see and appreciate real skill, product knowledge and customer service.............very informative video.
Impressive, such intricate work! It's a shame that you can't get a professional shoeshine to save your life here in Sweden. Keep up the good work Will!
@geneisms Perhaps it's just a question of taste. To me they look like shoes at the bottom but the rest around the ankles does not seem to go with them, they look odd. Personally they are not the kind of boots I would buy. Every one to his own I suppose.
An unappreciated craft.
They are Gaziano & Girling's whose pattern I had modified slightly some years ago when they would do such things. .

The location is Embarcadero One. Regular shines cost $10, $12 or $15 depending on the number of coats applied.
I love watching shoe shines. I just got my first pair of shell cordovan wingtips, I shall use the tips provided by this video,
this weirdly relaxing...
Very educational and a superb service as well...
Also, what boots are those? I would have used n Alden Color 8 polish myself (unless you don't want it reddish).
@1stMarineCapt : Check out the lighting on the trouser and socks, the left leg is in shadow while the right is well lit
that was awesome. I never heard of using a deer bone, but, now i know. thank you
I'm in the SF Bay Area. How much does a shine at this place cost?
Awesome shoe shine. Could you upload the full video? :)

Polishing ostrich the usual way with a brush and a cloth won't hurt it. A deer bone might.

why do you cut footage? =/ FULL videos are so rare...
@phototristan Apparently, they're made by Gaziano & Girling
Does anyone know where I can purchase a deer bone from Paris, France ?
You should ask the customer to point-up their toe in order to polish the backs since it folds up like that.
what type of cloth is she using to buff those?
Also, what location is this?
3 deer voted thumbs down.

can anyone tell me the different pros and cons to using cream and wax polish
You can indeed judge a man by how he cares for his footwear.
LOVE IT
too bad it was edited down to less than half :D
Awful looking boots, but excellent shine though worth the money, brilliant job.
