The reason you measured 12v on the relay trigger wire is because there is 12v on the ignition side of the relay (pin 85 I think it was). So when you measure on the wire that goes from the ecu plug to the other side of the relay (pin 86) you are measuring the 12v ignition feed passing through the relay coil to your multimeter.
I would have reused pin 85 and 86 on the ASD relay to avoid adding another failure point to the system which is the extra relay. So 86 would be a negative and 85 a switched positive. Cheers, can't wait for the startup.
You’ll still see voltage on the ground side of a load on a circuit when there is an open. The voltage will be Lower than the positive side but still a voltage if that makes sense.
hello car mods i have an 97 eclipse gs non turbo my add relay isn’t clicking when the key turned is it supposed to click with it turned or when im gonna start it the fuel pump relay clicks but the asd doesn’t and im not getting no buzz on the fuel pump brand new fuel pump

@@CarModsGarage i have a 1998, I just wanna know what each wire is for and if it’s positive or negative and I noticed in the video you had a paper and i assumed it was the pinout of what each wire did.

That makes sense. I would assume I could not ground something that my multimeter was returning a dcv value though. That's what threw me off

Ya that threw me off but I looked into the schematics and it said it was ground so I grounded it lol 🤣 car didn't catch on fire

Usually you hear a click on the relay. Your relay could be bad. You can either try to test or get a new one

whatsup carlos , the negatives goes to chassis or what wires from ecu(oem) did u connect?
Oem it was coming from ECU so if I can remember correctly I wore to the chassis. Gotta watch the video to remember but Im sure I say it there
