Good video, you just left out some parts to it like what you hooked up the toggle switch too, how you hooked up the white wire from the pigtail of the fuel pump connector etc.
Sorry I haven’t responded 😅 they both go to the chassis; terminal 85 needs to go to a ground, and the fuel pump connector needs a ground as well. I just happened to ground them both to the same place.
Hey, just gotta 98 GSX, I wanna install a kill switch, could you tell me where exactly the Fuel Pump Relay is? I'm not trying to rewire the whole thing, I just wanna install a kill switch. Don't have an owners manual and google gave me too many different results, didn't know what to follow...
Your fuel pump relay should be behind the center of the instrument panel, near the ECU. I don’t know exactly where it is since I just bypassed it, but this link should help you: www.dsmtuners.com/threads/mfi-mpi-relay.263224/
Yessir! A rewire is gonna be needed to push more fuel and prevent voltage drop. The actual process is similar to the turbo cars, but I think the non-turbos are a little different. Here's an excellent source that I hope helps! www.2gnt.com/index.php?d=Fuel%2520Pump%2520Re-wire
Nice video man! Just work on your editing is all I would suggest the music is a little to much.. and your voice over there a couple times got messed up.. but hey man great video! I see your in Washington? I'm located in Portland Oregon man maybe you can hit up a car meet or something
Yeah, I'm still working on my editing skills. There is only so much you can do with the iMovie app on my phone lol Yeah! I'm just in Spokane, we should totally meet up at a car meet or cruise or somethin. Thanks for the comment!
The battery wire goes to a fuse, and then to terminal 17. The old power (blue wire) goes to terminal 86 (that’s the new remote wire). Terminal 30/51 goes to the pump and will provide the power. Terminal 85 is the ground for the relay.
You always want your fuse within 12 Inches from your pump. If you understand how electricity works. Closer the better.
Good knowledge, good tips. Keep it up man, wish I would've recorded all the stuff I've done over the years!
Thanks man!
This is unique! Niceee
Thanks man!

The Old Ground from the Old connecter Where did you ground it?
Did you cut a hole in the boot that goes through the firewall ? Or just pushed it through some How ?
Do both relay and pump “grounds” connect to 85 or just the relay ground to chasses and the ground for pump connector goes on chassis as well ??

What did that ground wire that’s under the steer wheel come from?
That’s the ground for the kill-switch
So you only used 86 87 and 30 from the relay???
Hi there broh! Quick question. This applies for non turbo?

@@TheBoostedRose thanks man! I will be doing this appreciate it 😎
How much did it cost to get the rewire kit?
I bought all the parts from O'reily's, and it came out to be about 10 bucks for the wiring, relay, in-line fuse, and quick disconnects :)
@@TheBoostedRose dannnng. Thanks. Sorry I'm just now seeing this response. I appreciate it

Is this a gst or gsx

Wait a second you connected the BATTERIE power wire to number 30 and now the blue wire you snip off “also to 30 on relay”????
