Good see to see you back. With the colder weather coming in NY it's only expected the number of videos to slow down. Maybe you can do a year in review video of the mods you felt were worthwhile, things you would have done differently, or maybe a future plan on mods video.
Great ideas 👍 I do plan on deep dive into more tuning in the coming months. Along with finishing our cylinder head rebuild. We've also got some cool partnership stuff coming in the new year. Can't wait for the cold to go away though
Yes, that is too cool. I was told that you couldn’t do rolling anti lag with ECM Link and I needed to get a standalone system. I will have the tuner consult to this video👍🏾
It does remove nlts unless you wire them both up to work depending on a secondary switch which will bypass the clutch or allow rolling to work. A basic toggle would do it with a momentary switch for rolling anti lag and flip the other way to allow track use nlts. Of course parameters would need to change at the drag strip but totally doable
What tuner do you use?? My dsm came with a tune on ecm link but I don't trust myself trying to tune it myself so I'd like to try and find a tuner but I haven't found much when looking
Yea man I watch his video and commented on his video as well about making a how to do video but yours just as good 👍🏾. I want to run mine on my cruise control handle right on the steering feel like it’s the best spot for it ! Love this good work man
Yes man ik that thing fill like a whole new car !!! I’m running a hx40 so ik once I get this going with a tune sweet Jesus I’m going to send it for Dale 😂🔥
5 years since mine ran but pretty sure you can just do it in settings off the clutch switch. I would be on the highway, press the clutch and gas in, anti lag builds up boost, and drop the clutch 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah that’s more of a no lift to shift feature. I ran mine to a button leaving the car in gear, full throttle with button pressed then once you take your finger off it full power!. Works both ways by this way allows you to stay in gear
Love the video, some really good info. So if I wanted to keep my NLTS I splice one end of my button to the black with red line wire and the other end of the button to the orange wire going to the ecu
Yeah, you can set it up however you want. If you add timing and fuel it gets way more aggressive. All about preference. I like mine set to a “calm” load point with these old stock internals
So when you pressing on the bottom for rolling anti lag what are you doing with the clutch pedal? Are you pushing the pedal or re you in gear? Love your content
17:38 when you accelerate it has a whine sound. My GST has had that since I had the turbo down (I think, not sure) to replease the manifold gasket. Do you know what the cause can be? Its only when I accelerate decently much and easier at higher speeds.
The wine sound mine WAS making was caused by the bov. My bov has an adjustment for spring tension. I had mine too tight and it made the bov stay shut under low boost conditions and it would only partially open on release of the throttle. I had to unscrew my bov top to allow it to open easier . It almost sounds like a o2 dump screamer pipe. Now it doesn't do it anymore. Hopefully that's the same noise your talking about?. Lmk 👍
@@TPGDSM Thanks for an quick answer :D Could be something like that, I think it also can be some sort of leak. I am bringing it to another guy with more experience on eclipses and cars in general in about a month for a service so he might know something as well. But otherwise I might just invest in a boost leak tester or what they are called, and maybe even a new bov. But thanks again for answering :D
You know what?, … first time I tried it I thought the same thing 😂. Think I’m going to wire it to the windshield wiper fluid sprayer. Two hands on the wheel, fingertips grab the stick… definitely seems safer
nice that its finally set up - I wonder if its doable without adding a switch, my car has the wire mod but I was always curious how to engage rolling Antilag lol. I did test it from 0 which was fun, but a bit aggressive xD
There are two other ways I've read you can do it. One way you can use the windshield sprayer arm. You loose the sprayer but get rolling anti lag. I've also seen people use the rear wiper sprayer rocker switch and add it to that. All you really need is any momentary Switch. Hell I'll bet someone's used the horn before. As far as to aggressive goes, you can set the "atdc" timing number lower to get a lighter start. It's definitely fun on a button either way. 👍👍
It's only for the "start" of a pull. I've got it set at 4k RPMs just to get max boost once I let off the button. Although I may tie it to a motion raceworks momentary switch/hub mount to keep em both on the wheel 👍
@ I have a short talking about it. 3 position rocker, one to ecu, one to clutch switch and other to cruise switch. On nlts, off anti lag..off nlts, on antilag , and position 3 shuts both off.
@@TPGDSM I like your idea, but i think i'm going to try and keep the clutch and momentary switch + rocker rather than using the column controls. did you ever end up making kits?
So it got rid of nlts I’ve since moved to a steering wheel mounted nos button that I can press during shifts if I want to use nlts. Not the best solution. I’m sure if your small enough to get in there you could splice in a switch AND keep the stock switch functionality
I have a 1g dsm, and im new to everything, was wondering if you could Help me understand what ecm link does and how do I install it, just looking for some tips and information, I didn’t really see a lot on the forums
Ecmlink is a tuning tool. Better than that it mimics a wide range of control using the factory ecu. You want a bigger fuel pump and injectors? Ecmlink will let you dial it in, you want to run ethanol fuel? Ecmlink will do it, change the timing tables? Add nitrous? Turn off check engine lights for state inspection?.. you guessed it Ecmlink does it. Great tool made by Tom Dorris and his team. Kits run around $700-$1000 and in my opinion IT IS THE SINGLE BEST FIRST MODIFICATION YOU SHOULD DO TO YOUR CAR!. Not a bigger turbo or boost controller or blow off valve. Save up for link. Then you can safely maximize your set up any way you want to mod it. My advice is check out some more vids I have posted on it, search here for “SCOTT LAIRD” and become a member on dsmtuners.com and use the search function to read some more about it. If you get it and need help setting it up reach out to me👍

Yes. The way I installed my Switch made it so no lift to shift. No longer works. But you can splice your switch in to the black with red stripe wire coming out of the clutch switch and the other side of the push button switch goes to the orange wire to the ECU and you can interrupt the signal. Essentially making the clutch switch work the same as the push button switch. It's just too tight of a space for me to climb up under at the time, but I may bring it back in the future 🤔
Yeah something wrong everything I did is right but there is something different so my pin 91 is black with red strip but what your saying is black so I’m confused
@@chrisponce8504 I used a 2 wire switch, put two female spades on the ends, unplugged the stock clutch switch (not the clutch safety switch the one above it) and plugged in the wire ends to the clutch switch. This is of course after adding the ecmlink nlts wire to the cruise control ecu
Unplug your clutch switch, pick up a two-wire momentary switch from a parts store and two female spade connectors. Connectors one to each end of the new push button, plug the wire ends into the harness side of the clutch switch. Switch.
