it is like one of those moments, especially in late afternoon or evening, when it feels like everything is still, and you can almost feel the earth moving. at first i didn't know how to hear the unusual sounds, but the more i listen, the more they seem like they belong and it is all beautiful, and mystical. thank you very much i wish everyone could hear this.
You sir, are an extremely talented musician!! I can't stop listening to your videos. I only request that you might think about making a follow up video for the epic of gilgamesh. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
"Having fun with the Fujara" xD Oh, anyone who is Polish would laugh out loud at this title. It literally blows. Great performance from Peter, still. As usual.
I once met a street musician in Croatia, Zadar, with a Fujara and some other whistles without any holes, just a hollow wooden pipe (never got the name), he thought me the basic, most fascinating and requires a lot of skill. Cheers
oh man, your channel is amazing and delightfully weird. Rare instruments with cool sounds run through electronic processing and played in front of interesting backgrounds. I love it.
This has to be one of the instruments in Andreas Vollenweider's music. It has always sounded ethereal, and I never knew how some of the sounds were produced, but I'm certain this must be one of the instruments he uses.
Hi Pete, greetings from a fujara player from Germany! I like your fresh and creative approach to the instrument (and your written explanation(s). Marco Trochelmann
Mr. Pringle, you, sir, are an inspiration. I've just discovered you and you are as talented as it gets. God bless. Your song, "the Wanderer?" Haunting in the absolute best way. Much love and respect. God bless.
Wow... I'm a Tenor (sax) player and Maaaaan that guy can make that stubborn piece of wood shift! (gave a like, cuz I'm shocked there are no likes... What's that about! :-) I guess everybody is far too mesmerized to do the "Like" thang... Thanks for uploading this !!! Peace..
Thank you mister! You are an amazing musician. I've just stumbled upon one of your videos. I thought: What a beauty! But now. When I'm hearing my national fujara sounding like this is just unbelieavable. Thank you. Bless you. 💗
A thing I´ve learnt from a Slovakian fujara player (from a video) is that if you want to ask someone to play fujara, it is better to say, TELL ME, not PLAY. Because it´s like you tell someone straight from your soul, by the sound.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your beautiful musical soul with us. I thoroughly enjoy your posts. Beautiful music, beautiful instruments beautifully played and sung. I share your music on my Facebook page so others can enjoy it as well.
I'm always stirred when hearing such beautiful and yet intuitively played harmonies. It makes listening to it an experience-it's not simply music. One thing... would love to hear you play it for a little longer. Smile
Hi Peter this is a fabulous sounding futujara in PVC would you please share the construction information, I have built many PVC instruments of the type Nicolas Bras makes and love them. Recently I have started a simple low cost instrument creating project and this would be a great addition.
Don't undercut yourself mate, that is good playing, both beautiful in sound and well done on making your own. I just purchased a pvc fujara too last week, I am a didgeridoo player but the Fujara is so much fun to play that I want to try a wooden one to feel the difference in play, you can play nice on a pvc didge but the depth of sound is far better on a traditional wooden didge. Great work my man 👏 Also where is the church you are playing in "Stunning"
Nice, but it would be nice to also mention the other drone effects you use on this video (that you seem to activate with your feet). Makes people curious ;)
Thank you, for this nice performance. But playing Fujara (shepherds pipe) in our country (I am from Slovakia) realy is more wild, dolorous or more yoyful, because this souds represents our wild, stormy and sometimes deeply sad Slovak soul. This instrument was the main music instrument of shepherds in the mountains of High ang Low Tatras. Look for example this : Fujara - Daniel Homola a Ľuboš Dubovský Fujara- sounds of Poľana Five Fujara Songs & Melodies from Slovakia But Mr. Peter Springle is master of ancient songs, for me : his The Egyptian ancient love song is one of the best...
As a Slovakian myself I love his grasp of the instrument. It's different than how our musicians play it and honestly, I find it refreshing. Slovakian Fujara players tend to replicate the same traditional sound over and over again, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but It's nice to see it being done differently.
@ Peter Pringle .. Please write "fuyara" instead of "fujara" because english speakers could pronounce it wrong. Thank you for your work. You are enriching our civilisations.
You piece of shit should watch your fingers! It is not HIS language and I can correct people if they are making a potential mistake. It is likely, that he is pronouncing it "foodzhara". So go to hell, piggy boy!
That's the tone!!! That overtone is the sound of ancient and wild Central Europe.
FallaciousScotsman yes!
It sounds like a flute had a baby with a didgeridoo
Yeah I agree, perfect description

Azeez Alkalidy, I want that also. I want to hear the whole story performed by Peter.
Agreed!
Me Too....please...
Luckily he did after all these years

LOL, I know it's been 2 yrs but i'm laughing now.
hahahah true
@@GoreTheSummoner Will anybody dare to translate this title for English-speaking users? :D (I won't)

I think you mean "koncovka" ... it is well known in Slovakia, just like fujara
I already see a whole film occurring before my eyes when I hear it
Mr. Pringle
I love your work!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing with us :)
Mystical, contemplative, and beautiful.

Fujara national soul Slovakia, you super music work..,thank you!
Amazing as always. Thanks Peter.

I love your performances. and thank you for teaching your audience about the instruments you play.

Best sounding bong ever! As always amazing!!!
Omg love this so much. Thank you - have to go to Slovakia ...
Took me to Goosebumps city :) What a lovely sounding thing, and a beautifully composed and performed piece.
I've never heard of this instrument before, but I already love it!

Always a pleasure. Thank you.
I am pretty familiar with this sound but never knew what instrument made it.

An excellent video! Thanks for sharing and thanks for shining a light on this wonderful instrument.
This squeezed some very healing tears out of me. Thank you for what you do.
Playing a new instrument and using your feet at the same time, I cant even talk and type at the same time...thanks for the performance. Charles
sounds peaceful and mysterious !
Thank you mister!

AMAZING STUFF !! IT'S MESMERIZING 😮
Bravo! Thank you. That’s fantastic.
Sounds like a mix between a middle eastern sound with scottish scales. We got some nice culture in Europe.

Thank you Peter so very very beautiful..it's like it's not of this world but to much better world of sounds and music...
Amazing! Thanks for that!
This guy is like Tom Waits if Tom had been raised in a good neighborhood, smoked weed instead of cigarettes and drank fine wine instead of whiskey.
Ok - "just a little fun" and "rank amateur" are not the words, i have in mind right now :) Thanks!
That looks like so much fun to play
I'm always stirred when hearing such beautiful and yet intuitively played harmonies. It makes listening to it an experience-it's not simply music. One thing... would love to hear you play it for a little longer. Smile
Amazingly beautiful, thank you for sharing :)
Where is this? Looks like orthodox cathedral from Sibiu

Incredible.

Why the background with the Orthodox cathedral from Sibiu?
You are a legend
You should come to the Oregon symphony at the arlene schnitzer hall.
music of an elephant , i mean that as a compliment.
Do you have any advice for making one like you did? Instructions somewhere? It sounds amazing!
I know only of this video documenting the whole process. It's in Slovak language though. ruclips.net/video/EumCz0YqPZY/видео.html
Nice, but it would be nice to also mention the other drone effects you use on this video (that you seem to activate with your feet). Makes people curious ;)
I enjoyed, thanks :)
wow your are a realy good artist peter
Any chance we could get the instructions you used to make yours?
I am half Slova. Fujara comes from my "Vaterland" :-)
power packed and then some
because of your inspiration i got one fujara - what did you use for drone and reverb i wonder? awesome videos and music you do
Where was this filmed? Does anybody know?
fascinating sound. Any plans of the instrument on the web?
maybe this would help (in Slovak, but drawings are clear): www.maclab.sk/clanky/pvc_fujara.php
Thanks
Sublime xxx
The name is really close to the Hungarian "furulya" which is basically the recorder instrument. But this one is much cooler.
The Horizon Zero Dawn feels !!
What composition/piece is this?

I think I hear this instrument in every single movie Mel Gibson ever made and I know why. Its EPIC
Wow
This one is so moving to me
you are so cool
It's a very nice. Getting didgeridoo vibes.
Wow Silithus ost

Vova C excuse me, he has the right to spell it any way he wants. Keep your entitled comments to yourself

You two are both an embarrassment to the entire purpose of this work
that plastic pipe is awkward xdD :D :D
yo DUDE UR SO FUCKING COOL
Flidgeridoo (flute + didgeridoo)
it's a digiridoo with a cute little mouth piece :D
sounds a little like american indigenous flutes
It sounds almost reminiscent of a didgeridoo at some points
Any Zero Horizon Dawn players in the room?
