THE PIPE CAME OFF ALL BY ITSELF THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE CARBON MONOXIDE IS PUMPING INTO THE BASEMENT .. THIS HOT WATER TANK WAS PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED
It failed because the end was never chamfered and essentially the PVC cement was pushed into the next fitting. Had someone been seriously injured the individual(s) would have been fined and subject to a loss of license.
This failed because of 2 reasons. 1-the sticker. They should have flipped the pipe to make a cut from the other end, not having to even touch the sticker at all. 2-the pipe appears to be not long enough and the glue that did set shows the pipe was not in deep enough. They should have cut a new pipe, or at the very least, held it in place at the proper depth, longer to allow it to set. This fail has zero to do with primer, the application of primer is only required when installing at temperatures below 0° Celsius.
If you see the pipe end where the solvent is missing it goes to show for one primer was not used and the pipe was never fully engaged, looks like someone was possibly rushing or inexperienced

Is beacause they didn’t put primer on the pipes and fittings and the pipes aren’t bury so the pipe push the glue away
