Good God, I cannot believe I sat for over one and a half hours watching this tutorial. And let me tell you, it was worth Every Minute! Now That's what I call a step-by-step tutorial.. HUGE thumbs Up! 👍😄
CSLdesigns I even got my mother to watch some of your tutorials with me. And you don't need me to tell you that you're very gifted but here it goes; you're very gifted! You're welcome :)
This is a long video, but PERFECTLY done, with detailed instructions, ans soooo much better than what some people do, just show a bit in real time, then do time lapse. I plan to follow your video to make this beautiful tree of life! Thank you! 😘
After weeks of contemplating different Tree of Life pictures and videos, I finally found the right design I've been looking for. Your tutorial has all the elements from various other pieces I've considered combined into one. I have finally started my first piece. I wanted to thank you for posting it & sharing your ideas. I'm now running late for my friends birthday, but I'm glad I waited until I found your video as it has all the qualities I was looking for. It's perfect! Thank you. You've done a great job!
I want to thank you for your beautifully done tutorials. I have learned so much from you. You explain the steps clearly and show how to do exactly what you describe. I am a visual learner so your tutorials are perfect for me. I am a much better jewelry raftertist than I was and all thanks to you.
Oh my goodness, lol. Do you like my new word that my tablet just made up? I was trying to say "crafter" and "artist," but my tablet decided we needed a whole new word...~giggles~....
I'm so glad I found these videos. You are so very good at your explanations and the camera work is flawless. You are medicine during a world wide pandemic! Thank you
These are lovely! Ironically, while contemplating making one with added features, I drew a tire swing and single seat swing on a picture of a tree of life I made and now I notice you've made one here with a swing. 👍😃
Really lovely work! I am a wire worker and I have been practicing wire weaving recently and I have always wanted to make a tree of life. This one has inspired me to make one tonight. Great instructions. Thank you for sharing!
You are a very good teacher.... i am very grateful to have found your link... Thank you for sharing.. it has made it so much easier for me to understand how to work with wire.
Your very detailed instruction and excellent video were much appreciated. I was very intrigued and watched every minute. I Can't wait to try some of your wrapping techniques in a wall hanging project. The use of the two wires for frame turned out beautifully.
You are so talented! I'm currently making a tree of life for my sister and I'm following your video because you make it so clear and because its beautiful! I'm no where near as talented as you though! Thanks for taking the time for sharing this video!
I absolutely love this tutorial. I've seen several for the tree of life and this is by far my favorite. Great work, great explanation, great video editing. Thank you!
😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏Очень красиво, ювелирная и аккуратная работа. Мастер класс такой подробный, жаль только, что не на русском языке. Кулоны великолепные!😍Спасибо вам огромное❤🌹
Absolutely fabulous my little dogs are so fed up with me i have ignored for them for all this time but was worth every minute fabulous absolutely fabulous.x
You are a wonderful teacher! I've seen several of your tutorials & have enjoyed each one. Your instructions are very clear, your tips are appreciated, and your refraining from trying to entertain and concentrating on teaching a skill is really appreciated. I saw this last night on my IPad and then lost it - had to hunt a couple of hours to find it again! Do you have just one site where you post your tutorials? Or, how do I EASILY find them? I like it that you post a FINISHED picture at the beginning of the video because I can sometime find you by your pictures. Thanks for your assistance!
What a great piece! Thank you so much for sharing your work, I got so inspired and I am looking forward to trying to make it. - You are a great artist and an excellent tutor :-)
Wow thank you very much for your kind comment. It makes it all worth it when getting good feedback that people find it useful, cause I really think it's wonderful when we can all inspire each other in different ways. I'm glad you liked :-)
Your seasonal trees of life are gorgeous, and elegant. I like the intro for the tutorial. It gives us a sense of your work. I love the double hoop wire weaving! The tutorial is at such a lovely pace, and besides inspirational, easy to follow. Wondering what wire you are using? Silver plated? Or non-tarnishing artistic wire? I asked a similar question on another tutorial. Don't mean to be annoying, just trying to figure out the wire. I have never used this kind of wire, so am intrigued. I have done a number of trees of life--and seen countless videos--and am amazed at how different approaches there are--but yours makes sense to me. Thanks for being so generous of spirit in sharing what you know. And love your web site and blog!
maggiewired Thank you so much. You are very kind, and I really appreciate it. The wire I am using is silver plated copper wire. Don't worry, you're not annoying. I'm more than happy to answer questions :-)
This is the best tutorial for the tree of life I've seen. My only question is: How long do you make the wire for the branches? I'd hate to get close to the end and find out I don't have enough wire to finish.
I really like this tutorial - I've tried it and did pretty good until I got to the BAIL making - the video seems blurry and they yellow background does not help any! Would you please consider doing just a separate video on just the pretty BAIL? I would like to know how to do it the way you did. Mine was a mess and it was so TIGHT that it was truly difficult to get the wire through when trying to attach it - I actually broke my wire twice doing that portion! PLEASE a separate video on bail making only - maybe with a black background? THANKS so much - I really think you are a wonderful teacher.
+Ali Potter Thank you very much. The chips are quite small. A few mm by a few mm (can't remember exactly) and the final piece is about 7cm in diameter :-)
Really good tutorial but it would be awesome if you could list in the description box supplys and where you got them from ( where did you buy the stones from)?
lydmila N The diameter of the finished circle is about 7cm, but you can really make it whatever size you want it to be, and you can test it out as you go and then always weave a bit more if you want it a little larger. I hope that was helpful :-)
Thank's so mutch !! It's perfect the support (the round..Excuse me I'am french ) I don't undetdtand all the explications but your video is so good to take your habity So long
Hi Christen, I love your videos. I have few questions? Where you get your wire? I tried this and I ran in mine being very uneven. Could it be I am holding the left side to tight? Any tips on improving this would be great. Thank you Shannon
No problem :-) Where I get my wire they don't state a specific hardness, but I know that it is in the soft end of the scale as it is quite malleable ;-)
Awesome tutorial!!! I would like to make this tree of life using stainless steel wire. What gauges would I use? Is there a chart that converts soft metal gauges into harder metal gauges (if that makes sense)?
+CSLdesigns thanks how long do you weaved it to make your circle, I think mine is too big? I also did mine really thight, wondering if it is too tight thanks
+Claire Massicotte I think it was about 25cm, but I can't remember exactly as it was a long time ago, but you could make it smaller or bigger anyway depending how you like yours. Maybe take a length of wire or cord and then just roughly form a circle of the size you want with it and then you can measure the length to see how long you will need to weave, to achieve the size circle you want :-)
Dear CSLdesigns, thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial! 😃 What size do the Crystal chips have? Are they: 5 - 8 mm, or 6 - 12 mm? Warmest greets from Germany 😀
Hi there! I'm only at 5:31 and have a question. The thicker wire looks like it is a square wire at this point. Is that correct? If so, is it still from JewelleryMaker and e-coated copper? Thanks, and best regards!
+D Houck No it is all round wire I am using in this. It is probably just the lighting playing tricks or something. If I use square wire at any point I'll make sure to mention it :-)
I am in the process of making these (waiting on the rest of my chips in the mail) but my first one turned out good, not as great as yours (wish you could see mine) but amazing. and my friends love it
To Shawna kemba. I can't seem to reply straight to you so I hope you get this. Thank you very much. I do have an Etsy shop and I will be posting some more items in it over the next period of time. The link is in the description box :-)
Hello, this tutorial is awesome, you are my inspiration, I have a question, you have a video for the wire woven and chain tree of life pendant tutorial, but I don't find it, it says it is private, do you have it to sell for? I hope you will put it here again, I heard it is awesome too, please make it public. Thank you so much, you are an incredible artist!!
Hello again...... Rebecca here. :-) I was wondering where you purchased your bead chips? I have searched my local stores and no one carries them small enough for this project. Do you have an online source you use? I am ready to make this lovely piece, but no chips! lol I was considering seed beads, but don't think it will give me the same look. Thank you for your help.
peaches5712 I have got them from a few different places. But I would recommend looking on online jewellery making supply shops, and also places like Etsy and ebay, you should be able to find them. I hope that helped :-)
What a fantastic tutorial. I watched the entire video and want to say thank you for sharing. Is there a particular brand of fine wire you find to be easier to manipulate without breaking or are they all the same? You always make things look so easy. Btw I am a pen fanatic and was wondering what type of pen that u use . Looks very cool. Lol thanks again.
Paula Binkley Thank you very much. I am using copper wire that is then coated in Sterling silver and then has an e-coating which makes it hypo-allergenic and helps prevent tarnishing. I prefer to work with softer wire. Hehe, I have always had a thing for pens as well. Not quite sure why. It is a frixion pen. It's a pen that you can actually erase. I love them. I don't really use anything else since I discovered them years ago :-P
I want to make this piece, but I'm new to jewelry making. Can you tell me more about the type of wire you use? On other tutorials I have heard ladies use words like "dead soft" and "silver-filled." I'm clueless about wire in general. I want to know the right type to get to make beautiful pieces that will that and have minimal tarnishing issues. Can you help? Thank you for sharing these wonderful videos. I hope I can recreate your beautiful pieces. -Best regards-
I'll certainly try and help :-) Yes there are quite a few different types of wire and it can seem a little confusing. There are categories like 'dead soft', 'hard' and more in between, and they all have their different uses for what they are best for. The main thing I would say it can give an indication of is how malleable and easy it will be to work with. When you are just starting out I would probably suggest going for the softer range of wires until you get more used to working with wire as the hard ones can be more difficult when you're not used to it. Regarding tarnishing it is really most a matter of trial and error. All metal will tarnish eventually, but you can get wires that are purposely made to last longer before tarnishing. They will then have different coatings on them to prevent the tarnishing. The wire that I use is a copper based wire that is then coated in a layer of sterling silver and then a colour if it is a coloured wire, and then it has an e-coating to make it hypo-allergenic and help prevent tarnishing. But if your pieces do tarnish eventually, there are things you can do to clean them. I hope that was just a little helpful, and I would love to know how you get on with it
Josephine Rock Thank you. I sell mine for £35 each and that's using silver plated copper and genuine gemstones. So the price would also depend on the materials. I.e. if you are using sterling silver the price would be substantially higher. I hope that helped :-)
They don't always have it in stock, so it's just a matter of checking back every now and then. And also have a look at the live show if you get a chance :-)
Good God, I cannot believe I sat for over one and a half hours watching this tutorial. And let me tell you, it was worth Every Minute!

Very nicer work. tell us from where can we get this stuff. thanks
Excellent tutorial ... thank you. x
What a fabulous tutorial. Can I enquire as to how large the agate chips are roughly and how large the end piece is please?
+Ali Potter Thank you very much. The chips are quite small. A few mm by a few mm (can't remember exactly) and the final piece is about 7cm in diameter :-)
You are so talanted and I love this video because you explained everything so good! Thanks for this upload I'm gonna try this myself! :-)
MissHoneybunny85 Thank you so much. You are very kind :-)
Really good tutorial but it would be awesome if you could list in the description box supplys and where you got them from ( where did you buy the stones from)?

Hi again! 🙂
Approximately how many crystal strands/chips did you use?
Thank's so mutch !! It's perfect the support (the round..Excuse me I'am french ) I don't undetdtand all the explications but your video is so good to take your habity So long
Thank you for the tutorial.

Very wonderful artist
Amal Ali Thank you very much :-)
very, very, very good! thank you so much!
+hippy chick You're very welcome and thank you :-)
Hi Christen, I love your videos. I have few questions? Where you get your wire? I tried this and I ran in mine being very uneven. Could it be I am holding the left side to tight? Any tips on improving this would be great. Thank you
Shannon
Great tutorial!! You did a wonderful job explaining each step, I'm a newbie, but I think I can do this. :-)
peaches5712 Thank you very much. That's great. I'm sure you can ;-)
Hey thanks for getting back to me. I can't wait to get to the hobby shop. Do you remember what hardness you used for this piece?
No problem :-) Where I get my wire they don't state a specific hardness, but I know that it is in the soft end of the scale as it is quite malleable ;-)
Wonderful tutorial. I would love to do it in copper, but I cannot find 18ga copper wire that is hard enough for the wrap to slide.
Lovely! where do you get your mini chips? I can't seem to find any really small ones.
Wow! Do you have an etsy shop? If not, make one! I would buy every thing!
Awesome tutorial!!! I would like to make this tree of life using stainless steel wire. What gauges would I use? Is there a chart that converts soft metal gauges into harder metal gauges (if that makes sense)?
Beautiful
Are you using round, square, half-round, or half-square wire?
+CSLdesigns thanks
how long do you weaved it to make your circle, I think mine is too big?
I also did mine really thight, wondering if it is too tight
thanks
+Claire Massicotte I think it was about 25cm, but I can't remember exactly as it was a long time ago, but you could make it smaller or bigger anyway depending how you like yours. Maybe take a length of wire or cord and then just roughly form a circle of the size you want with it and then you can measure the length to see how long you will need to weave, to achieve the size circle you want :-)
Very pretty, how much do you leave to start weaving with the .4 mm, I heard 20cm that can't be, could you confirm for me. thank you
+Claire Massicotte Thank you. I left 20-30cm just so I would have enough to work with if I needed it :-)
Dear CSLdesigns,
thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial! 😃
What size do the Crystal chips have? Are they: 5 - 8 mm, or 6 - 12 mm?
Warmest greets from Germany 😀
if you want the truck to be thick how you do that?
very nice!!!
Would anyone know where there are instructions for making this type of bail? THANKS!
What sizes are you using?
Hi there! I'm only at 5:31 and have a question. The thicker wire looks like it is a square wire at this point. Is that correct? If so, is it still from JewelleryMaker and e-coated copper? Thanks, and best regards!

What size are the gem stone chips?
Hello, this tutorial is awesome, you are my inspiration, I have a question, you have a video for the wire woven and chain tree of life pendant tutorial, but I don't find it, it says it is private, do you have it to sell for?
I hope you will put it here again, I heard it is awesome too, please make it public.

+Tina Lynn The orange stones for the autumn tree is agate chips :-)

How much would you sell one of those for? Great job!!
Josephine Rock Thank you. I sell mine for £35 each and that's using silver plated copper and genuine gemstones. So the price would also depend on the materials. I.e. if you are using sterling silver the price would be substantially higher. I hope that helped :-)
