He is using 26 or 27 gauge brass wire it is about 80cm (31.5") long, you need 36 pieces of wire. You group them in bundles of 3 and wrap them together. Then wrap all of the bundles together, shape and mount to a base. Add the color if you choose. The "hook is make out of a nail." All of this info is in the captions, but if you did not have them on you would not see them. You will need about 36 yds of 26 or 27 gauge wire to make this project. You could add crystals as you are starting the project as leaves. You could stagger the branches and allow more forks in the tree as you build. You could wrap the trunk in wire to have a smoother finish. This is a GREAT starter tree, he just needed a bit more information in the gauge and length of the wire.
@@Aetheros89 itsa bottle of Puff Paint and it can be purchased at Walmart or other craft stores. Its rubbery as it dries down. Neat for painting on clothing.
Thank you so much! My 29 yr old daughter was dx with PNH last year. She is very creative- she says no but she is- and I keep thinking of things I'd like her to make (especially for me, haha) when she unable to get out and do things.
Years ago my ex and I made copper wire trees by hand, no tools, thankfully he was strong and could twist the trunk and branches. I think he used pliers......... I thought they were beautiful, but my family were not thrilled. I dont think they understood how much work and love you put into something like this. We put moss and little stones at the bottom where the rock is to hide it a little bit.. They didnt appreicate them, we worked hard, I still feel sad about it all. I loved the copper trees, I had one thatI made for us, lost now since Ive moved a few times. :( Thank you for this video. .
I know exactly how you feel. It takes so much hard work and dedication but some people will never appreciate it, I’ve had to learn this and it caused me sadness but I get far more positives than negatives about my crafts now so I just focus on them rather than the others. Please don’t be sad, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if some can’t see that beauty then that’s their failing, not yours. As long as you are happy with your designs that’s all that matters. Keep crafting and keep smiling x
I always loved these trees… people generally don’t appreciate arts and crafts , it’s all fast fashion and plastic fantastic. Most people do not have it in them so they cannot see what you see. You shouldn’t have been disheartened by your family’s reaction..it didn’t mean they didn’t love you … I grew up with a very pragmatic mother who wouldn’t have any artistic sense . I had to go to schools who were totally opposite to my skills just because she wanted to kill those skills I had( drawing & painting ) I had to learn maths and physics day in day out 40 years after … I went back to my calling so I now do Interior design … Do what makes you happy and the rest will follow
Thanks for the video. It’s quite interesting, and definitely a smart idea with the drill speeding up the process! Definitely a lot faster than adding gemstones, and/or other ways that wire trees can be made. Looks quite simple, but beautiful. Cool idea on the red paint, also!
Thanks for the idea! I'm researching making an LED tree and this is brilliant. I'm going to use solid core sheathed wire and your twisted wire idea will make the v+ and gnd
David died unfortunately. He was my uncle. He got the covid vaccine and was healthy for the most part. But two months after the vaccine he caught covid and he had a bad reaction. The doctor said the vaccine caused covid to mutate inside him and it killed him in 4 days. It sucks ass I miss my uncle but yeah he made the tree. He made a whole bunch of them with the led lights. I might make a video a post it on my channel. Subscibe to me so you can see it man its great
With Karma & Luck being advertised every where, I must say yours is freggin' awesome and simple. A lot of work but damn the buggah is nice. Mahalo for sharing. Enjoyed watching the whole video.
Very very beautiful, you are a fine and smart artist. My hat is off to you. Thank you very kindly for sharing your art and skills. Great video skills too. 👍
4:26 There is a hole on the branch that isn't painted yet! (On the time i marked it's passing at the center of screen) But the tree at all is great! Awesome work!
This is how to make jump rings for chains too...I mean use a drill with a round or oval crochet hook or something (use eye protection and don't do it at high speed and above all don't do it at all if you aren't an adult and are going to blame me for any injuries. ..all I'm saying is that its how I make chains out of silver wire...you need to cut rings and hammer them for strength but if you don't know all this you really shouldn't be using a drill!)..this is a nice quick way that I use to make repetitive things quickly. ..not encouraging others lol!
As I have hard skin on my hands thers is no need of it for me. This is due to fact that I work with my hands every day in the workhop. Anyway if you have fine skin than it's good idea to také leather gloves on.

4:26 There is a hole on the branch that isn't painted yet! (On the time i marked it's passing at the center of screen)

How do you keep the red paint from dripping out of the leaf loops?
F the paint just glue crystals or rocks on them!
Belo trabalho , parabéns
Doesn't the spinning wire hurt your fingers? Some kind of protection like thick gloves seems like a good idea to me.
