I love their customer service, also noticed their tax is much lower than at other stores. Last time I paid only $.30 cents of taxes. I love using their cart connected to my amazon app. It's so easy to checkout too.
Yeah I feel like their prices are pretty reasonable!

Good bad or indifferent Amazon will be the inevitable end of every other stores selling anything. I’m not ranting, I have a prime membership, I have food delivered from pantry, fresh and market. I’ve read they accept ebt/snap now. I’m not mad at it just saying if you like Best Buy, or Target or the local grocery stores you might start preparing for their disappearance

Grocery Outlet is locally owned. Aldi is awesome too!

But what were the prices like? Better, worse, competitive?
Some items are more but some are less. I think it’s a tad on the higher side I prefer a regular market

I'm a faithful GO (Grocery Outlet) gal. I hit the one on Painter & Whittier Boulevard maybe once a week (I work in Uptown). When I'm visiting Mi Familia in La Habra, I'll pop in to the Beach & Whittier location. The closest one to my actual tiny town is in Avocado Heights. They're all the previous Fresh & Easy franchises.
I'm a bit apprehensive regarding these auto-scan places. And I've had nothing but bad experiences with Amazon; my account (that I only had briefly) was hacked and I had to freeze and change the card I had on file with them. A crappy process.
I may venture in just to check it out (plus it's on my route home, after I hit ARCO for gas and/or The 99). I'm old school, I still pay with cash.
Looking forward to your review of the pizza and maybe some other "fresh food" items, maybe a sandwitch or some sushi!

Sorry if I missed it, but how does the scanner on the cart know how much the produce is that you put in the cart?
Oh no worries. For produce there are little stickers with a code that you punch in. The bottom of the cart is a scale and it will charge you accordingly.

Very easy snd very boring LOL but yeah I should have. The issue was i shoot with my phone and needed my phone to sync up. Thx for watching

I placed my online order on Day 1. It was very easy. Loved it!!!
Work overnight in one location. We work hard to get product out for online orders
Wow that is the future. Just wonder if at the checkout it refuses certain items you bought. I would not buy Amazon stock.

All supermarkets needs monitors to help you fine your products. I am somewhat disabled and can’t stay on my feet long. You can rarely see someone to help you. None in my area yet.

I went and the only thing different was the baskets and how you use them. Put items in and it adds your items. You have to have the app. I didn’t think it was amazing. Prices were high. I’ll stick to my Aldi

Nope it’s a regular store
So it sounds like a shopper must have an Amazon Prime account in order to shop there then. Interesting. Good thing Whittier has other markets available for those who don't have an Amazon Prime account.

No. No Amazon Prime account required. Only if you want to use the cart that scans your items but anyone can shop there no special account needed.

@@MyWhittierTV We just came back from Amazon Fresh, and we had a positive experience. The cart it was like a unique novelty thing to use and very nice! My husband synched it to his account and we were ready to go! We perused around the isles there were a lot of people there tonight but I guess it is because everyone like me was coming in after work or just needed groceries for this weekend. We did some light shopping, found that some of the prices on items we normally buy are inexpensive we didn't buy a whole lot of everything just a light shopping night. We noticed a lot of popular brands disappear really fast but I guess it is a good thing to see that people have an interest. It was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. We liked it! But we won't give up on Vons and the other markets we enjoy buying from here in Whittier! Until next time! Peace! ✌🏼☮
