Answers always execution, which is usually the barrier for alot of new players trying to engage with games like these. And while it does have the downsides of being very predictable and limiting, like whats going on here post set 1, the limit of options lets players focus on the by-the-second decision making and option selecting which I think its super valuable for a player learning the ropes
Outside of the damage mallus, limited options is always going to be a problem. You can immediately react to buttons with a super and have a much easier time DPing but if your damage on said reaction super is hitting less than dee jay's machinegun upper on classic, you're in for an uphill battle regardless.
@@themur880 NOT HAPPENING... fighting games are learning what sports games like madden have learned over the last 4,5 years. CASUALS are were the money is, you have to cater to them and put the PROS on the back burner... waaay in the back. I bet modern control gets updated with better normals and combos in patches as the game progressive.. they might even add to it, something like L2/LT is another set of strings
@@NoCapJayy You can't add "better" normals because the problem with modern is losing entire normals in place of a simplified control scheme. At the point that you use L2 as a modifier to unlock missing controls you're now just playing a gimped version of classic, which defeats the entire point. And if you make the advantage big enough the pros switch to Modern and now we're in that screwy situation games have been to before where the new release was dumbed down enough for new blood and the same old pros win again anyways. Like Pokken, SC6 and DOA6.
Aint that strong, too many normals gone and some moves he did, especially in the first match should have killed and they didn't cause of the damage nerf modern players have to deal with. Modern players actually have to work harder and if they don't keep their foot on the gas, they can lose matches they were supposed to win
@@2Good2BeTrue45ken only loses 2 moves in modern. His main one being his crouch heavy kick sweep. But modern doesn't decrease his effectiveness at all.
Even though I enjoyed modern control, i found it very limited. As i noob as they call us 😅. I played in the open beta. And now I’m learning classic which for me seems better ! But I’m not a pro or a seasoned player, so I guess players will their own opinion!
Super cope bro. Modern controls help you execute moves easier at the cost of damage. The modern player still has to win neutral and open up the opponent just like everyone else.

Bruhhhh the strings is CRAZY!!
I miss Haitani’s Mokoto 😢
Does anyone know Saitoh’s button layout (if he’s playing on stick)?
The modern player has better fundamentals, the Classic one leaves itself too open for his own good, specially on low stances
Haitani just got lazy during this set. Can’t say I blame him.
What advantages and disadvantages do you see Modern Controls have? 🤔

Don’t jump vs Modern for sure. It’s like CVS EO again.
