Have the III and the Turbo models. Only ever flown the turbo models once, but I love having a T tail plane in the hanger. I am also a sucker for wheel pants.....sooooo.....really tempted to add this to my hanger.
Shame that they didn't put an updated transponder in. I understand that they were modelling a specific aircraft, but that'll need to updated very soon to comply with the law.
Nice to know this is here. I did my flight training and my final check flight for my PPL in a Piper Warrior II PA28A.
Great to see you coming out of hibernation to do this video - your reviews are always entertaining and valuable.
I agree that this could be called a study-level aeroplane. For me, 2 things are missing which would definitely put it into that category: A failures menu (I know you can pop circuit breakers, but that's not really the same thing); and a proper walkaround including aspects such as checking oil level, checking fuel (quantity and possible water content), physically checking flaps, control surfaces etc. (all the things you get in an A2A aircraft, basically).
I know you were quoting from JF's description of their Warrior II; however, in it they state that the oil door is animated; I think this must be a copy-and-paste error from their Arrows, as there is no animation of the engine cover and nothing relating to the oil door on the EFB. Also, you switched the avionics on by using the guarded emergency bus switch - the avionics master switch is to the left of that, hidden from the pilot's view by the right yoke mounting (pages 20 & 47 in the manual).
Good points rich!
Excellent review. 20 years ago I was having flying lessons in a Warrior. I had FS 2002 with the Warrior downloaded. It helped a lot netween lessons, certainly for procedures. However, I wish I had this flight sim and this aircraft back then. I'll add it to my 'to buy' list.
Always great to see ya have such good fun. I been super enjoying the Arrow III & IV. I so glad to have a GA aircraft at this level. I think the Arrows by JustFlight are about as close to study level currently capable with these types of home systems. Thanks for sharing, and glad ya took a short break from your hibernation :-)
Great to have you back again! I always enjoy your perspective on each aircraft and the detailed way that you review them always with a little fun thrown in and who can forget the amazing eye candy. Thanks!
Good to see you back. I recently bought the JF Turbo Arrow and I have literally fallen in love with it, so on that basis I’m pretty sure I’ll end up buying this one as well. JF seem to have got everything spot on with their Piper products. Also worth mentioning, the GTN 750 mod is compatible with it and it shows up as an option on the tablet when you select your GPS type.
JF do seem to concentrate on Piper alright!
I had a flight in a Warrior II yesterday where the top door latch didn't latch properly due to damage in the mechanism. Safe to say I was somewhat alarmed by the breeze coming in...
Ha haa! Cool!
Just a little note: the failures like running out of oil will only work when you set the little tick for "enabled" in the Maintenance box. It was disabled when you showed it. 13:06
P.S.: oh, and you didn't use the correct avionics switch. You used the emergency bus switch. The actual avionics switch is two switches over to the left, right at the base of the right yoke. You need to scoot over to the right to be able to see it and switch it on.
Very nice details, animations, and sounds I like the rugged look of the airframe and it’s great options for IPad, and old stack radios.
This is one on my wishlist for sure. (The only con to the whole aircraft that is the IPad, it’s a personal thing.)
Thanks for the great review here! Good on ya mate!
Its got detail alright! : )
I've flown old 1980s and new (at the time) 2000ish Piper Warrior. For the most part the aircraft is fairly accurate with some minor deviation in avionics setups and handling. Pretty great build by Just Flight. Same quality standard as the Arrow. If this isn't study level then not sure what is.
Great observation! thanks for commenting. : )
Naaice
very nice...I've flown the PA 28 in X-plane...glad it's in MSFS too
Very cool!
Happy days.......
Nice first look Grip!
Any checklists on this one?
How much does it cost?
I think it was around 20 Euros, but I'll have to look it up. Thanks for supporting the channel Brian!
would you mind sharing you MSFS settings?
4:08 btw the transponder buttons don't sound like that IRL.
Great video, i like that scenery👍
Thanks 👍
@@GripperSim Is this a mod or default? ...the scenery
I wonder about this as well... didn't find a mod by a quick googling...
Thanks for the excellent review! Would you mind sharing your controller sensitivity settings and what yoke and rudder pedals you use?
whats the difference between this and the just flight PA-28R Arrow III, plus the turbo version, I got those from just flight, and this looks like the same aircraft to me. I must be missing something.
I want study level stuff to come to Xbox T.T
The Airbus isn't far off. The smaller single engine aircraft from Asobo are as good as the real thing really. : )
Once we have particle effects and can have smoke trails, we can re-enact the gold finger scene where they spray fort nox. Obviously, you can be pussy galore 😂 (Yes I know they use cherokees...but until we get one in the sim)
I earned my private pilots license in this plane
I did my CPL in it. : )
Try Nemeth designs Yak trainer,I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll have a look Russell. : )
Auto fuel selector; NONAY NEVER, NEVER NO MORE!
