In this episode we will be getting rid of our old, crusty, two-spoke steering wheel and replacing it with a Lexus IS 300 steering wheel. The process is fairly straight forward.

Hell yea I seen your lost on Instagram amd inquired you for some information. Glad to see you actually made a vid showing how u did it
No problem, let me know if you have any questions!
Nice Atomic bomb edit.
Can you post a video on your seat swap?? I want to do the same kinda swap, but, not sure the kinda hardware I may need
What are the benefits of this?
Other than newer looking components.
Thanks
Will you be making a video showing what to do with the steering wheel control terminals we have to add, so that they will work properly with an aftermarket radio??? I'd would really love to see that. I have the same wheel from a corolla, but I plan on keeping CC and hopefully the steering button functions. Your vid helped me alot, ordered the is300 clock spring and the two terminals. Now just waiting on some free time to put it in properly since i kept the oem clock spring when I installed the wheel.
Great idea! We have a few videos in the pipeline, but we for sure will make a video on actually making those buttons functional!
@@YotaNation awesome I can’t wait to see them!!
@@YotaNation is the video still in the works?
This looks great. I wonder if an Altezza wheel would be as straight forward and would let you keep your Toyota branding?
It could work - we have not tried it though. If you are concerned about branding, we sell high quality TRD emblems to replace the Lexus emblem.

Saw you pin the harness but what did they even connect or Solder too
Anything you want to control with the buttons. In our case we hooked it up to our radio (there are wires for button input in the aftermarket radio harness).
What kinda seats you got in there?
Those are BMW 3 series sport 2010 seats fully adjustable and heated.
@@YotaNation Can you do a video of the seat swap including how you wired them?
The seats. Please elaborate on a video about the seats
🤩🤩🤩
Great vid. You say some Corolla and Rav4 airbags work. Does that mean you can fit the Corolla or Rav airbag/cover in the IS wheel? I'd rather have a Toyota logo than a Lexus logo on my steering wheel
Here's a solution for the Lexus emblem problem!

Do manual is300 wheels have 4 pin clock springs?
I think they may have 4 pin clock springs due to the lack of buttons.
@@YotaNation I guess I’ll found out if it works, just ordered one
Will the horn/bag still function properly if i omit the wiring you did? Still running oem radio so the use of the additional buttons doesnt concern me. Just wondering if i can simply plug n play with a 2002.
The two extra leads are just for the buttons to function.
@@YotaNation okay sweet thanks! Hoping y'all get those trd emblems for the wheel back in stock soon
7:59 😂😂😂
Did your horn work after doing this?
Yes, of course!
are the buttons functional with the new clockspring?
Yes they are!
what do you need the terminal repair wires for? Is that just for the optional radio controls
Yes!
Sorry but it looks ugli
Original 4runner steering wheel looks better
Thanks for the comment! Looks like you’re going to save yourself a lot of time by not doing this mod :)
