Damn good recipe. I made this with a couple personal modifications, and this turned out wonderfully. I used Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey. The glaze was carnalized amazingly from the heat and gave the spiral cut rings of the ham a beautiful look. Good job.
Hahahaha I am getting fatter bro, must be my new lens!!! hahaha Thanks for watching Johnny and ham is so dang good and even better the next day!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours bro!!! Glad to see you in the comments!!
Thanks Troy!! I really like ham for extra food during the Holidays!! Not my go to meal either but with some good buns this type of ham is great for lunch and dinner. Bonus breakfast is even better!!! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!!!

Thank you Tommy!! Ya I was thrilled how good this ham turned out!! Made some seriously awesome Ham & Egg breakfasts the next couple days as well!! Have a great weekend brother!
Jeff, you sure know how to make a beautiful ham brother! There were a few times after you opened the smoker to turn, or baste the ham and then turn back to the camera, that a song from the 1950's came instantly to mind. "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes", haha, also kinda reminded me of the cool me back in the 70's hahahaha. Great job brother, I would have loved to taste it!
Hahahaha that is so true Rus!!! ha ha Ya I got a video coming eventually and the tears are rolling down my checks from the smoky eye burn!!! hahaha I have a hard time turning down any bourbon ham!! That salty sweetness with a touch of bourbon is a match made in heaven for sure!! Thanks for watching brother and I hope you have an awesome weekend!! Plus enjoy your couple weeks off bro!!!
Mike it is so good and got just the right amount of stickiness!!! Goes great on some Hawaiian sweet rolls!!!! Thanks for watching bro and I hope your daughter got to see the seasoning part so she could get her dance moves on!! hahah Have a great weekend brother!!
Thanks Charley and my wife found that pineapple preserve at TJ Max!!!! hahaha Guess that is now my go to for preserves!!! hahaha Thanks for joining me today and I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season with your family and friends bro!!!
Hahahaha ya my wife actually found the pineapple preserve at TJ Max!?!?! Talk about a weird place to score an ingredient you been wanting to find for a while!!! Thanks for watching and have a fantastic weekend bro and glad you could join me during the premiere!!
Any recommendation for the ham? First cook I mean. Was it cooked in any particular way? I got the draw on the ham this year, wanna do something special and this definetly looks like it would be something special.
Going to make this tomorrow for the family, I couldn’t find pineapple preserves so I got apricot but not sure if that will work. I am going to try to make my own preserves but if that turns out like crap I’ll use the apricot. Ham looks excellent love the videos
@@DeadBrokeBBQ made it for the family and they LOVED it so much they are requesting it for Christmas. Thanks DB I appreciate your time making these videos for us BBQ beginners.
Man, I made this ham for Easter, and I added my own twist to it. I added about a Tbs. of maraschino cherry juice and about 6 finely chopped cherries. It was very tasty, but next time I think I will cut down on the sweetness just a tad. All in all I was happy with the results......
Beautiful. Can’t wait to get mine on my Pellet Pro controlled Grilla Grills Chimp on Christmas Day. Did you taste any beforehand to see if there were any changes with the smoke flavor after the double smoke?
There certainly is an added flavor Krash. I have done them in the oven and they do not match up to some good old rolling smoke for sure!! Double smoked is the way to go but I always use fruit woods typically and that just has that extra long kiss of taste!! Thanks for watching and have fun with your cook!! Let me know how it goes!!! Have a great weekend brother!!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ that’s great! I bought a charred peach bourbon glaze/sauce to put on near the end end. I tasted it, and the bourbon is there and a light sweet peach flavor. We’ll see how it comes out. 😀
Thank you Mike!! I agree New Years Ham sammies and some adult bevs is a perfect match hands down!!! Thanks for watching brother and I hope you have a wonder Holiday Season!!!
Thank you and it certainly is an awesome recipe! Nothing better than a salty ham covered with some bourbon sweetness!! Have a wonderful Holiday Season and I appreciate you watching!!
Lovely ham.. I like to smoke them without a glaze sometimes because I use the leftover ham in a few recipes that the glaze wouldn't really be helpful. 👍
Heck ya Kevin!! I have done them with out any glaze when I am doing scalloped potatoes!! That extra smoke is killer!!! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend bro!!
Hey Ricer! Lovin' all the videos so far! I got a couple questions for you - how hot does the smoker get on the outside? Smoke Daddy said it's double-walled but not insulated. Also, any concerns about durability with the sheet metal? It's supposed to be 18GA, which seems thin but maybe I'm concerned over nothing. Thanks man!
Thank you for watching!! It does not get very hot. Not like other smoker chambers. Yes it would be nice if it was insulated especially for me where I live but it still runs great even in below freezing temps!! This cooker feels solid and I do not see any issues with the 18GA steel. Compared to other pellet vertical's this is pretty dang good. Just do not throw a paver brick at it!!! ha ha Thanks for watching and I got more videos coming out on this cooker but I like to mix in a few of my other cookers so I don't get bored!! ha ha Have a happy Holiday Season!!
165, it is already cooked so you just got to run it up to be heated. I have done them as low as 150 before just so we can have some quick sandwiches and cut the rest and freeze the rest for breakfast. Thanks for watching!
Sure Frank I can certainly do one of those in the future!! I got a few planned things I got to crank out in the next couple months but I put this one on the list!! Have a great week and thanks for watching!!
Really love the way this looks and doing this today for Easter. Quick question, recipe calls for dark/robust molasses but the jar looks like grandma’s original. Could you clarify please?
Love the idea of doing a ham like this. Obviously ham and pineapple go together, but anyone have any other fruit preserves they is instead on the recipe? I'm actually allergic to pineapple
You will smell it some what so keep it out. Sometimes I do it without and bourbon and it is just as good!! No reason to roll the dice brother and thanks for watching!!
