great project. Love the loft setup. Looking to do something similar as a functional garage/workshop/party barn. You might look to add some wainscot paneling in the garage area.

Quite hard to get an original in that mint condition for a non ridiculous price.
Thank you I truly appreciate it, and yes ADD approved LOL! That's another reason I love having this space so much, it helps my brain feel at absolute peace whether I'm working or just relaxing in here. I wish everyone could have one, even if not to this extent, just a peaceful place to call their own! I don't have much experience with the 5.0, but I do have a 67 Ford GT500 being built and its getting a supercharged 5.0 Coyote, so check back with me in the Spring :) The Aluminator is an incredible engine, high revving and so capable. It lags a little bit way down low and I generally like a more responsive motor right out of the gate, but overall its incredible. I don't think you can go wrong with either. With respect to the 69, are you referring to my red 67 Camaro? I used to have a black 69 Camaro but sold that. My red 67 Camaro is a full protouring build that took nearly 4 years to complete, all the way down to bare metal. It was about a $250k undertaking which is why its so clean. Worth every penny though because its my favorite car I've ever owned right there with the GT40.
Hahaha I bet it is a great place to sit back and appreciate the calmness either when in need for some yourself time or with the family enjoying the kids! Still hopeful I’ll get to plan something similar in a near future, an extra ADD Mancave I can call mine! hahah glad I’m still young to build my life up. About the aluminator I checked their website a couple weeks ago and saw it almost doubled the price from the 5.0 to the 5.2 and I was thinking it might not be worth the extra bucks? But for sure I’ll stick around so you can let us know. About the lag you mention, is there a way around that or just the tiny con about this engine? We had considered a spiral staircase in the beginning but I preferred the look and use of a straight up and down 👍🏻 I should have just built a slightly bigger garage lol
Very cool garage man! I just finished building out out our house last year on our 5 acres, trying to figure out where Pole Barn/Pool House for future pool may or may not go and what it might look like!
Dont change to ductwork. It looks like an eairly 1900s steam ship. I like it better then a big long tube also. Just need high presure blowers. With the bigass fan it will blend the heat and cool. Theres a habbatat for humanity here with one of them in a big wharehouse in the summer when its 90 outside the fam alone helps lower the temperature enough you can live with the fact its not ac.

I actually didn't have any plans. How I'm zoned we only needed a zoning permit as this is a utility building. My owner's rep for all of my large commercial developments is a GC, so he worked with our subs and engineers to build it.
Oh man I'm so sorry I completely missed responding to this. 9x10 storage room and 6x10 bathroom. If you're concerned about storage at all, I would go bigger. The bathroom is the perfect size for a sink, vanity and a toilet with room to move around.
I like the 12ft wall height, even though it's kinda wasted with 8ft tall garage doors. Then again, if all you have are strictly cars, you don't need taller doors like someone would for trucks or RVs or other stuff. If it were me, I feel like I'd go 40x60 or so with three 10x10 garage doors, a single 2-post lift for actual work, and then two to three 4-post lifts for storage and display. Entertainment areas/office/loft would be 20ft of the width of the building instead of your 15. The whole far wall on the opposite side to the loft area would be tools and work benches. Well, that's the theory, anyway.
This sounds like an incredible garage building! For my purposes this is all I needed. I don't have an RV and I have another place on my property to store my large enclosed tractor and trailers. The purpose of this garage was solely to serve as a hang out / mancave and home office overlooking my car collection. I came from nothing and built up to what I have, so it inspires me when I can look down over the cars :)
Not to be nosy, what did something like this building cost to build? Please comment back, thank you. It is gorgeous, you have a lot of nice, good things, nice touch.

What is the size of the footprint? I’m building one for 8-10 cars no lifts, and yours looks like it’s a realistic size that doesn’t look like a warehouse…
36 x 60. If I could do it over I'd probably go at least 40' instead of 36' deep. The ceiling height is 25 ft at the peak, 13 ft wall height with an 8 12 pitch roof. The loft space is 15 ft from the sidewall and the full 36 ft deep. The stairs come off the wall about 4.5'. If you're going to try to do 10 cars without lifts, I'd at least go 40x72, and in reality, go deeper so you have plenty of room to walk around the cars. Can't wait to see what you do!

Hey Kirk! Thanks bud, I truly appreciate it. Yep, that's my Daytona. Its an incredible car and the only reason I decided to sell it is because I've got a new Daytona going into production in February. And that 427 is a beast!!! I hope you enjoy it and I'm looking forward to meeting you in person one of these days!

Hey Kirk I sent you a message via Facebook messenger - at least I believe its your page. Wasn't sure of how else to get a hold of you. If you received it, shoot me back a message. Thanks!
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very cool space. But I just feel like a garage doesn’t quite feel like a garage if it’s doesn’t have lifts and giant stacks of tool boxes and stuff like that. This is more like a…..a house with show floor. Everyone has a different preference. I really do like that little entertainment area though. Very cozy looking.
Beautiful space for your cars and family you have created here. Obviously at 60×36, some of that width is taken up by the hangout space. How wide is the garage before it transitions to the stairs/hangout space? Just curious how much that box is where 9 cars would hypothetically fit. Beautiful space! So admirable to repurpose old wood and a clearly beautiful oak tree!
If I were to do it again I would have gone 48x72. It would have allowed for a little more space between cars when its full, and a much larger storage room. Currently my loft area and theater room are 15' (so 15x36 useable area) off the side wall, and those spaces are absolutely perfect in size. I wouldn't really change a thing about that. The 9th car is a tough one though as I'd have to shift the couch over slightly then the room would start feeling cramped. I think I currently only have 8 fun/collector cars, and to be honest its too many to take care of as it stands now and I think the perfect number of cars is around 5, but if I did go above 8 I would probably just add a lift.
@@VINGIGGSGarage Thanks so much for your prompt response! That really allows me to put the space into perspective. Always have to factor in the different opening widths of car doors. The barn garage has great attention to detail, though, and also seems like a fun and exciting space for your kiddos to get to spend time hanging with their dad as they grow up!
Love your space. Designing mine now. So the actual garage space is 36’x45’ and you can fit 8 cars with no lifts and it’s comfortable. That would be 4 rows with 2 cars end to end. 11.25’ for each lane. Are your dimensions of 36’x45’ and 60’ overall interior dimensions or exterior? Thx for advice.

Thanks! The loft/entertainment area is 15' off the wall, and the stairs come out about 5' I think.
@@VINGIGGSGarage So why don't you have any lifts?
