Watchers on the Wall and Blackwater are cinematic masterpieces that I wished the series was able to reach again but unfortunately failed to meet to that standard in the last few seasons.
The thing that’s so great about Blackwater is that a lot of the best stuff is away from the battle. Cersei’s interaction with Sansa is great and Lena Headey’s acting is terrific. There’s other good stuff between Tyrion/Varys and Bronn/Hound. Unlike Battle of the Bastards, which is a visual masterpiece but the writing is levels below that of Blackwater (and seasons 1-4 in general)
@@phantomguy1237 pure plot armour yes, but if you look at it superstitiously then maybe Jon was never meant to die according to the light gods. You know?
I understand what you're saying, but him saying that he never cared for the people of Kings Landing even though his entire arc is based off that is S tier writing too XD
Grenn and the Boys vs Mag the Mighty is such an underrated scene. I never see it mentioned when people rank the best scenes! And it also gives us an amazing exchange between Jon and Mance: “He was a King, the last of his line that stretched back thousands of years.” “Grenn came from a farm.”
The Sansa and Cersei scenes in Blackwater are some of my all time top scenes. Great parallels between the men fighting their war outside and Cersei explaining her own use of feminine strength.
I agree! If anything, that was my favorite part of the episode (it’s been a minute since I’ve watched it, so I can’t fully say for sure). I loved the dialogue between Cersei and Sansa.
Honestly saying these scenes needed to be cut down is one of his worst takes imo. The battle is fine but true character development was happening in the Sansa-Cersei scenes. This scene should have been pivotal to Sansa’s arc (if the show had handled her properly in season 7). She was supposed to learn the game with skill on the level of Littlefinger and these scenes were her first lessons. Plus it was proof that Cersei felt like she could very much relate to Sansa rather than hating her. Sansa was just a tool to Cersei half the time, but there were flashes of empathy because she could see herself in Sansa.
They were awesome indeed. They gave the audience a breather to the ever building battle and the acting and dialogue was great. I also loved the the vignettes before the battle. They were perfect.
Mountain and the Viper is my favorite episode by far my favorite episode in the entire series. Dany's reaction to Jorah being a spy, Theon's tragic dissociation at Moat Cailin, Sansa taking her first steps to becoming manipulative and lying in the Eerie to protect Littlefinger, and of course, the perfectly done subversion of the David and Goliath trope, where Oberyn's arc ends in a horrifically beautiful way in his duel against Ser Gregor. I love every second of that episode, but that's my extremely subjective take.
That fight scene was the best in the whole series. Oberyn Martell was a warrior's warrior. If he had just a bit more humility, he would have left as the definitive winner and had been both avenged and alive. I hate watching him taunting the downed Mountain, knowing what that carelessness would cost him. May all of us learn from that scene a lesson on humility and precaution.
I gotta say for #9, when you said "Jaime big-dicking Loras" at the wedding, let's be real: Loras easily got the best of that exchange with his line as he walked away. Loras low-key had some great moments
I have to put 6x10 because I loved how they handled the beginning of the episode. The tension building up, the realization that something's definitely off, and the viewers' realization that whatever's about to happen, Cersei's already won. Pycelle getting murdered, Margaery trying to get everyone out because she's the only one who knows Cersei's up to something, and then Lancel being the first victim of the wildfire before the Sept of Baelor is destroyed. Cersei's response to Tommen's death in this episode and 7x1 show how far gone she is at this point. Also Arya killed Walder Frey, another one of my favorite scenes, and Daenerys finally set sail for Westeros after years of building up her army and liberating Slaver's Bay. I have to go with 3x9 as a close second because the Red Wedding was done so well in the show. The Rains of Castamere starts playing and Catelyn is the first to realize something's off before shit starts going horribly wrong, and it's one of those scenes you have to rewatch after the first time because out of nowhere, Robb and Catelyn have just been murdered. Robb is another character they were starting to build up as like a hero, and even though Ned Stark died two seasons before, despite Robb's mistakes, it felt like he was safe and if anything, he would die in battle.
For me the first 10mins of that episode are the best 10min in the whole series for me. One of the best usage of music in the history of television series!
Omg thank you!! ! The s6 finale is definitely in my top 3 if not my favorite episodes. The build up to the sept exploding as the different instruments slowly add in until it’s a full orchestra. And Danny finally setting sail always gives me chills. But the scene that gets me is in Winterfel when Liana rips into the northern lords and names John king in the north. Freaking chills!!! Sure the episode had some weak scenes, but I still love it.
Everyone seems to be forgetting The Climb (306). IMO this has the 2 best dialogue scenes in the whole show: Littlefinger's "chaos is a ladder" with Varys, and (the best scene) Tywin and Olenna matching wits negotiating Loris and Cersei's marriage. Plus the actual climb and kiss atop the wall, Joffrey killing Ros, Tyrion telling Sansa they are getting married in front of Shae, and a great character development torture scene for Ramsay. An hour of brilliance.
Yes, but which episode will it kick out? The Wolf and the Lion is supercut's 10th best episode and even that episode is just better. I do think that The Climb has a place in the top 15 definitely though.
the time in which we inhabit this world is so limited, and so unforgiving that It would be my honor to offer you a fresh start, and an opportunity to save your soul. the man who saved my life Is ruler over both land and sea. King over sky and Worm, and great beyond anything mankind has ever accomplished. today is a new day, let it be a new start for you with the Almighty Jesus Christ. God awaits you✝️
The Rains of Castamere is great because it shows the fallout of the Red Wedding beyond the keep, and you see Robb's army being slaughtered. There's a moment where Grey Wind is killed that Arya sees and it's always heartbreaking.
Without Blackwater, we never would've gotten the increasing budget for each Season. On one hand, we got The Battle of Castle Black, Battle Beneath-The-Wall, and Hardhome sequences which were all amazing. On the downside, the show became too action oriented and we got the abysmal Battle of The Bastards, Battle of Beyond-The-Wall, Battle of Winterfell, and Battle of King's Landing. Damn tragedy that D&D went for spectacle rather than good tactics.
My thoughts exactly. With each season we got more budget and less tites, which theoretically is a good thing, but on practice writing is always first and foremost priority
@@mrtom2854 It was dumb. Jon was dumb, Sansa was dumb, everyone was dumb. Jon knew better than to charge the field alone, Sansa knew better than to hold back that another force was coming, even Ramsey, insane as he was, knew better than to waste so many troops in a grindfest; we saw him execute a fine cavalry charge and encircling attack against Stannis. It could have been great. Sansa admits that she contacted the Vale and got word back that they're on their way, tells Jon what's up with Littlefinger, and they meet the Vale forces and have process in their own ways that they have to ally with this slime to retake their home. Then do the attack, have the tragedy of Rickon but hold firm, then soldier forward and hold until the Vale executes a suprise attack as the Boltons commit and wipe them out, while Jon finally loses it and charges through the fray to catch the fleeing Ramsey, finally the fox being chased. But Sansa acts as the master to Jon's hound and claims the right to put an end to Ramsey, and the title of Lady of Winterfell, cutting half the "I don't want it" BS in the cradle. And that's just one vision. There's any number of ways it could have been executed better, and avoided groundwork for so many of the annoyances of seasons 7 and 8, like Littlefinger skulking around biding time until they kill him.
Just wanted to add about Blackwater, the scene where Stannis’ fleet get destroyed with the wildfire, you see the contrast in reactions between the Hound, Tyrion, the Pyromancer, and Joffrey. Joffrey smiling gleefully while the Hound stares in horror is an amazing shot.
My tope ten 10: Hardhome 9: First of his name 8: Baelor 7: The Mockingbird 6: The walk of punishment 5: kissed by fire 4: the laws of gods and men 3: blackwater 2: the rains of castamere 1: the watchers on the wall Honorable mentions: Lord snow Cripples, bastards and broken things The ghost of harrenhal And now his watch has ended
I just wanna say thank you for stil making GoT content! I just started watching it last year and now that I finished the show I’m just really sad that I missed out on all the conversations and media around GoT so thank you so much for still making it!!
Battle of the Bastards is more than likely my favorite episode especially in terms of rewatchability. I just love that entire episode and that is my favorite battle sequence in any film/television.
@@Al-ji4gd yeah that is just blind hate. What do you mean with it was not good shot. Also come on. It is not like blackwater bay had a better tactical plan than Battle of Bastards
@@reyjr2460 Actually, what you people have is blind love. First of all, yes it did lol. Second of all, Blackwater actually had good writing since it was written for TV by George himself. BOTB was written by two malcontents who couldn't continue to adapt good source material and ended up winging it.
I swear soo many people are loving Elden Ring and truly for me I dont see the appeal in it I appreciate GRR Martin being part of the lore around Elden Ring tho
This list is interesting and very accurate. Also I like the fact that there's no episodes after season 4. S1-S4 was the peak of Game of Thrones. Especially, after season 6 started, GoT relied fully on individual scenes rather than the story, which resulted in inconsistency
@@chscelebrity8325 Lol winds of winter is clearly the most well rated ep in the show, no EP in GoT had that much consistency of a mixture of thrill, suspense and twists than winds of winter, but battle of the bastards is undoubtedly overrated
Mark Addy is the reason Robert remains my favorite character. In a simple performance, he manages to carry all the complicated, morally tangled aspects of Robert's personality perfectly, yet still plays him as a sympathetic, genuinely good man. Its really one of the best performances, it's a shame he died so early in the story.
10. The Lion and the Rose 9. Fire and Blood 8. Baelor 7. The Laws of Gods and Men 6. You Win or You Die 5. Kissed by Fire 4. The Lion and the Wolf 3. The Rains of Castamere 2. The Watchers on the Wall 1. Blackwater
Yea the Sept attack isn’t entirely bad in theory just the fact that Cersei suffers no consequences and it’s essentially like it never happened afterwards that makes it bad
I actually liked the scenes of Cersei and Sansa during Battle of the Blackwater. They showed that Joffrey and Cersei could not break Sansa of her compassion. All they did was teach her how to more adeptly navigate around her captors and not get herself killed in the process. They showed that, for all her bluster, Cersei was the scared girl while Sansa was showing real leadership by keeping the other noncombatants calm and encouraged during the battle.
I’m so glad someone is in agreement that WoTW is the best episode of the series. It’s been my favourite since it aired and that will never change. masterpiece.
Ugh the Tormund/Allister and Jon/Styr fights in Watchers are just brilliant. That whole episode is brilliant end to end. The scythe coming down the wall, Ygritte’s death, Aemon’s chat with Sam, Nag charging the gate, the conversation between Allister and Jon… it all just works on every level. And being able to see everything helped. And it did all of that in less than an hour.
The mountain and the viper and the children (season 4 finale) are definitely up there too, same with Tyrion's trail episode, season 4 is the one. Battle of the Bastards and The winds of winter are also amazing.
1 winds of winter 2 mt and the viper 3 and now his watch has ended 4 the laws of gods and men 5 the lion and the rose 6 kissed by fire 7 rains of castamere 8 hardhome 9 dance of dragons 10 the long night Based on how excited I got when I came to that episode when rewatching the series
Watchers on the wall is my favorite too, Jon turning into the savage he was supposed to be is so great to watch. I kind of missed Hardhome because in this episode it is the only time next to Watchers on the wall where we see Jon being a Badass without Plot armour and it is the first time we see the Nightking and what he really is about to do and that this Is the major villain of the fucking show.
I just rewatched the show for the first time after the original and the first seasons feel like a completely different show from the last ones. At the end it’s almost like a soap opera style show
not just Tywin skinning the deer, but the fact he paid someone to teach him how. spent money just for one scene. just shows how epic Charles Dance can be
that was another girl named Violet, she got pregnant and complained once to many to Ramsay so he killed her. Myranda recounts this to Sansa before her wedding. The girl they chase is called Tansy.
Actually that wasn't the same girl. The girl who helped torture Theon along with Myranda, was Violet who then got pregnant off screen and was killed by Ramsay.
Blackwater - the drums, the music, the tyrion's speech, the explosion, the battle and determined Stannis who doesn't want to lose - this is my number one! I must admit you also choosed great episodes to make this top 10 movie. Great job!
The best episodes from the first four seasons proves that they're the best seasons. And I'm sure once I get to the fifth book, it'll prove the point that the first four seasons are the good seasons. Also the only thing that did not diminish after season 4 was the score.
I've re-read the books like 4 times now. At this point just thinking about them makes me sad cause as a long-time mega fan of GoT and ASOIAF I keep reminding myself that I am very unlikely to see what happens next in book 6 and especially book 7. So while I do recommend them, just be prepared for the emotional void after you finish book 5 and the released chapters of book 6, cause you're gonna be mega hyped and slowly disappointed.
@@thomaskoutsoukis8976 Noted. Also I know George R.R Martin hasn't finished series. But I needed something after the final season left a horrible scar. So I started healing it by starting to read the books towards the very end of last year.
The Watchers on the Wall is my fave too... feels like a film at times so many amazing moments in the big battle. The look and soundtrack used is perfect
Gotta be Kissed by Fire for me. Jaime's explanation of being misunderstood by the entire world is the best scene in GoT and reframes the story even further than Dead Ned's exit.
For me one of the best episodes is s6 ep10 The Winds Of Winter, so many interesting things in that episode Cersei blowing up the sept with the epic bgm is one of the best tv scenes ever. Within a span of 10 mins we lost Pycelle, Margeary, Loras, The High Sparrow, Lancel Lannister, Mace Tyrell, King Tommen. Insanee Then Arya killing off Walder Frey was one of the most satisfying deaths in the show Jon’s true identity gets revealed. Jon becoming King in the North was just epic shit. And in the end we see Dany finally sailing to Westeros.
Watchers on the wall was pure joy. I couldn't take my eyes from the screen and even though the show had great moments both before and after, no other episodes manages to deliver as much. The boys of the night watch fight and die like real men, remaining true to their vows. Every one of them realizes he is part of something bigger.
Ahh man when you say “Stannis, the one true king” and his photo pops up with sunglasses and fire I was rolling 😆 thanks for making so many great videos of a once great show
I really like the episodes that conclude with the main characters being completely hopeless. The anticipation of "how are they going to turn this around" is sometimes better than the culmination. For example Season 6 if you watched it live you couldn't wait to see what happened next week on the next episode and you were glued to theory and prediction videos. Season 5 Episode 10 is my favorite. Stannis killed by the Boltons who are now firmly in power in the North, Cersei humiliated by the cult, Daenerys captured by the Dothraki, Jon killed by the Watch, Myrcella poisoned, Arya made blind, and the best scene of Theon throwing the woman off the balcony.
I agree 100 percent with your number one. I’m honestly surprised that this episode doesn’t get takes about more. I feel like most people will refer to the battle of the bastards as the greatest GoT battle and always over look Watchers.
Only casuals liked battle of the bastards, it made zero sense from a tactical perspective and was utterly contrived. Great cinematography with no logic. All sizzle no steak
@@Captain_Insano_nomercy no, it’s a fictional show filled with fantasy elements and people looked way too hard into trying to critique it there’s a reason critiques and majority of fans like it😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 idk why anyone was thinking ab all that dumb extra shit through jon being a badass 😂😂
just another thing to add to Roose at the Red Wedding. I think you’re supposed to immediately think something is off by this guy not drinking at a wedding, but then you think back to when he had captured Jamie and how he still didn’t take the wine then. So you assume this is just standard for him until you realize they somehow managed to perfectly get you to wither suspect him for not drinking wine or that they’ve reminded you that Roose let a super important Lannister go.
The scene with Grenn and saying the Night's Watch oath in the tunnels under Castle Black in 4x9 lives rent free in my head forever. Gives me goosebumps everytime and somehow makes you wish you were a Crow too
Lol! Yeah, but Theon is definitely not as impressive as Hodor! 🤣🤣🤣 (S1, E8 The Pointy End: FYI it was a fake prosthetic the actor wore for modesty reasons...)
I gotta go with S6E9 Battle of the Bastards as my favorite. That whole battle was nothing short of epic. The cinematography decision to put us in Jon's POV in the pile of bodies made me feel so claustrophobic because it was so well done. Of course, the cherry on top of this glorious sundae was seeing the Stark banners back up in Winterfell and Ramsey getting eaten by his hounds while Sansa walks off with that satisfied grin. Such a rewarding episode that is highly re-watchable.
@@davidkapelnikov8637 That's not how I remember the episode. She sent for the Vale well before the battle. Do you recall the scene with Robin Arryn trying to learn archery (trying is being generous lol) when the message from Sansa came in and Littlefinger nudged Robin to send their forces. They just didn't arrive until things were all but lost for Jon. Obviously for dramatic purposes.
@@thebigjimmyd yeh and we dont want something purely for dramatic purposes. thats what makes the battle bad. they make jon the underdog when he shouldve easily beat the boltons lmao

That would cancel out nearly all the terrible decisions from Seaons 5-8 though, because those decisions were all terrible because the writing called for it.
@@domskillet5744, but Bran climbing the tower caused him to fall into a coma, leading to an assassin trying to kill him, leading to Catelyn going to king’s landing and discovering tyrion’s apparently the killer and capturing him, leading to jaime attacking ned when he was leaving for winterfell, which started the war of five kings
@@John-xr9ry Idk if you can call it a bad decision on Bran's part though, rather that's just extremely bad luck that Jamie and Cersei happened to be getting it on in the exact tower and at the same time he was climbing.
I have some of the same episodes but also a lot of different ones in my personal list, while i like the bigger battle scenes i prefer conversation’s and monologue’s of characters there is nothing better than good writing. But also I’m shallow and i love episode’s that just look beautiful
The show cutting away from the big battle in Baelor is actually my favorite part of the episode. Yes, it was done for budget reasons, but thematically it works so well because at the end of the day the battles arent actually whats important. Its the leadup to them the reasons for them. The reactions to them. Something seasons 6-8 completely forgot
Battle of the Bastards will always be my number one episode. Daenerys burning the slave ships, Sansa executes Ramsey, Arya's epic kill of Walder Frey, Jon Snow's amazing battle with Ramsey, that episode has everything!
Jon mindlessly running towards ramsay, sansa not telling jon about little finger’s army for no fking reason, tyrion first failed plan (many more to come),rickon not zigzagging..Yeah the ep is great visually but its nowhere close to the first 40 episodes of the show
Arya's kill was in winds of winter I believe, which is my fav episode. people can knock on the later seasons all they want, but the end of season 6 (minus a couple nitpicks) was easily the best part of the show. winds of winter is literally nonstop classic moments.
@@mattbuchanan6412 I dunno man even by itself most of the hyped up moments in Winds just don't work due to how unnatural and contrived they are. Tyrion suddenly out of nowhere declaring that he believes Dany can bring prosperity to Westeros when in the previous episode he had to talk her down from destroying cities full of innocent people for no reason, Jon learning Mel murdered a child and deciding to give her a slap on the wrist as long as she only burns people in any of the other regions in Westeros...and Davos being completely fine with this, Benjen showing up as a deus ex machina to barely explain why he's been missing and then immediately fucking off cause the writers don't know what to do with him, the "epic" R+L=J reveal that has barely any relevancy to the stories being told and only serves to make Jon's history more convoluted and turn him into even more of a generic chosen one archetype than he already was.
One episode somewhat overlooked because it only had one real surprising element (the ending) is the pilot. I love all the introductions to the characters, the way it represents Medieval culture, the introduction to the white walkers, and the way Ned and Robert show their friendship to each other. The "push" at the end shows this show is going to be full of surprises. It would be at the least #10 in cracking my top ten, because it hooked me into watching the show.
Perfect list, wish u include Hardhome tho. Getting to see Tyrion and Dany begin their professional relationship was one of the few original decisions that D&D made for the show that actually felt right. The parallel of tyrion being dany’s hand the way Tywin was for Aerys, is the kind of congruency that feels true to the GOT style of storytelling. In the books the battle of hardhome was only alluded to, but to have it play out on screen as our first proper introduction to what a battle against the wights would look like felt necessary. The battle of winterfell felt disorienting, but so did hardhome, and I think that’s the point. We got to see Valyrian steel used against a wight general, and we got a brief glimpse into the political culture of the free folk. Overall, at least #5-#8 on my list
1. S6 ep 10 - winds of winter 2. S3 ep 9 - the reins of castemere 3. S6 ep 9 - battle of the bastards 4. S5 ep 8 - hardhome 5. S4 ep 10 - the children 6. S4 ep 9 - the watchers on the wall 7. S4 ep 6 - the laws of gods and men 8. S5 ep 10 - mothers mercy 9. S2 ep 9 - black water 10. S1 ep 9 - bealor
This is infinitely better than the list in the episode. It’s clear that he just wants to bash the post-books seasons as much as possible. Anyone who thinks S1E5 is better than hardhome or the last two episodes of S6 is out of their mind.

I've got a real soft spot for the long night. I've never felt so much stress and intoxication in anything I've watched. But by far my favourite episode is The Blackwater, s2 ep9. Absolute masterpiece.
I agree, The Long Night was so intense, it was hard for me to settle down after it ended. It was like my adrenaline had shot up. My absolute favorite is the Red Wedding though. That was just so brutal and unexpected, I was absolutely shocked.
Say what you will about the rest of season 8 but episode 3 was the best episode of TV I've ever seen of anything. I guess my TV is better with dark blues and things idk. I had to take breaks it was so stressful to watch, but captivating at the same time. I also hold season 7 episode 4 the spoils of war in my top 10 list. Some might think it's too much spectacle but seeing the dragon in open battle for the first time was a long awaited payoff.
I would argue "The Laws of Gods and Men," "The Winds of Winter," "The Battle of the Bastards," and "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" all have shouts to be on this list.
Cersei’s scenes during “Blackwater” were some of my favorite scenes in the show. I guess it really depends on who your favorite characters are. Cersei was one of my favorites, until the faith militant put her through the walk of shame and cut her hair. After that, her character changed, and she just became less human and more hateful. It was hard to connect with her after that.
It's interesting because I always hated her and the walk of shame was so satisfying. Mind you I read the books first, and the character is way less likeable in the book
@@Captain_Insano_nomercy I wholeheartedly agree. Cat Tully is far less likeable to me in the books as well. I sincerely wish I could read all of Book 6, because I view the later seasons as lazy fan fiction writing rather than capturing the spirit of the books and George Martin's world
My list would be very similar to yours but my favorite episode has got to be The Winds of Winter: From the hauntingly beautiful music leading up to the great sept explosion, to Tommen's poetic death scene, to Arya avenging the red wedding, Jon Snow's true parentage reveal and Daenerys finally sailing for Westeros. That fight scene was the best in the whole series. Oberyn Martell was a warrior's warrior. I hate watching him taunting the downed Mountain, knowing what that carelessness would cost him. May all of us learn from that scene a lesson on humility and precaution.
Not to mention Tyrion and Jaime's moments just before the trial! Which was not just top tier dialogue but also very poetic
I gotta say for #9, when you said "Jaime big-dicking Loras" at the wedding, let's be real: Loras easily got the best of that exchange with his line as he walked away. Loras low-key had some great moments
I agree, that was honestly the best mic drop moment. That 4 words destroyed everything Jamie just said a few moments ago
I think when Myrcella dies, Cersei realizes that the whharsayr is right, and from that point on comes to terms with Tommen's death.
For me the first 10mins of that episode are the best 10min in the whole series for me. One of the best usage of music in the history of television series!
White wolf scene. 🐺
Agree, I adore the WHOLE episode!
Also I feel hardhome is so underrated every single time!! The cinematography, the music and the fight scene with Jon and the Walker is unreal!!
Agreed, i was wondering when someone would bring it up. Its by far my favorite battle in the series.
I remember that episode.
Yes, but which episode will it kick out? The Wolf and the Lion is supercut's 10th best episode and even that episode is just better. I do think that The Climb has a place in the top 15 definitely though.

The Rains of Castamere is great because it shows the fallout of the Red Wedding beyond the keep, and you see Robb's army being slaughtered. There's a moment where Grey Wind is killed that Arya sees and it's always heartbreaking.
I hate how it ended, but this show gave me so many great times. The first few seasons are still the greatest TV ever produced.
@@sharmelfattakhov5041 And we got less good dialogue scenes. The series became a generic action oriented fantasy show.
Hey don't diss Battle of the Bastards that was epic
@@mrtom2854 You probably watch Game of Thrones in bars and clap for Marvel movies

Also I like the fact that there's no episodes after season 4. S1-S4 was the peak of Game of Thrones.
Especially, after season 6 started, GoT relied fully on individual scenes rather than the story, which resulted in inconsistency
Yes winds of winter is the most overrated episode of the show. And the first half of battle of the bastards was an awful rushed mess.
@@chscelebrity8325 Lol winds of winter is clearly the most well rated ep in the show, no EP in GoT had that much consistency of a mixture of thrill, suspense and twists than winds of winter, but battle of the bastards is undoubtedly overrated

Blackwater - the drums, the music, the tyrion's speech, the explosion, the battle and determined Stannis who doesn't want to lose - this is my number one!

Cersei blowing up the sept with the epic bgm is one of the best tv scenes ever. Within a span of 10 mins we lost Pycelle, Margeary, Loras, The High Sparrow, Lancel Lannister, Mace Tyrell, King Tommen. Insanee

Jon’s true identity gets revealed.
For me the Tyrion’s trial and Kissed by fire are probably my two favourites
I like that you used the Ancestor Deer’s theme, absolutely beautiful track
Ahh man when you say “Stannis, the one true king” and his photo pops up with sunglasses and fire I was rolling 😆 thanks for making so many great videos of a once great show
Hardhome i think is my favorite episode ever. The tension, the sense of helplessness, etc are just so good for me
I really like the episodes that conclude with the main characters being completely hopeless.
Respect for using the soundtrack from Regal Ancestor Spirit boss fight in Elden Ring. Soundtrack is soooooo goood!
I agree 100 percent with your number one. I’m honestly surprised that this episode doesn’t get takes about more. I feel like most people will refer to the battle of the bastards as the greatest GoT battle and always over look Watchers.

just another thing to add to Roose at the Red Wedding.

Only thing that ruins it for me is how silly it was that Sansa waited to the last minute to call the Army of the Vale.
@@davidkapelnikov8637 That's not how I remember the episode. She sent for the Vale well before the battle. The show cutting away from the big battle in Baelor is actually my favorite part of the episode. Yes, it was done for budget reasons, but thematically it works so well because at the end of the day the battles arent actually whats important. Its the leadup to them the reasons for them. The reactions to them.

That episode didn't make any sense.
S1-S6 were great. S7 & 8 are so dissapponting :(
One episode somewhat overlooked because it only had one real surprising element (the ending) is the pilot.

Hard home is not eve here??
Lmao
@Khotun Khan hardhome is only good for its 1/3 . Its made worde by the fact that the walkers end up being loser villains that do nothing.
The red wedding the only scene in a show that actually made me tear up it was heartbreaking
Good list
Baelor>Battle of the Bastards
Watchers on the wall is my favorite episode too!!!! Awesome list!!!!
Very based for having Elden Ring ost in the background😩👌
Playing Dark Souls character creation theme during those scenes was perfect, gave me goosebumps.
Too bad we didn’t get more Neil Marshall episodes.
Really digging your videos. Very good analysis.
I sincerely wish I could read all of Book 6, because I view the later seasons as lazy fan fiction writing rather than capturing the spirit of the books and George Martin's world
Bout to watch all of these in the order u put down in this video 🤙🏿
My list would be very similar to yours but my favorite episode has got to be The Winds of Winter:
From the hauntingly beautiful music leading up to the great sept explosion, to Tommen's poetic death scene, to Arya avenging the red wedding, Jon Snow's true parentage reveal and Daenerys finally sailing for Westeros. Only downside was Cersei not facing enough consequences.
All in all 10/10 episode, Game of Thrones ended for me here.
I wish I could see what was so great about Winds given that every scene either has no logical build up or goes nowhere.
@@thomaslynch5313 Let's just ignore that, and ignore everything that happens afterwards. The episode alone is a masterpiece.
@@adinab478 agree, if season 7 had actually been good and given consequences to the big events of the winds of winter, it would've been near perfection. the winds of winter is the only episode past season 4 that i'd put in my top 10 personally
This video made me so sad. It reminded me of all the reasons why I love this story, and why I used to love the show... before everything went spiraling down the toilet.
