I think U should rename this video to "Best gear guide", it cant be general cuz U include way too much Limited Event or research gear that takes time to get and limited to PR focus. U talk like U used to swap gears from ship to ship for maximum performance, while most ppl cant be bothered with such extra steps. Aux part very chaotic cuz U add to many gears from collection rewards, event limited thus confirming last point I mentioned. To be honest U needed to make gears in categories simplified way by saying "Best, Great and Common" were Best would be with limited gears including and long research gears, Great gear should be hard to get but possible to get anytime and but takes more some farming, Common with box drops, easy to farm. Its good guide only for old players who been trough many events, and did thousands of researches, for someone of 6 months and especially less, this guide just confuses and makes them go to wiki to learn how to get those gears and seeing they cant. Anyway, most info here I already know since I play more than 2 years, but still great guide. GL.

And new players does not need to get these gears now (there is no way they can grind these gears, even the commonly obtainable one as they focus on getting more ships first), what they need to do is to set the gear they wanted as their goal bcs Azur Lane only have high difficulty in very late game situations, below them you will only need to swap ships and not equips. "Only good for old players?" No, this guide is not only for "what should i get now", this guide is also for new players to see which gears is preferred by old players, which is how all guide works, setting a preference for the future as you progress through Regarding aux equips, almost nothing from what you get commonly feels good in late game, all late game aux except for some (Steam Catapult, Bulge, and SG Radar) comes from long grinds on research or on hard mode or limited event. Its best for them to know this early rather than using and upgrading something that will get tossed away. And just3c made this update video is to make sure everyone knows how the new equips do in the current "meta" of sorts anyway. Its been his style to do this
Nice work, I would have added a note about Barrage BBs and which guns are best for them but considering we don't have as many of them in META now I guess it's fine to leave that out.
HE guns work well versus every kind of armor and there wasn't a better bb gun with HE than the mk6 that didn't require insane levels of investment until the mk7
More like there are hardly new gear that can dethrone them. The devs has been diligent in adding DD,CL,CA guns that we have a lot of options. BB guns on the other hand they only put in token additions mostly to be a little more 'historical' by giving PR ships their appropriate gears, and even the viable ones like the FdG gun and the dang Georgia gun are much harder to obtain while the triple 406 and twin 41 can be obtained easily from purple and gold boxes.
Yeah, but it's really not worth it. Just farm the Nakajima B6N in 12-4 (while farming XP/PR) and build them up to Ryuseis - you can easily get enough BPs for multiple builds per day with only relaxed auto-farming for one cycle until moral drops - if you have spare booster, even better.
I've read this in the video: "Because now the Fire-Control Radar can be mass produced, triple guns on a battleship with high reload can fire the same amount of salvos as double guns." Excuse me, could you help me out about it? I'm still trying to finish my 3rd one and it's going extremely slowly. I looked at the core data shop, the gear lab and so on, but I can't find any way to craft more. Unless it is confirmed that PR4 gives us FCR blueprints at an increased rate in comparison to the PR3 research, I can't really see myself mass-producing it. Help? Another thing is, how does the Junkers Ju-87 D-4 aim better, care to explain? I generally use a full stop za warudo in all CV fleet, which means it doesn't matter much for me, but I would like to understand the difference.
Same here, no idea how to get FCR easily. As for the Junkers, it's slightly more precise than the Ryuusei in general, but with slow setups it doesn't matter
HPFCR can actually be produced now. Before you could only get them from one of the first events 'Fallen Wings.' Since EN never got the rerun we only had 1 avaliable. That they come from PR3 means the can be mass produced, not that we can make them faster

I've been playing for quite a while and haven't gotten a single PR gun nor nearly enough regular gold gear to substitute for subpar purples, so I wouldn't be so sure about this statement lol
Yeah.. but some of that gold equipment can you get by farm (If you are not lazy to spend your time and oil.) And there still purple equipment that can substitute the gold one.
Actually this video isn't guide for beginner tho... For beginner like me, this video help a lot to planning for crafting a PR equipment and build a ship with the right equipment.
I know this probably took a LOT of time and effort to make, its a fantastic video! But do you have any plans on making an updated version in the future?
It would be very interesting to have just3c discuss this with maybe ALM or some other YT, since there seems to be quite interesting difference in opinion regarding the gear. Nice video as always
ALM is more PvP orientated, hence his opinion will differ vastly on that point alone. best take info from more people and try to make your own opinion after with what works for you.
I concur, I usually view Ander, 3c, KimoC, and ALM. I base my decisions on the information from the four of them along with my own testing/experimentation.
If you take Azur Lane (sorta) seriously you ought to watch Quyet Nguyen; he's a power player, has multiple rainbow guns and always comes up with creative ways (formations) to blitz through difficult fights. Most of his vids are showcases but the ones about gear go heavily into detail. 3C has an issue with ping-ponging on information a lot between vids; on some he makes things sound like BiS and the next vid talking about the same thing sudenly they are just good or niche out of nowhere (can't tell how many times he's gone back and forth between recommending purple 406 and/or gold 381mm, at least he finally admited the issue is just that there's a high likelihood of something better coming up in the future thus 381 isn't recommendable over the 406 despite the power gap at max level). The biggest offender I saw in this one was mentioning the gearlab 203mm mk15 CA gun as great against medium armor... It is okay at it and slightly worse than the german 203 SKC for that role but its true niche is having the best DPS against heavy armor amongst heavy cruiser guns (barring the rainbow gun of course) so it is used almost exclusivelly in heavy armor boss fights. Nowhere did he mention this. That said 3Cs reviews and gear recommendations are still a great guideline. ALM on the other hand just spews misinformation left and right; I'm not sure if he's an uber casual or what but I can't stand watching even 2 minutes of his vids without cringing; He often uses and recommends gear for certain ships that just don't make sense besides not understanding what makes certain ships good/preffered. Just search for written guides out there, search on the CN gear/ship tierlists, look at the Wiki numbers, you'll see he has no clue about what he talks most of the time. Kimochi is good for entertainment value and even though he's not all that serious about the game he does know what gear to use and how to make proper fleets in general. He's not serious but he plays and loves the game enough to know more than the basics even if he never explains why he uses X over Y.

Very nice. I have a friend who's newer to the game and is starting to want to know more about gear choices than, "Just look up a tier list and generally use what they have listed." This is very helpful.
I love how I will sit here and study these lists all while knowing in the back of my mind that optimizing is not necessary in the slightest on the maps that I am currently running over and over with my current ships... chapter 12 and chapter 11 hm (I refuse to move on until I get all the ship drops on any map, so I tend to go VERY slow... I think I had my first level 100 before I left 3-4. RNJesus is not kind to me)
It's a bit late but I'm curious, what made you change your opinion on Ju-87 D-4? In video analyzing Gear Lab stuff before, you said that we should either get one copy of Ju-87 D-4 for Graf or ignore it completely, but here you suddenly say it's the best aircraft?

Long description on my experience - Yes I never knew you could toggle between Research Focus III not until March lol, no joke. 40th print as of yesterday. Seeing the reddit chart - its all probability/luck. April was my horrible month: dry spell of Drake Gun Prints. I focused on G-Projects 1hr. 30 min and Q-Projects 1hr. D-Projects only if I see Drake, FDG or Azuma 30 mins or 2hr 30min perferred. My logic is going for shortest time to have many chances to cycle the research in a day even at work. Before bedtime I would pick the highest hour Research G and Q 4hrs or D 8hrs. So when you wake up the research should be done. Helps to turn on notifications when research completes. Per reddit chart getting a PR Equipment/Drake gun is stupid low probability on 1hr 30 G project and 1 hr on Q project, and occasionally the D Projects. But I did get them there. Probability rises higher if you do the longer projects of G, Q or D but you lose more opportunity to cycle projects hence doing those while only sleeping. Per KimoCheese the benefit of doing G-Projects is a chance to get strengthening blueprints as well especially Drake's PR Prints while hunting for Drake's gun blueprints. "By the time you get 1 Drake Gun, you should have enough to dev level 30 PR 3 Ships except for Drake" - KimoCheese As of today I checked my strengthening blueprints I have 264 Drake, 384 Chesire, 377 Mainz, 382 Odin and 373 Champagne. 40 Drake Gun Prints. So far this is my experience on hunting for Drake gun prints from research 3 sourced info from reddit chart to Vet Shikikans - KimoCheese, Quiet Nguyen, JC3 and Ander. Ah, I see RNGsus has blessed me in more ways than two (Got Big J x2 within 100 pulls)! I remember asking you 3c if you were gonna make an updated gear guide video, way back when before had all these ABSOLUTE BANGERS of events that we've had recently. Guess with all these new events with cool Kansen joining the fleet and new gear, this video had to be pushed back the more we had events eh? Now I can finally test whether I've made the right choices in spec'ing into quality gear from those events. Great work as always!
Great video, very helpful 👍But two questions here: 1) Are triple guns for BBs always the best choice? Even on BBs that fire a barrage on salvo? 2) Why did you recommend the torpedo bulk as auxiliary for light cruisers? The dmg modifier on torps for light and medium armor is pretty low. Wouldn't it be more important on heavy cruisers?
Torpedo bulk is a waste of purple plates. Fire trigger barrage will always want fred or odin gun with the exception of mk7 because of just how broken it is
1.) Generally use triple guns on a non barrage type BB but if the BB has a great barrage like monarch its best to use a twin gun like the twin 406 skc main gun 2.) Generally auxiliary gear for light cruisers is toolkit + rudder but the rudder has a higher priority on a heavy cruiser so double toolkit on a lightcruiser works fine too
On Bidder damage calc... is that done with the faulty damage value (of 176) or the ACTUAL damage it does (of 171). I find my G7e subs generally perform better than the Bidder one, but maybe I just use them on the right/wrong wolfpack. Also thanks for this updated guide, especially torpedo's annoy me to no end which to use. And it kinda still does since they all LOOK so similar and have very similar names it's hard to know which ones are the good and which the bad.
I play this game for over a year now, but since day one I don't understand the mechanic behind the "reload" stat. You speak about high and low reload, but what do you mean exactly? What means "high reload" and "low reload"? Can u explain this mechanic a little bit more, pls?

Maybe I misunderstood something but - if triples are generally better then the fabled Twin rainbow is not the best gun? It's kinda odd, I've been focusing it since it came out and still don't even have it: 49/50. But then I lazily farmed a few points in event and just bought the rainbow triple...
I really like the video and i will save it for later but i kinda wish there was such a video for purple guns, im kinda struggling to know which ones to use for my ships since ive only been playing for almost 2 months and dont have access to any gold gear as of yet, still, this will help in the future and the aux list is a real winner for me.
@Just3c you mention mass producing High Performance FCR (gold FCR) at 7:01. How? The only way to get them at the moment is PR research which takes forever.
I wonder which is best for my Tallinn against Helena Meta. She can equip either CL or CA guns but she has damage buffs for using Iron Blood or Northern Parliament weapons. I usually use the PR CA gun from Iron Blood for her. Helena Meta being light armor changes things. I don't have any HE guns from IB/NP factions in the heavy class. I can use the purple T2 version of the Chapyev gun (I dont have the gold one). The Iron Blood AP CL guns seem to have better modifiers than the CA versions. What would be most effective?
Hey Just3C, would you be willing to make a video if it worth farming OS? Seems like its not possible to build a Meta fully once there's a new Meta Ship to obtain. Leveling skills and enhancing seems much more harder than PR as well.
I'd say yes. The other thing about OS is that some enemies gives you xp that help level your ships with 0 oil cost, albeit with no affinity gain. You can't do much in the gear lab without parts that are available only in OS. To build a Meta fully, at the minimum, just fight the Meta boss twice and help with 3 Meta bosses per day. I was relatively weak when I started OS. So far, I've been able to obtain every ship and fully unlock them. Some I cut it close due to my own schedule, but I always got into OS once per day. By the way, you usually have 3 months to fully unlock the Meta ships. You can upgrade the skills, even if you don't do it within the first 3 months. That happened to me with Hiryuu Meta.
What's a good alternative over the Hood gun for barrage based BB's? I only have one twin 406 and usually put the purple HE twin or Hood gun on ships with barrages but based on this it might be worth it to use the triple 406 depending on reloads.
I thought it was mentioned on the event Video that U-37 didnt need an improved Snorkel but should get Oxy Torps instead. Is that no longer the case or am misunderstanding.
If you are using a double "bidder" on a sub it is better to use an oxy torp instead but if your using a torp other than a bidder its better to use a snorkel instead :)
Man I hope we get a rerun of the event that had the VH plate on it. Azuma is one of my favourite ships, I completed the event but FORGOT TO ACCEPT THE GODDAMN REWARD. So I missed out, it's bugged me ever since.

After watching this video, I crafted a JU-87 for Shinano and tried a JU-87/Ryuusei loadout but can’t say that I see the difference between the two. How exactly is the former more accurate ?

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit pissed about this one... Several Ryuuseis enhanced to +13 because Just3c said it's the top choice for torpedo bombers on boss fights (plus you have the option of going from purple to gold) and JU-87 was supposedly only used for Graf Zeppelin's skill buff. Now suddenly JU-87 is the top choice because it has better accuracy against moving targets? Man, what is this? :|
Converging torps are heavily heavily overrated by many guide an tier list makers. The amount of min-max and having to use a slot for slows and sometimes even an entire ship slot just to make them hit isn't worth it when other fleets that don't use them at all can do better than converging torps ever could even if they hit every single torp.
Ryuusei is still a very good choice. I still say they're still the same, if not its only slightly better but ignorable. So if you want to build JU-87 after having Ryuusei its very much up to you. For me tho I'll just move on to Wyvern and Tigercat after having double Ryuusei
@@aichisendou6375 Yeah, that sounds pretty solid as a plan to me. Either 2 or 4 Ryuseis to +13 (depending on how much you farm plates) for event & OPS boss fleets. After that at least one JU-87 a/o Wyvern - the second Wyvern could take a while - especially for casual players anyways. I would even say building up some Pirate Squads/Tigercats in the meantime until you can get a second Wyvern is the ONLY effective option right now...

Yeah its very worth it i suggest farming in 8-5 for cheaper farming and oil efficiency or in 10-5 which has better rate up dropping mark8 sub torp bp but it can be hard and it may cost more oil than u think
For general purposes where you aren't stacking a slow, yes, because it drops the torps closer than the Ryusei. For bosses where you planning your slows/stops to the second, Ryusei wins, but not by enough to matter. To me, it's more of an issue of Ryuseis being free and Stukas competing with other planes for parts.
The Stuka in my view misses less than the Ryuusei. I didn't believe until I watched torps from the Ryuusei miss the target (badly sometimes) when slow isn't involved.
I wish accessibility some of that equipment wasn't limited only to lab gear. Also watching this made me think that it would be great if there was feature to sell/convert/upgrade excess gear blueprints, but I guess that's wishful thinking.
Huh, my main fleet for Dark Royal was DoY/Howe/FDG. Guess my hunch on arming DoY with twin 457mm was correct after all. FDG and Howe sported Champagne's tripple 406mm.
I have some question, Why ryusei has worse accuracy againts moving target than JU-87 D-4? is the iron blood torpedos bomber has magnetic torps? torps speed same all 3, ryusei has better speed 52>51 so? pattern? please this really make me curious, I only have 1 JU-87 and 8 ryusei lol and should i make more JU?
Because ryusei torpedoes converge. If the target moves, it’ll miss because it is not magnetic. it Literally misses if the enemy moves anywhere but the converging torps

The fighter part could've really used the names. Most planes look rather similar, and I don't like having to go into the game/wiki to find the right one everytime...
I wish we had some better firepower buffing gear for Cruisers and Destroyers. I feel like that's the one type of gear that we're really lacking overall.
Putting roombas on all your ships isn't just not optimal, it's actively detrimental to your fleet's AA capabilities. It does have high alpha damage and very long range, however the reload time on it is terrible. When you put roombas on all your ships, unless your vanguard is completely filled with AA monsters like sandy or cheshire, you're basically guaranteeing that your ships will shoot planes exactly once, fail to kill them, and then watch all of them crash into your backline. This is a terrible setup for W12-13 where AA really matters. If you really can't be bothered to optimize your AA, then at least use 40mm quad bofors for general purpose instead of roomba. It has almost as high alpha damage, much better reload, and the hit to range isn't that bad (or even relevant if you play manual.) At least then your ships can shoot more than once and actually kill some planes.
@@melonbread4269 the 40mm is better in every way even when not min maxing. when min maxing you start doing sped adjusting and such. The 40mm quad bofers have 1/3rd more dps than the romba and fire faster so less chance of planes flying through your aa between shots

@Nguyen Hung Gotcha RNG's been bad for me with the Fire Control Radar so news that makes it sound like there's a surefire, easier method to get them? That will always get attention
There are very, very few items that you should +13 because the upgrade is very expensive. +10 gold or a few +11 blues are more than enough for any content we have right now. +13 is for min-max in both PvE or PvP, because the difference is small but not entirely neglectible.
1:39 Since Kitakaze has a skill that changes her main gun modifiers to 115/115/115 so any gun is effective against any armor type so which gun would be the best for her? the twin 130mm(best dps/high FP which help her since she has main gun+1) or the twin 114mm mk IV(fast firing rate would help to get the all out assault barrage more often)?
@Nguyen Hung kita full barrage is 100% worth using the twin 114 to trigger it. And twin 114 isn't far enough behind dps wise that the barrage doesn't boost it past
I thought about this as well, but I would say "no" for a simple reason: If you're enhancing a normal weapon to +10 for use on Massachusetts, and at some point you want to use another BB, what are you gonna do with that normal ammo gun? It's pretty much useless at that point... Instead, use an AP/HE gun and switch it to a different BB whenever you feel like it.
Massachusetts SHS AP is really bad as it has horrible splash radius and terrible modifiers. So you would want to just run a mk6 on her and ignore her shell swap skill
But then you'd have to run Massachusetts... To give a serious answer, if you wanted to use the SHS, no, because the AP triple 406 mle gives you more raw dps and is useful.

Yeah, but it's really not worth it. Just farm the Nakajima B6N in 12-4 (while farming XP/PR) and build them up to Ryuseis - you can easily get enough BPs for multiple builds per day with only relaxed auto-farming for one cycle until moral drops - if you have spare booster, even better.

Excuse me, could you help me out about it? I'm still trying to finish my 3rd one and it's going extremely slowly. I looked at the core data shop, the gear lab and so on, but I can't find any way to craft more. Unless it is confirmed that PR4 gives us FCR blueprints at an increased rate in comparison to the PR3 research, I can't really see myself mass-producing it. Help?
Another thing is, how does the Junkers Ju-87 D-4 aim better, care to explain? I generally use a full stop za warudo in all CV fleet, which means it doesn't matter much for me, but I would like to understand the difference.

Same here, no idea how to get FCR easily. As for the Junkers, it's slightly more precise than the Ryuusei in general, but with slow setups it doesn't matter
HPFCR can actually be produced now. Before you could only get them from one of the first events 'Fallen Wings.' Since EN never got the rerun we only had 1 avaliable. That they come from PR3 means the can be mass produced, not that we can make them faster
"Mass produced" is a bit too much tho. Since PR3 came out I only got 1...

I've been playing for quite a while and haven't gotten a single PR gun nor nearly enough regular gold gear to substitute for subpar purples, so I wouldn't be so sure about this statement lol
Yeah.. but some of that gold equipment can you get by farm (If you are not lazy to spend your time and oil.) And there still purple equipment that can substitute the gold one.
Actually this video isn't guide for beginner tho... For beginner like me, this video help a lot to planning for crafting a PR equipment and build a ship with the right equipment.
I only have purple guns and don't have any gold guns it's like hard to get in this game than getting 5 star ships

Well different people, different opinions. Its just up to the players who & what they believe
ALM is more PvP orientated, hence his opinion will differ vastly on that point alone. best take info from more people and try to make your own opinion after with what works for you.
I concur, I usually view Ander, 3c, KimoC, and ALM. I base my decisions on the information from the four of them along with my own testing/experimentation.
If you take Azur Lane (sorta) seriously you ought to watch Quyet Nguyen; he's a power player, has multiple rainbow guns and always comes up with creative ways (formations) to blitz through difficult fights.
Most of his vids are showcases but the ones about gear go heavily into detail.
3C has an issue with ping-ponging on information a lot between vids; on some he makes things sound like BiS and the next vid talking about the same thing sudenly they are just good or niche out of nowhere (can't tell how many times he's gone back and forth between recommending purple 406 and/or gold 381mm, at least he finally admited the issue is just that there's a high likelihood of something better coming up in the future thus 381 isn't recommendable over the 406 despite the power gap at max level).
The biggest offender I saw in this one was mentioning the gearlab 203mm mk15 CA gun as great against medium armor... It is okay at it and slightly worse than the german 203 SKC for that role but its true niche is having the best DPS against heavy armor amongst heavy cruiser guns (barring the rainbow gun of course) so it is used almost exclusivelly in heavy armor boss fights. Nowhere did he mention this.
That said 3Cs reviews and gear recommendations are still a great guideline. ALM on the other hand just spews misinformation left and right; I'm not sure if he's an uber casual or what but I can't stand watching even 2 minutes of his vids without cringing; He often uses and recommends gear for certain ships that just don't make sense besides not understanding what makes certain ships good/preffered. Just search for written guides out there, search on the CN gear/ship tierlists, look at the Wiki numbers, you'll see he has no clue about what he talks most of the time.
Kimochi is good for entertainment value and even though he's not all that serious about the game he does know what gear to use and how to make proper fleets in general. He's not serious but he plays and loves the game enough to know more than the basics even if he never explains why he uses X over Y.

Very nice. I have a friend who's newer to the game and is starting to want to know more about gear choices than, "Just look up a tier list and generally use what they have listed." This is very helpful.
I love how I will sit here and study these lists all while knowing in the back of my mind that optimizing is not necessary in the slightest on the maps that I am currently running over and over with my current ships... chapter 12 and chapter 11 hm
(I refuse to move on until I get all the ship drops on any map, so I tend to go VERY slow... I think I had my first level 100 before I left 3-4. RNJesus is not kind to me)
It's a bit late but I'm curious, what made you change your opinion on Ju-87 D-4? In video analyzing Gear Lab stuff before, you said that we should either get one copy of Ju-87 D-4 for Graf or ignore it completely, but here you suddenly say it's the best aircraft?
When you said the Ju87 D-4 was not good in the Gear Lab video, now it's the best converge TorpBomb in here? Is because of OpSir and AvP from PR4?

Long description on my experience -
Yes I never knew you could toggle between Research Focus III not until March lol, no joke. 40th print as of yesterday. Seeing the reddit chart - its all probability/luck. April was my horrible month: dry spell of Drake Gun Prints.
I focused on G-Projects 1hr. 30 min and Q-Projects 1hr. D-Projects only if I see Drake, FDG or Azuma 30 mins or 2hr 30min perferred.
My logic is going for shortest time to have many chances to cycle the research in a day even at work. Before bedtime I would pick the highest hour Research G and Q 4hrs or D 8hrs. So when you wake up the research should be done.
Helps to turn on notifications when research completes.
Per reddit chart getting a PR Equipment/Drake gun is stupid low probability on 1hr 30 G project and 1 hr on Q project, and occasionally the D Projects. But I did get them there. Probability rises higher if you do the longer projects of G, Q or D but you lose more opportunity to cycle projects hence doing those while only sleeping.
Per KimoCheese the benefit of doing G-Projects is a chance to get strengthening blueprints as well especially Drake's PR Prints while hunting for Drake's gun blueprints.
"By the time you get 1 Drake Gun, you should have enough to dev level 30 PR 3 Ships except for Drake" - KimoCheese
As of today I checked my strengthening blueprints I have 264 Drake, 384 Chesire, 377 Mainz, 382 Odin and 373 Champagne.

So far this is my experience on hunting for Drake gun prints from research 3 sourced info from reddit chart to Vet Shikikans - KimoCheese, Quiet Nguyen, JC3 and Ander. Plus comments from others as well.

I remember asking you 3c if you were gonna make an updated gear guide video, way back when before had all these ABSOLUTE BANGERS of events that we've had recently. Guess with all these new events with cool Kansen joining the fleet and new gear, this video had to be pushed back the more we had events eh? Now I can finally test whether I've made the right choices in spec'ing into quality gear from those events. Great work as always!
@7:00 fire-control radar can be Mass produced. Are you referring to regular version? HP version is still PR3 research, no?
PR3 research is out for almost a year now. I personally have 5 of this radars now so guess it is mass produced.

Great video, very helpful 👍But two questions here: 1) Are triple guns for BBs always the best choice? Even on BBs that fire a barrage on salvo? 2) Why did you recommend the torpedo bulk as auxiliary for light cruisers? The dmg modifier on torps for light and medium armor is pretty low. Wouldn't it be more important on heavy cruisers?
Torpedo bulk is a waste of purple plates. Fire trigger barrage will always want fred or odin gun with the exception of mk7 because of just how broken it is
1.) Generally use triple guns on a non barrage type BB but if the BB has a great barrage like monarch its best to use a twin gun like the twin 406 skc main gun
2.) Generally auxiliary gear for light cruisers is toolkit + rudder but the rudder has a higher priority on a heavy cruiser so double toolkit on a lightcruiser works fine too

On Bidder damage calc... is that done with the faulty damage value (of 176) or the ACTUAL damage it does (of 171). I find my G7e subs generally perform better than the Bidder one, but maybe I just use them on the right/wrong wolfpack.
Also thanks for this updated guide, especially torpedo's annoy me to no end which to use. And it kinda still does since they all LOOK so similar and have very similar names it's hard to know which ones are the good and which the bad.
I play this game for over a year now, but since day one I don't understand the mechanic behind the "reload" stat. You speak about high and low reload, but what do you mean exactly? What means "high reload" and "low reload"? Can u explain this mechanic a little bit more, pls?

So, does the Destroyer gun at 0:40 next to the twin 114 (QF MK IV) in the Auxiliary list not exist or was its model changed? Because I can't find it.
It does exist, it seems the image got updated between December 2020 and now. It's the Twin 100mm (Type 98). Unsure why they used the old image.

Maybe I misunderstood something but - if triples are generally better then the fabled Twin rainbow is not the best gun? It's kinda odd, I've been focusing it since it came out and still don't even have it: 49/50. But then I lazily farmed a few points in event and just bought the rainbow triple...

@Just3c you mention mass producing High Performance FCR (gold FCR) at 7:01. How? The only way to get them at the moment is PR research which takes forever.
7:02 - can the fire control radar be farmed somewhere? Because the research lab only drops a print for that once in a blue moon.

I wonder which is best for my Tallinn against Helena Meta. She can equip either CL or CA guns but she has damage buffs for using Iron Blood or Northern Parliament weapons.
I usually use the PR CA gun from Iron Blood for her. Helena Meta being light armor changes things. I don't have any HE guns from IB/NP factions in the heavy class.
I can use the purple T2 version of the Chapyev gun (I dont have the gold one). The Iron Blood AP CL guns seem to have better modifiers than the CA versions.
What would be most effective?
Oh boy, how the meta shifted. I guess that's why my current setup struggled a lot in W13, I guess I should regear my fleets soon.
Hey Just3C, would you be willing to make a video if it worth farming OS? Seems like its not possible to build a Meta fully once there's a new Meta Ship to obtain. Leveling skills and enhancing seems much more harder than PR as well.
I'd say yes. The other thing about OS is that some enemies gives you xp that help level your ships with 0 oil cost, albeit with no affinity gain. You can't do much in the gear lab without parts that are available only in OS. To build a Meta fully, at the minimum, just fight the Meta boss twice and help with 3 Meta bosses per day. I was relatively weak when I started OS. So far, I've been able to obtain every ship and fully unlock them. Some I cut it close due to my own schedule, but I always got into OS once per day. By the way, you usually have 3 months to fully unlock the Meta ships. You can upgrade the skills, even if you don't do it within the first 3 months. That happened to me with Hiryuu Meta.
Is it worth it to +13? I thought ops +1% only applies in operation siren?
What's a good alternative over the Hood gun for barrage based BB's? I only have one twin 406 and usually put the purple HE twin or Hood gun on ships with barrages but based on this it might be worth it to use the triple 406 depending on reloads.
I thought it was mentioned on the event Video that U-37 didnt need an improved Snorkel but should get Oxy Torps instead. Is that no longer the case or am misunderstanding.
If you are using a double "bidder" on a sub it is better to use an oxy torp instead but if your using a torp other than a bidder its better to use a snorkel instead :)

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit pissed about this one... Several Ryuuseis enhanced to +13 because Just3c said it's the top choice for torpedo bombers on boss fights (plus you have the option of going from purple to gold) and JU-87 was supposedly only used for Graf Zeppelin's skill buff. Now suddenly JU-87 is the top choice because it has better accuracy against moving targets? Man, what is this? :|
Converging torps are heavily heavily overrated by many guide an tier list makers. The amount of min-max and having to use a slot for slows and sometimes even an entire ship slot just to make them hit isn't worth it when other fleets that don't use them at all can do better than converging torps ever could even if they hit every single torp.
Ryuusei is still a very good choice. I still say they're still the same, if not its only slightly better but ignorable. So if you want to build JU-87 after having Ryuusei its very much up to you. For me tho I'll just move on to Wyvern and Tigercat after having double Ryuusei
@@aichisendou6375 Yeah, that sounds pretty solid as a plan to me. Either 2 or 4 Ryuseis to +13 (depending on how much you farm plates) for event & OPS boss fleets. After that at least one JU-87 a/o Wyvern - the second Wyvern could take a while - especially for casual players anyways. I would even say building up some Pirate Squads/Tigercats in the meantime until you can get a second Wyvern is the ONLY effective option right now...

Yeah its very worth it i suggest farming in 8-5 for cheaper farming and oil efficiency or in 10-5 which has better rate up dropping mark8 sub torp bp but it can be hard and it may cost more oil than u think

For general purposes where you aren't stacking a slow, yes, because it drops the torps closer than the Ryusei. For bosses where you planning your slows/stops to the second, Ryusei wins, but not by enough to matter. To me, it's more of an issue of Ryuseis being free and Stukas competing with other planes for parts.

The Stuka in my view misses less than the Ryuusei. I didn't believe until I watched torps from the Ryuusei miss the target (badly sometimes) when slow isn't involved.

Huh, my main fleet for Dark Royal was DoY/Howe/FDG. Guess my hunch on arming DoY with twin 457mm was correct after all. FDG and Howe sported Champagne's tripple 406mm.
I have some question, Why ryusei has worse accuracy againts moving target than JU-87 D-4? is the iron blood torpedos bomber has magnetic torps? torps speed same all 3, ryusei has better speed 52>51 so? pattern? please this really make me curious, I only have 1 JU-87 and 8 ryusei lol and should i make more JU?
Because ryusei torpedoes converge. If the target moves, it’ll miss because it is not magnetic. it Literally misses if the enemy moves anywhere but the converging torps

Yep just go with the best gun in slot you have. Even an HE gun would work on Baltimore if that's the best you have

I wish we had some better firepower buffing gear for Cruisers and Destroyers. I feel like that's the one type of gear that we're really lacking overall.

Putting roombas on all your ships isn't just not optimal, it's actively detrimental to your fleet's AA capabilities. It does have high alpha damage and very long range, however the reload time on it is terrible. When you put roombas on all your ships, unless your vanguard is completely filled with AA monsters like sandy or cheshire, you're basically guaranteeing that your ships will shoot planes exactly once, fail to kill them, and then watch all of them crash into your backline. This is a terrible setup for W12-13 where AA really matters.
If you really can't be bothered to optimize your AA, then at least use 40mm quad bofors for general purpose instead of roomba. It has almost as high alpha damage, much better reload, and the hit to range isn't that bad (or even relevant if you play manual.) At least then your ships can shoot more than once and actually kill some planes.
Ah.. Lobster of culture that considering using Quad Bofors..

@@melonbread4269 the 40mm is better in every way even when not min maxing. when min maxing you start doing sped adjusting and such. The 40mm quad bofers have 1/3rd more dps than the romba and fire faster so less chance of planes flying through your aa between shots

+13 increases damage output for weapons by about 18% and 3% dmg boost in Op.Siren.

There are very, very few items that you should +13 because the upgrade is very expensive. +10 gold or a few +11 blues are more than enough for any content we have right now. +13 is for min-max in both PvE or PvP, because the difference is small but not entirely neglectible.

1:39 Since Kitakaze has a skill that changes her main gun modifiers to 115/115/115 so any gun is effective against any armor type so which gun would be the best for her? the twin 130mm(best dps/high FP which help her since she has main gun+1) or the twin 114mm mk IV(fast firing rate would help to get the all out assault barrage more often)?
Kita uses the twin 114 because of its fire rate and she changes its armor mods to usable

Probably not
I thought about this as well, but I would say "no" for a simple reason: If you're enhancing a normal weapon to +10 for use on Massachusetts, and at some point you want to use another BB, what are you gonna do with that normal ammo gun? It's pretty much useless at that point... Instead, use an AP/HE gun and switch it to a different BB whenever you feel like it.
Nah, SHS is pretty bad for anything that isnt a medium armor boss, you should try to use an HE or AP gun on Massachusetts if you can
Massachusetts SHS AP is really bad as it has horrible splash radius and terrible modifiers. So you would want to just run a mk6 on her and ignore her shell swap skill
